Samething with gymnasts and their grips for bars! They are so stiff right out of the package. You have to break them in and shape them to fit your hands properly or feet for ballerinas. 💜 Otherwise it's very uncomfortable

I'm absolutely brand new to ballet and just bought some, :) this was really helpful!

For instance at my studio we have to break them in manually. I’m only on my first pair and Im only starting to push over my box. It’s my fourth class.

I really hope I get into a company some day... as a prepro student the amount of MONEY that goes in my shoes

I’ve been dancing for yrs and i have my first pointe shoes and i was told to not break them and to just break them in by dancing in them. I’ve always wanted pointe shoes. I was just always on the fence about them.

I break them in so my downstairs neighbours don't complain about the noise on the floor when I practice at home

I use Bloch Balance European, and I adore them. They last really long, even with all the breaking in and practicing I do with them. I once tried another brand, Grishko, I think, and they barely lasted with me.

Hey I got a question! Idk if this is a FAQ, but- When you learn how to dance, does it hurt your feet to have them pointed in that way all the time? (Like at the start of learning) it just looks uncomfortable and painful to me.
@balletfanatic11 ай бұрын
It hurts the most at the beginning, but it will always hurt. You get used to it after some time. It's actually supposed to hurt from what my teacher told me; you have to feel the floor of the shoe in order to be able to manipulate your toes and articulate your foot movements. You won't get that if you have a cloud of padding in your pointes.

I also just got my first pair a few months ago, and got my 2nd a few weeks ago! Also, do you have any tips for strengthening the feet/legs for pointe? My left leg is weaker than my right and I can’t find any helpful exercises… :(

@Eva-Ballet123 Жыл бұрын
The same ones if they worked well on your feet, that’s what ballet dancers normally do maybe size up if your feet have grown

Does anyone know how long to use a foot stretcher

I use mine for a week and it was amazing! I still use it everyday.
