the true problem of this game is the gameplay, it doesn't look that especial at all, and most of it is auto... so you only play for ship waifus and fanservice... unless Im wrong and the gameplay is better than what I have seen
@jojomaster7675
@jojomaster7675 3 жыл бұрын
@@xLuis89x It doesn't have to be auto. Auto is for farming or people with overleveled ships who don't feel like manual clearing stages. The gameplay is mostly just easy dodging and timing, however it can be a challange in tougher stages, like challenge mode, chapter 13 or SP/EX event stages. Most people play it for the shipgirls, but you can be a meta player as well, focusing on creating the strongest fleets possible.

Azur Lane is not- Devs: "We're decreasing the XP required for ships lvl up between 101-120, introducing a weekly pack of resources for FREE, reducing the amount of times needed to clear Event stages, AND we're introducing an oil cap that will reduce the oil consumption of fleets for Clearing mode." HOLY SHIT, I LOVE THIS GAME!

The Azur lane community is one that can respect the historical significance of a ship while, at the same time, express how much the want to bang it. In fact, the Azur lane community is so known for its high levels of libido, that once I saw a skin they were making for Arknights and people thought it was an Azur lane skin. Genshin community seems to be full of drama. At least what I have seen on Twitter.

Don't forget about the skins too! But seriously the fact that the gacha elements of azur lane is practically f2p for most players including whales makes it a superior gacha game than, say, genshin, even though I do prefer genshin's more dynamic gameplay and exploration elements.
@jojomaster7675
@jojomaster7675 3 жыл бұрын
The only real issue with AL is dock space. It's an unnecessary mechanic which forces you to either retire unique ships or spend *all* your gems on it. Arknights does this a lot better with you not having to worry about it at all and GFL also has it done better, due to the consistent income of gems and cheap armory expansion as well as not being constantly flooded with new charaters.
@leemilene
@leemilene 3 жыл бұрын
I can't agree more with that because I always had this dilemma in Azur Lane. It's pretty stupid that dock space is something to be purchased with premium currency which I think it's too bad for f2p when they arrive at mid-game or even end-game while they could give more options that we could have gems in a consistant way after claming rewards for campaign or doing the mlb and getting rewards from the memento part etc. I still like Azur Lane gacha, but I kinda got tired that this game limited your experience if you don't have enough space on your docks Arknights really does it better and premium currency it isn't wasted for only one purpose in f2p scenario.
@Hkkwb
@Hkkwb 3 жыл бұрын
Welp, they have to make sure that you spend on the game. So yea, It had to be done. Well, at least a daily in this game can warrant you multiple pull, unlike *cough* genshin, which even with welkin and daily, still not enough for a single pull.
@jojomaster7675
@jojomaster7675 3 жыл бұрын
@@Hkkwb I mean, the most money spent in AL comes from people buying skins. It's not like the game gives you many gems anyway, so having unlimited dockspace wouldn't lose them much. There are days when I can just tell myself yknow what I'm gonna just do minimal dailies that take like 5 minutes then log off and not miss much and the feeling is amazing unlike most other gacha games that can penalize you hard for not logging in and doing a million dailies.

I like Azur Lane cause you can actually get the newest introduced characters relatively easily without having to shell out cash. Heck, the value from this game is outstanding. The fact they make their money by adding great-looking skins and other optional quality-of-life additions at reasonable prices without forcing players to really keeps me playing. (shame PGR doesn't do similar I'd play it more if I could actually get a better value out of it easier.)

Their gacha system is generous af pulling super rare characters is not even hard unlike Genshin
@ThePhilosogamer
@ThePhilosogamer 2 жыл бұрын
@@erichvondonitz5325 To any future folks reading this, the 0.5% pull rate mentioned in this video is hilariously misleading. PGR has a hard pity system with a 100% guarantee on pulling all new characters, and spaces the character releases out so that you will always have enough pulls to get every new character as a F2P if you play consistently. Second, lower rarity characters are given away for free through events. You do not need to engage with the gacha at all for them. Lastly, there are many banners in PGR and they all have different comparably good pity systems. There are two variants of every limited banner, one of which has a 0.5% S-rank pull rate and a low pity threshold while the other has a 1.5% pull rate and higher pity threshold. They do not share pity counters so you do not have to worry about accidentally ruining your pity. The two standard banners let you choose the reward on every individual 10-pull, allowing you to pick up characters and weapons you want when you want them. Lastly, the weapon banner has the choice system as well as a ridiculously low hard pity threshold of 30. For a gacha game with a smaller character pool, PGR really is about as good as it gets. Azure Lane's gacha on the other hand is one of the best for games with large character pools. And unsurprisingly they both utterly shame Genshin & Honkai which each take the worst possible answers of both pull environments.

