Samething with gymnasts and their grips for bars! They are so stiff right out of the package. You have to break them in and shape them to fit your hands properly or feet for ballerinas. 💜 Otherwise it's very uncomfortable

Why do you do this???

I break them in so my downstairs neighbours don't complain about the noise on the floor when I practice at home

For instance at my studio we have to break them in manually. I’m only on my first pair and Im only starting to push over my box. It’s my fourth class.

My point are so dead but I haven’t been bothered to get new ones, suggestions for new ones??

The same ones if they worked well on your feet, that’s what ballet dancers normally do maybe size up if your feet have grown

Getting my 1st pair on Tuesday- ur gonna be so disappointed in me-

Hey I got a question! Idk if this is a FAQ, but- When you learn how to dance, does it hurt your feet to have them pointed in that way all the time? (Like at the start of learning) it just looks uncomfortable and painful to me.
@balletfanatic7 ай бұрын
It hurts the most at the beginning, but it will always hurt. You get used to it after some time. It's actually supposed to hurt from what my teacher told me; you have to feel the floor of the shoe in order to be able to manipulate your toes and articulate your foot movements. You won't get that if you have a cloud of padding in your pointes.

I use Bloch Balance European, and I adore them. They last really long, even with all the breaking in and practicing I do with them. I once tried another brand, Grishko, I think, and they barely lasted with me.

I also just got my first pair a few months ago, and got my 2nd a few weeks ago! Also, do you have any tips for strengthening the feet/legs for pointe? My left leg is weaker than my right and I can’t find any helpful exercises… :(
