As a black woman, I’m getting sick & tired of watching and hearing everything about race. We are all human beings, children of God, and just plain AMERICANS. We are moving backwards in history and resegregating ourselves.🤦‍♀️ I have no problem with interracial relationships just as long as either party isn’t degrading their own people/culture.

Same! (Not as a black woman but tired of everything being about race.) In an interracial relationship with multiracial children, race comes up way more outside of our home than in it. Our family is just our family and I wish people saw that.

I was a white kid growing up in predominantly black Chicago suburbs. Almost all of my friends were black. I wasn't allowed in half of their homes. I even heard one father through the door say "You ain't letting the devil in here." I didn't really think much about it as a child but now that I see it everywhere in the way people interact with me, it resonates. I used to think "oh they probably think I'm racist" or something like that but it has now changed. They think that I'm a bad person. I feel like we were really coming together at one point but then the media stepped in. They amplified stories that they could blame on white people and buried the stories that would show that we're all doing the same shit out there and there isn't one race doing everything wrong. Of course 90% of the media stories were fabricated or hyperbole. I walk around thinking that everyone hates me and it appears that I'm not wrong anymore.

Heard about a conversation where a guy I know was talking with his sister about meeting their kid's spouses. The sister made the comment about her son along the lines of she just wanted to make sure he didn't bring a white girl home. Her brother responded, "You know, biblically, the only mixed marriage is between a believer and an unbeliever." That ended that.

As a young black 23 year old, it’s so sad seeing people focus on race rather than love. It’s one thing to have a type, but when you go off skin color it becomes ridiculous. I never understood why this is considered a big issue especially in the Black community. It’s more important to focus on if the person is a true man/woman of God, and that God calls you two to become one. It’s a terrible thing to go off of race/stereotypes🤦🏾‍♀️ you’ll always be disappointed without Christ in the center!

Brandon I have to be honest... I'm a black woman and for the first 11 years of my life I went to a predominantly all black school and was always teased because I was so thin with no butt by all the black boys. When I transferred to middle school that was mixed the white children(boys) we're so nice to me. In high school it was the same way. Maybe one or two black boys had an interst in me. The white boys would compliment me continuesly on my big eyes and my long legs and said I looked like Diana Ross, and for some reason that was funny to the black boys. The majority of my boyfriends were white. My husband is from Romania and is the love of my life and makes me feel so appreciated everyday ❤️🥰 and is everything to me. I have no regrets!!! 🇺🇲🇹🇩

“Black people are far more racist,” this comment is unfortunately true. I’ve never heard any of my white friends say anything or treat anyone differently due to color. But I am in 3 predominantly black local communities that say terrible things in front of me, that I could never and would never say to or in front of another human being. I’ve also been treated very badly and excluded from many events and gatherings that were posted “black only.” I judge people by their character only. It’s so disheartening to see the hatred of another human just for the color of their skin. I am a sensitive person and love people, and have left some gatherings in tears because of how I was treated. One community I never returned to.

As a Caucasian, I got physically attacked for dating my ex boyfriend who is black. I had no idea who the black woman was until later found out through the police, it was my then boyfriend’s ex girlfriend who he shared a son with from prior years. Needless to say, shortly after the attack, we broke up. She was a jealous ex who couldn’t accept that her ex was dating a white woman. It was pretty horrifying experience because she literally stalked me and came to my vehicle very quickly after I got in my car. It could have been much worse if she was carrying a weapon. Not only that, she had criminal priors. This was in Los Angeles and I was a college student at that time. His family and nieces adored me. I was so close to his mom who was a devout Christian. I miss her.

Ok. Im gonna share. Lol My best friend was a boy named (ironically) Will smith. Lol. All thru elementary school we had teachers separating us for cutting up in class. We walked home together, ate lunch together, and played at recess together. He lived down the street so we played ninja turtles after school (early 90s). We spent our summers together, riding bikes, exploring the woods and creeks by our houses. He had sisters and so id stay the night and sleep in their room. He was the funniest, nicest, and coolest person i knew. I loved my best friend,Will. In 6th grade we went to a new school. Middle school. We didnt have the same schedule and had no classes together. It was aweful. I saw him in the hall and i ran up to him. He was with a group of black guys. I said "Will! Hey! Hows your day gone? Its been so weird here. Im so glad i finally saw you!!!!" His friends started laughing and said "you know this white girl?" He responded "She lives on my street" Then they acted like i wasnt there and i walked away.... I felt so stupid and that was the first time in my life that i realized white people and black people weren't the "same." It broke my heart and we never hung out again. Ever since that day i understood there was a "difference." Despite what people have you believe, my parents and white peers didnt teach me to see color. My black best friend did. Ge showed me color that day and made us different. Not some white racist. To this day (im 41) it breaks my heart to remember this. Racism doesnt only come frome white people. As a white girl from kansas city kansas, i promise you, i only ever saw Racism towards white people. They were punked in the hallways of school. They were beat up. They got verbally as well as physically assaulted. Nobody ever talks about that tho. Maybe someday someone will call out how ruthless white kids in predominately black schools are treated.