The last few days I've been stressing about how AL is doing, then I realized that my Stress and worries are pointless. With JP's 4th Anniversary coming up, I have high hopes. I really love the Game and I hope it will last for years, I really need this Game. Life will not get easier in the future, only harder. Azur Lane is the only Game that keeps me sane, always welcomes me Home and cuddles up to me when I'm sad or scared. I really wish It will go on for many years to come. The Devs are fantastic and very supportive of their Community. The Gameplay is easy to learn and easy to Master after enough Playtime. I've sadly only been here for one Year now, but I plan to stay until the very End. Which I'm afraid of... Great Video, direct and on point. Liked instantly.

I knew that Azur was very good with how the devs treat their fans but after your video Ander I have a whole new level of respect for them. I used to play Fire Emblem Heroes all the time but I got burnt out by the endless power creep. It was bad enough when a unit would be power crept once every year early in the games first couple of years quite badly but they began to power creep units drastically every dam month. Plus on to many banners I wouldn't be able to get a single unit I was trying to get little lone even one of the four to five units that where the focus units. Add to that a horrible boon and bane system on the stats and skills that got power crept every month it just got absolutely bonkers. As soon as I switched over to Azur Lane I was able to regularly get all the ship girls without to much fuss, no boons and banes on the stats and fixed skills. It was an incredibly fair system. I recently lost my account due to a sign in error and I thought I was a goner as I'd lost the only pic of my account reference. The folks at customer service helped me find the proof I needed and just 5 days later I had my account back. Yyaahh to Yostar.

It's free-to-play model is so ethical, too: the developers give you a solid base of gems just for progression and a modest trickle as compensation and for events, and that's enough to get everything you actually need: dorm slots and dock space. With the technical exception of oath rings, everything else that you can buy with gems are either purely cosmetic or have free alternative methods to acquire.

I’ve been playing since launch and it’s just such a good game to play casually. I don’t play super often but it’s nice to go on and grind up events and have enough cubes to enjoy new events. I haven’t spent any diamonds on cubes because of how generous they are with the currency. If you’re really smart with how you summon you can unload on events and have a solid chance to get everything. I’ve bought crystals exclusively for skins, but also to support the game since the developers do such a good job of taking care of everyone.

For me I used to be huge into fgo as it was my first gacha, I’m getting back into it somewhat after that idolmaster event cuz that was a miss for me. Regardless, as a fourth year engineering student, we rarely have enough time to be hitting a million buttons every minute, as I am studying like ten hours a day and AL not only respects my time by allowing me auto farming etc, but imo systems like PR, and yes, even opsi to a degree, are more interesting and complex than a game like fgo in certain ways. Not to mention we have pvp!! I love the pvp. The rates are obviously a huge factor as well, as for example I just died over the past week trying to farm just to get summer musashi in fgo and barely got her last day. In AL I have so mang cubes I can literally roll whenever, not to mention drop SRs and elites. All in all AL is the best gacha imo, and I don’t have much exp to judge based on, but you saying the same should be proof for most people.

At first I only heard of Azur Lane from a World of Warships collab. I immediately thought of it as a rip-off of KanColle since that was the only other "shipgirl" game that I heard off. Moving on a couple years later, another WoWS collab came, this made me more curious that I downloaded it myself to try it out, and oh god I actually liked it more than KanColle. To be honest, I never played KanColle but I've seen gameplay footage of it (which is admittedly, boring), but AL, is so much morr interactive and action oriented. I just love the variety of shipgirls you have along with their designs that make then stand out from eachother, unlike KanColle just having most of their characters wearing school-girl type uniforms that sometimes makes it hard to recognize each one.

