I usually think the reason for the wrong aliens is because, the Prototype Omnitrix wasn't functioning properly due to it being a Prototype, the recalibrated Omnitrix was because Ben overloaded and damaged it when trying to hack it, the Ultimatrix was never actually completed because Albedo only made it so it could be used, and the Completed Omnitrix actually knows the alien that Ben needs in the situation he's in so it won't give him the alien he wanted. Also I don't think he pays too close attention to the dial, because there are times when he got the wrong alien, the alien he became was the one he dialed.

From my perspective. The completed Omnitrix just has a terrible interface that sometime you can't tell what aliens you're selecting. I trying guessing many times and turned out wrong

I'd like to imagine the first few was simply because he kept slamming delicate alien technology, but the latter versions were simply cause the dials were a bit slipperier than the first few and thus would change last second in his less careful hands while the final one was a matter of the watch itself knowing better.

this is definitely Benjamin's fault most of time he either select the wrong alien and get that wrong alien or just shout out the name of the alien he wants without looking at the watch and gets a random one so you are right it is a Ben prime problem. Always don't understand why creator says the Omnitrix from Omniverse better than Alien Force Omnitrix. 1. Alien Force Omnitrix looks much cooler 2. He always gives Ben what he needs while Ben doesn't try to hack it. 3. Icons of Aliens from Omniverse looks so much primitive and ugly than even 1st "prototype" Ben omnitrix. And in Fact if you stop cadr in Omniverse sometimes you can see how Ben choise wrong alien because of this Icons.

Based on what is better: having what Ben want or what Ben would need in Omnitrix's opinion. Or better but for plot. Just to make sure Ben don't choose same alien for whole series 3. that true. Such icons have problems when it comes to choosing. Some of transformations in Omniverse were because Ben didn't see what he exactly choose.

this is my theory but for the completed i think it just knows what to give ben, like hear me out, whenever ben gets a wrong alien he either wins that fight or gets out of it without an injury, i think the omnitrix just knows what he sohuld have, i mean in alien force when ben was about to die the omnitrix had a failsafe and turned ben to Big chill, what if that was the beta version a failsafe beta, which turns into a main use, if u look in omniverse when the big bang was happening ben at the perfect time got turned to Feedback, or when he chose WAYBIG in the dial (episode where azmuths brain is stolen) he chose WAYBIG and opened up the core, but then azmuth fell ontop of the omnitrix and turned ben into Pesky dust, i dont think that the dial always gives the right alien, the omnitrix probably can adapt and scan the area, i mean the episode where ben got Whampires dna it was so well shown that the omnitrix now has a hug erange, i mean it could detect an uncatalogged life form from almost out the atmosphere, im pretty sure the omnitrix would still be able to detect life forms nearby the omnitrix to give ben what he exactly needs, the completed omnitrix just seems to be a very huge and very updated version of it where the omnitrix also has its own mind, i mean conductoid dna was banned as a failsafe to only comeback after ben accepting it psychologically,i mean theres even a LANGUAGE mode, i think the completed omnitrix just scans the environment 24/7 to adapt for any situation, i mean it kinda makes sense, cuz in the annihilarg episode he did get alien x immediatly. and normally he doesnt get alien x randomly banging on the watch also greymatter fanboy i love your videos KEEP IT UP!

I think youre wrong and its just a malfunction with the classic watch. Giving ben wrong aliens the completed omnitrix did give him what he needed but its more than likely because the omnitrix fused with bens dna becoming on and knowing what he needs. Omnitrix AI goes hard

I noticed a lot of times, Ben would say which alien he wanted to become before turning into something else For instance, a lot of times when he wanted four arms or humongosaur, and actually said their names before transforming, he would get a totally different alien

I think its because since the Omnitrix is basically Ben at this point, the Omnitrix doesnt really oblige with his requests but gives him the correct alien for the situation. I remember ben saying, i think in omniverse, "You always give me the correct alien" or something like that.

I think the completed omnitrix was made with making Ben a better hero in mind, it always picks a hero that is able to handle the situation at hand and that isn't always what Ben wants but it prevents him from relying on the same alien and same tricks every time, it helps him keep a flexible mind and prevents him from falling into habits like using humongosaur for almost every fight

I think the omntrix had an algorithm to choose every alien equally, which is why there were so many times when new aliens were revealed ben was always going for something simple. I believe this is so that ben can accustom himself to the pros and cons of each alien so that he becomes more resourceful.

The Omnitrix giving Ben the alien he needs rather than what he wants does make sense, but also, the Omnitrix was made to help people understand the lives of other aliens, so maybe the Omnitrix sometimes just chooses a random alien for the intended use of learning the aliens life style.