I had my best friends who were White, slept over, went to Black church in the township together and life was great. As soon as we went to high school, our pasts caught up with us. I had to choose a side. My friends had to choose a side. It's only now 23 years later, I have rekindled with my primary school friends and we have been hashing out what happened and our children are growing up together. But that separation and being forced to dislike someone because of their skin colour broke my heart. Still does to this day because even in my family there are people who want me not to bring my White friends around.

Decades of really bad welfare policies have short changed poor communities when it comes to stable men with good fathers in their lives. (Disproportionately affecting black communities, but not just isolated to them). And this has bred a series of baby mamas as well, women who probably also did not have a strong father/husband figure while growing up. I believe that many of these disagreeable black women are perceiving a shortage of good men, and therefore they don't like it when Black men "defect" to white women. I see it as an understandable, yet unhealthy, mindset.

I know a lot of single black woken and when I ask them why don’t they date outside their race they say no. So I think even deeper than irony is the fact that while some black men have no problem dating anyone a lot of black women have a problem with dating outside their race. Doesn’t make it only ironic but also shows their loyalty to their own race as well. I don’t have a problem with who anyone dates but I do give slightly more credit for someone who does it inside the community like most cultures do. To each it’s own but to say the irony is wonderful when they are more loyal than you is low key wild tho. Especially with the state of black community.

My family is white, but I grew up in Tampa which is extremely diverse with many races and colors all together and raised to believe in one God worshiped in many ways and to treat others the way you want to be treated. I moved to NC as an adult and tease my mother that it was to spread my upbringing here because things can be very different. But I raised my kids the way I was raised and my daughter has been dating a good Christian biracial boy from DC for years now. His white mother leans into the black culture and they attend a small black church. There are few white faces, but my daughter thrives there, and I have been specially invited many times. It is a joyful place to be and I always feel welcome. It probably helps that my daughter and I both have large, friendly personalities and grew up in churches with full band praise music. :) But I know that his family and that community would be there for my kid in a heartbeat. And I believe that when you truly respect people, and are not just putting on because you are supposed to, people feel it.

Those families would GRILL me and make me super uncomfortable. They made it about race which really surprised me. Media would like you to think white families are protecting their children from other races, the reality is the exact opposite. It’s all about parents and how your being raised sadly. I assume these girls parents didn’t want them with a white boy for some reason.

This would have been more engaging, thought provoking, and created more Talking points to discuss in the comments section. Tatum you are probably projecting!😂 People need to realize and start articulating that the black women and men that are conducting themselves this way toward Interracial couples, are more than likely the caliber of person no one else wants....It's the rot that exist in every community; Unfortunately, certain communities contain more rot than others.

I dated lots of men of different colors, and never thought I’d end up with a white guy… Well, 21 years, two children and a grandchild later, we’re still married, and the happiest we’ve ever been! Has it always been easy, absolutely not. Thanks to the grace of God, we’ve made it through some pretty tough times. I wish more people would take marriage seriously because so many people throw in the towel at the slightest bit of problems within their marriage. My husband’s best friend is black and when my husband first brought him to his house, my husband’s father said not to trust black men. Apparently his dad had a bad run-in with black men in the army, so he was pretty racist…the more my husband brought his friend around, the more his dad liked him. Fast-forward to me- his dad ended up absolutely loving me, and was so proud of my husband and I before he passed of cancer. My husband bringing me home opened the door for his little sister. She ended up with a black man as well, and had a child with a black man and my father-in-law absolutely loved him. I just don’t understand racism. There is bad people in every color. A couple of bad experiences shouldn’t be a label on EVERYONE of that color.

He told me he looked at us and said to himself, "what are they doing here?....and then y'all never left". It was really funny!😂 My husband and I taught for 3yrs. at church. We grew into close relationships with some of the kids at the school I taught at(K-12th) and then at church on Sunday. What a Blessed time of our lives.