It's also on of the most generous in terms of getting gacha currency and only truly charged you for cosmetics You get 4 cubes a day from just logging on and completing a few missions not counting missions On average getting 6-9 cubes a day by managing your missions means by the time an event rolls around you are stacked with build cubes

Azur Lane's Gacha Rates are fairly good, the stamina is abundant, the characters are beautiful, and you hardly need to spend real money in this game (unless you wish to oath your girls, expand your dock, or get skins). And compared to the other gacha games, this game is very simple and relaxing to play. And yes the developers are really caring and they know what we want. Props to them for being so understanding towards the community! Also, you haven't played Uma Musume: Pretty Derby? You should definitely try that.

I remember first trying AL when Girls' Frontline is still new on Global release. If I were to rate my top 3 gacha games it's going to be: 1. Azur Lane (Lots of shipfus) 2. Girls' Frontline (Lots of raifus) 3. Honkai Impact (Pretty generous on stamina system) Honourable mention: Bang Dream for rhythm style gameplay

I have to agree. Out of all the gacha games I have ever played, Azur lane has been the most rewarding when it comes to getting characters I want/need compared to any other game. It also has the least pay to win out of the ones I've played. It's rewarding without needing your wallet. The BEST thing is that the monetization is heavily from SKINS, things which don't affect gameplay. And they don't throw constant advertising to buy stuff in your face either (alot of gacha games do that). For reference, I've played heavily: Epic Seven, Bleach Brave Souls, Genshin Impact A decent amount: Illusion Connect, Ark Knights I've spent unholy amounts on Genshin though. I just wish it wasn't so hard to get characters and that it isn't (basically) a requirement to spend hundreds to C6 a character. They could just as easily make some of that money by selling cosmetics imo. Also ander is a hipper guy? Flat is indeed justice.

1) The developers give the players what they want. It's not just the fact that they will fix bugs, or add in features that the players want. But what we perverted shitty kans want most of all are waifus, and Manjuu will go all out on that. And outside of China servers, there's only a little bit of censorship here and there. 2) The best monetization system of any gacha I've played. The pull rates are quite good and we get a lot of resources for free, if you just want ships you can basically get anything without paying a penny. And then you spend money on skins, which are 100% optional and just aesthetics so there's no pressure, and you buy specifically the ones you want. The skins are not cheap (they can be like $5-10 worth of gems), but it's still a lot better than other gachas where you could spend a hundred bucks and not get what you want because the units in other gachas are tied to glorified lotteries. Manjuu isn't operating a charity so it's understandable that the skin system is the primary way they make money. Really the best part of the monetization system is, I LIKE spending money on azur lane. I get the exact skins I want, I get a lot of really good ones to boot. It's a quite common feeling in other gachas to drop money on some banner for the shiny new unit, fail to get the unit, and go "Well that was a waste of fucking money", which is one of the worst feelings to get when playing a gacha. Not once have I ever had that feeling with azur lane. 3) The community is chill as fuck. Kind of a tie in to point 1, we're perverted shitty kans and we all want waifus. The azur lane reddit for example is like 90% softcore borderline hentai fanart. Compare to many other game communities where there's always a very vocal minority who complain about fanservice in their games (funny enough, that vocal minority is suddenly very quiet if male cahracters in their games get butt naked, wonder why???). 4) Low stress gameplay. The auto battle system has been upgraded multiple times and greatly eases the grind. It's a very nice deal to be able to set up an auto battle, set your phone aside for 5-10 minutes, and come back with a completed run. Then, poke your screen for a few seconds to set up another auto battle run, and repeat. RIGHT NOW as I'm shitposting on a youtube video I've got my autobattle going. The only real problem with azur lane you can say is that the gameplay is pretty basic. It's a shoot-em-up except your ships kind of move too slowly to dodge the faster bullets in the game so you kind of just facetank everything and push some buttons or whatever. But we shitty kans know that the real gameplay is poking your secretaries for an hour, so whatever.

