This is very resonating, agree with all points! i rmb when I first started being “selfish”. I’m not sure if it’s the right word still but it’s when I’m the most happiest and growing like crazy. All locked in on myself, and not looking at other peoples lives.

Of course. Because the definition of selfish is doing what's best for yourself. And thats necessary. In addition to that, some people more than others however value others a bit more. No shame in standing for nothing but yourself, but there is more to live for. "Inconsiderate asshole CEOs, how'd they end up on top - they're selfish". Well, you already desire that same power so you're already "selfish" in that regard. Being immoral isn't what gets them there, it's being tenacious. Many humble, good humans have that trait too, and many malicious people don't. Kindness does not mean setting aside strength, and caving to others' irrelevant requests and demands that don't fit in with your priorities. "Relying on people". Being unnecessarily dependent on others isn't good, but trusting, forming relationships and yes relying on people mean you use others' strengths to your advantage. No one has ever risen to great heights just because of their individual merit without support of others, no one.

I definitely agree! Some circumstances call for that “selfish” characteristic in this case to come out stronger than others because the situation calls for it. Not to say it applies to every situation in their life. But here it’s where it will be utilized the most.