Did every white person do that to black people? And is there no condemnation for all the black people killing other black people? Should every Irish person hate every Muslim because the Muslim pirates enslaved millions of Irish?

I’m at a total loss as to why your on here justifying why you dated and married a white woman….and at the same time talking bad about your family and friends, how your family/friends didn’t want you to bring them home.. when Collin K talked about his experience growing up you had a total meltdown and said really nasty things about his real parents and how he should be more appreciative of his adoptive parents. Back to you on here justifying why you like white women ( culture) we can go back to when you said the turning point guy was right to say/ think about when he’s on a plane that has a black pilot if they are qualified to be a pilot or did they get the job because of the color of their skin… Now my question to you is did your wife get that title with you because of her skin color? Back to you guys on here justifying your relationship … WHHHYYY… If you love her/him there’s never I mean never a reason to prove /convince it to the world … so why are you doing this to get you & her more followers? Are you doing this to convince yourselves that you actually love one another? Are you doing this for therapy? P.S. THE REASON YOUR GIVING IS STUPID BY THE …

I am a white woman who dated and got pregnant by a Cambodian man at the age of 16. Growing up I heard by many in my family that you do not date outside of your race. Well I did and I got pregnant. Many of my family members were disappointed. I had my daughter and she was a complete blessing and my choice led to many of my family members changing their minds on being with someone outside of your own race. I feel I contributed to change the minds of my family and how they felt about being with someone of a different race. Yes I was 16 when I had my daughter but she was and is the best choice that I have ever made in my life!

I’m going to be as real as can be. N you might not agree but its ok, Im still rocking with you. Your wife is being disingenuous when she is talking as though her family and friends don’t see race. If you’re in a whyte circle 9 times out of 10 something controversial comes up about race, whyte ppl will have negative comments to say about blk ppl. Whyte men would make corny racial jokes and whyte women have their passive aggression. She’s trying to make it seem like her small town is color blind. That sounds so fake to me and everything she said after that i honestly do not believe she was being her authentic self. Tatum was being real but he’s definitely projecting. Blk ppl will make a comment in our head and move on. But whyte areas will for sure stare that blk man down and speak hate. It’s funny how Tatum talked down on his community but his wife said zilch about her community. We just gotta call a spade a spade and stop making it seem like blk ppl are the only ones who have a problem with interracial dating especially when the whyte man made laws against it. It’s apart of American culture. Thank you and goodnight.

A black man with the last name Tatum, derived from the English (White) Surname Tatham, looks at his white wife and tells her she took his black last name (she agrees lol)🤯 most of his statements relating to black/white are from within this same deluded sphere of conquered reality.. I have no problem with inter marriage , my wife is Asian, I’m black but I found discomfort with my pure Asian wife giving up her traditional family name for my (misfortunate) Irish last name, needless to say I’m not Irish.. The Tatums prop up these surface level hate comments, so that he can continue to bask in the air of his white proximity and avoid more pertinent topics of inter marriage like the one I’ve layed out.. his wife clearly isnt going to tell him Tatum is a WHITE name , so I had to type this comment … YOU’RE WELCOME BROTHER

Dated many black girls through my youth..every relationship ended the second their fathers and/or brothers found out I was white.. As much as my families hated "hood" culture to the point where it seemed they were racist, the second anyone dated a non-white person, my family had always considered them an immidiate part of the family and became defensive af towards anyone who dared comment about that relationship.. As an adult, i realize my families never cared about skin color.. but they sure were prejudice towards social class (trailer trash, hood, thug, and of course never bring home a catholic...).

My mom is in her 70s so she grew up in a different time and prefers me as a black man to marry black. I told her that honestly I had more positive experiences with women from other races. With black women I always felt I was the man they settled with after picking scumbags. With other women I felt more valued as if I am a prize and it’s a better feeling. I am open to dating any race of woman but I know what type of experiences i had with women. I rather go where i am celebrated not just tolerated

i’m Hispanic and my husband is black. when we got transferred to San Diego from the military, my husband and I would go shopping and black women would throw shade at me all the time and tell me; you couldn’t find a white man to marry you had to marry our black men and my husband would respond, it’s women like you that I didn’t marry a black woman and I never will. my husband’s mother offered me money to get away from her son. we ended up having two incredibly handsome son’s. My son asked me one day. If my Nana hates you: what part of me does she hate? that broke my heart.