Azur Lane is the best mobile game because not only what you explain in the video. I wanted to add that this game is sort of like gf for boys who doesn't have relationship with girls in real life. Since is 2022, most of them say "I have bf", "lgbtq", "Not into God stuff", I only date over 6 ft guy", "I don't date nerd", "I don't date ugly boy", and etc. This game is the best and I believe it should be the number one mobile game in the whole world.

I've had a similar experience and just came to a simple conclusion after deciding to come back : You do not need every single SR Ship, you'll never have the time and resources to upgrade them, let alone use them. Just focus on your favorite ships. Hell I think Im probably going retire all the R and Elite ships I never use in order to make more space.

Didn't play campaign stuck at 3-4, didn't do hard stage, didn't even do event stage. Just started playing for real last year, got my first PR ship and now at 12-4. I've only really seriously played 3 gachas so far. I started with Girls Frontline ( GFL ), then picked up Arknights ( AK ) and lastly, Azur Lane ( AL ). Must say, AK is my favorite, but AL is my close second. Meanwhile, I've grown to dislike GFL. Gameplay wise, I like AK because, in comparison to the other two, I find it to be more entertaining - the gameplay is more fun, since, in my opinion, you have to actually play the game. In Azur Lane, I mostly just let them auto-fight, unless the fight is very difficult, since the gameplay is in all honesty, pretty simple. At least it does let you do it manually, GFL is just fully automatic, the most you have to do is just move your squads around. I like AK's and AL's XP systems. AL is the easiest one to level your characters up, thanks to the dorm and the lecture hall. Arknights is the second, since you can literally produce EXP and money in your base. These systems are great, as they let you level up pretty much any character you want/like, relatively quickly, while also not really impacting the rest of your game. I oftenly find myself leveling up characters in AK just because I like them - since even if I do, I still have enough resources to level the actual meta characters if I want to. GFL though just ... no. Once per month, you can buy supplies in the forward basecamp, which is enough EXP to fully level two characters and a half to maximum at once. You CAN make EXP in the data room, but it's a very small amount, even in a fully upgraded one. The only other way to get EXP, is by just straight up farming by playing maps. Pair it up with the fact that GFL has the slowest game of all three, and it takes much, much longer than the others to farm XP, while also needing way more attention, since you have to manually set up your route. Lastly auto-battles in GFL just suck and aren't good for farming XP. Story wise, though, GFL tops both of the other games so far. Though, it's not really a fair comparison. Arknights hasn't been around for as long, so they haven't developed as much - BUT, they are getting there; furthermore, each character in Arknights has a detailed lore behind them, that you gain access to by playing the game. Meanwhile, GFL characters may have lore, but they are mostly locked behind temporary events - they don't really have an in-game lore section where you can learn more about your doll. Outside of the main teams, GFLs characters really lack more background. And I have no fucking idea what Azur Lane's story is and nobody I ask seems to know either. And lastly ... fan service wise. I know many people don't really like too much fan service, but I do, and if there's anime girls, I want fan service. Azur lane wins hands down of course, they have loads of live 2D costumes too, and they're kinda cheap. GFL comes in second for sure, but they certainly do not have as much live 2D, and their BOOBA aren't as big as the AL ones. Meanwhile, Arknights has barely any. Which fits their world ig, but doesn't fit my dirty mind. TL;DR: -AK best gameplay. AL OK gameplay. GFL bad gameplay. -AK good EXP system. AL good EXP system. GFL bad EXP system. -AK good story. AL I have no idea story. GFL best story. -AL best fan service. GFL good fan service. AK bad fan service. I play Arknights because of the gameplay and story, I *used* to play GFL for the story, but dropped due to lack of interesting gameplay and characterization of secondary characters, and I play AL for the booba. I know this doesn't have too much to do with the video but it's 3AM and I just wanted to rant. If anyone wants to discuss anything just reply and we can have a nice and friendly chat :)

It's a good game, and I do love it, but I've deleted it many times to play newer games that come out. It's a game that I'll always come back to to check on my waifus, but I soon find myself just letting it sit in my phone doing almost nothing. If I had enough space for this and Arknights and one more (i have a 16gb storage phone) then this would definitely be a mainstay. Anyways, Azur Lane is a great game that rewards a casual (but daily) player. Definitely one of my top 3 gacha games (maybe not franchises though...).