My personal theory is that omnitrix because it is connected to Ben's DNA it has also Ben's personality features, prime Ben is a very unpredictable kid and so do the Omnitrix, when Ben grew up he got correct aliens because he has grown up and started thinking more strategically and more clever than when he was young, we can understand this because when he was feeling awkward because Julie might think him as a freak and turned him into an egocentric, clever, robotic crab that was thinking only himself and doesn't give a shit for others. In one scene in omniverse Ben calls out XLR8, visibly selects rath, and ends up with clockwork. The completed omnitrix definitely has this malfunction, and was even the wrong alien for that situation. On top of that, the interface of that watch is very poorly designed for the number of forms it can choose from. It might take a lot of time to find a specific alien with it so I feel like Ben often resorts to just activating it whenever because things are happening too fast.

1 thing ive noticed aswell is the fact that the omnytrix tends to transform him into the perfect alien for the circumstances its smarter then that it is in a way sentient and it will only allow the aliens that are required most that the host can handle AKA the 10 ben has access to at the time. Say if you need strength it will give him for example four arms or humungasaur (sorry if i spelt it wrong never could spell them names) if you need intellegence then naturally greymatter or any other intellegent alien and so on or if you need communication with a certain species which is what it was originally created for then it will give you that species its not always because of how he slams it even though it doesnt help but azmeth stated stop slamming it diwn as it messes with the time calculation stuff so him slamming it down only effects the time not the alien the wrong alien is specificlly because the watch knows better then the host in this case ben, all the others they can only handle what it decides so therefore the limitations are more lax the watch basiclly babysits ben the others have the intellegence to know what they need and thats what it gives them plus ben keeps messing eith the damned thing so it says SCREW YOU STOP FUCKING WITH MY HARDWARE and embarrasses him because its annoyed with him and wants to get back at him but not kill him so it gives him a useful alien but not the 1 he wants in them instances

theory: what if hitting it normally gives you the transformation you choose but slamming it hard activates the randomizer. so like when he just presses it or hits it mildly hard its fine but when he actually slam's it, it transforms you randomly. So when the omnitrix first recalibrated the randomizer function was disabled but it was reset when they tried to hack it so the function was brought back.

My idea is with the complete Omnitrix is that when he slam his hand down on it he accidentally selects another aliens or selects multiple at once which sets it to random what he gets, or the system choses. Now this is a thin argument as when Azmith lost his smarts, he hit the watch Twice and gave ben 2 good transformations for that situation and he fell on it the first time, the headbutted it the second so that kinda disproves me theory. I also argue that sometimes the watch give ben a bad transformation due to frequencies, we see in Omniverse that Phil was able to force ben to only be electric aliens except Feedback. Then there's the nematrix. With the nematrix it's more it changed to counter Ben, and he was just dumb and not trying to transform into something else. Another thing to ponder is this. If Ben can just tap/slap the watch when transformered, why doesn't he do that when he mistransforms? It would save him in some situations, not all, but some.

My theory about the is that Ben has a goofy ah DNA stats which makes Omnitirx hard to calibrate to and making transformation faults. It feels like a mind-muscle connection, and his mind, well... unmatured. I think this could be the problem in all of the series of Ben 10.(Only my thoughts, I just made things up in my head too.)

I take the miss transformations as the omnitrix reading bens subconscious and ben is subconsciously thinking of a different alien for the job and the omnitrix goes for the one ben sees is the best for the job. The only reason that I think this is because the omnitrix is connected to ben mentally we know this as when ben has master control all he has to do is just think of an alien and the omnitrix trnsforms him

I think the omnitrix doesnt get the alien ben needs, cause theres an omniverse ep where ben selects humungosaur (i think) and ended up as heatblast, but the problem is, he was fighting a beast heatblast was allergic to (i dont remember what the problem is, if its a conflict between races or smth, but that was a problem with those two, so heatblast was one of the worst possible choices)

okay that does make a lot of sense because azmuth even said it ben really needs to stop doing that also if you look at ben10 omniverse ep 1 season 1 he activate the omnitrix and wanted humungousaur but if you look closely you will see that he clicked spider monkey he didn't slam the omnitrix at all that ep which means he was choosing the wrong aliens in the first place but it could be that the developers since they released one of the ep it makes sense it was there first attempt it wont be perfect that makes sence but in bent 10 classic yeah he always slam down the omnitrix so thats no surprising and also he does have a good point about ben not even looking at the aliens hes going to get he just clicks the omnitrix and hope he gets it also is it not weird when kraven was making that one dog change it to all of bens prays he try not to pick heat blast because it is a natural pray of a piranite then the omnitrix glowed on heat blast and then what was new he got heat blast and not to mention in omniverse they barley show us what hes going to turn into at least in reboot and alien force and ultimate alien force and OS at least they show us what he turns into so yeah you can tell me if im wrong but that what i been seeing
