The fact that the phrase, "unauthorized use of the Force" appears in this show, is all I need to know to never watch it and disregard its events. The Jedi were never the only Force users in the Galaxy. There were always other Force users and other Force traditions. They certainly _NEVER_ "authorized" the use of the force. Only the Sith attempted to affect control over who could and could not use the Force, and even that was never so formalized as to suggest that one is required to receive some kind of authorization, in order to use the Force.

I believe this is just misremembering on Amala's part, the phrase Master Indara stated was "I have an unidentified force user." Also, the sith sought to not be users of the force, but rather manipulators of it. Where they were attempting to bend the force itself to their will. I wouldn't really consider that they controlled who could use the force, but rather monitor/eliminate force users that threatened their power.

FYI : A "space fire" can happen and did (on salyut 7). it require both a source of fuel and oxydizer (aka oxygen in most cases). If those are hypergolic they do not even require a spark. How do you think rocket propulsion works in space? The SPS (main engine) on the Appollo service module, the engines on LM descent and ascent stages were hypergolic. The only thing that made the "space fire" in the Acolyte laughable is the way the flame behave. It should have looked like a blow torch or a uniform plume! Or made to stick and conform to its source like a blanket. But not as we experience it in an atmosphere!

@@solidsnx Disney isn’t doing that bad compared to what George did. His directing and writing wasn’t good at all for the prequels so I don’t understand why people are upset. Your hair is softer than sand my lady. And the fact that they didn’t know they were having twins will never resonate with me especially as a woman/mother
@solidsnx6 ай бұрын
@NDionneG005 Star Wars is/was written for children. That's why it has dumb ass characters like Ewoks and Jar Jar making fart jokes. Obviously, a lot of it is adult in nature, but that's why it's for general audiences. Anakin never said ANYTHING that stupid. Anakin spoke about his hatred of sand, how course and rough it is. Nothing like her, who is soft and smooth. Granted, it's not Shakespeare, but your memory of his lines... well, you should maybe watch it again. Star Wars is impactful and meaningful for generations. Young children, even dogs, can immediately spot the villain by the color, sound, and music accompanying him. The absolute dread of their situation followed by great triumph makes people weep. Watch reaction videos of Luke Skywalker's return in the Mandalorian, one of the things they got right, and you will see men crying, women cheering, celebrating the return of the greatest hero arguably ever written. What Disney did to him in the sequels, most fans find unforgivable. Every new show I watch, I sit there and watch my girlfriend who absolutely LOVES Star Wars, and I see boredom, lack of interest. Her eyes are glued to the screen watching Lucas's vision, and she won't even let me pause it. Yet during Ahsoka, for example, she kept pausing it, getting up, etc. No interest. It's not that it's bad, I just think Disney has a fundamental misunderstanding of what Star Wars is. The push for DEI is crushing Disney, and the reason is that they are doing this at the expense of good writing. Star Wars has always been diverse. But here is the bottom line: Star Wars is male dominated. It just is. Women like it, even love it, yes. But Star Wars appeals to men mostly by its nature. What Disney is doing is akin to saying that Barbie is too pink and needs to be more inclusive to a male audience. Then, when women get rightfully upset that what is for them is being taken away to give to a very small section of men who might be interested in it, yet get called sexist for not wanting their beloved movie/doll to change. Leave Barbie alone. It's not for men. If some men like it, good for them. But it's not the target audience. Top Gun was made for men. Women like it also, which is great. But it's made for men. The people who watch Star Wars are mostly men. They are not interested in thinking that C3PO is gay or R2D2 is a lesbian. They are DROIDS. They don't have sexuality. This is stupidity, and only a tiny amount of fans would think something like that. Most fans just want Star Wars to be what it has always been. A story about the struggle between light and dark, good vs. evil, heroes vs. villains, love vs. fear, and the heroes triumph. Disney does not understand this, quite clearly, which is why the more they stray, the less interesting it becomes.

It's not so much the acting, and more just bad writing. Let's be real, Disney hasn't had anything approaching good storytelling in decades. For one, they gave up the identity of the killer to the rest of the characters in the second episode. If they had a single clue about what makes good storytelling, they would have gotten at least six episodes, more likely eight, before giving up that information to the rest of the characters. Diversity ever being an issue in Star Wars is 100% bologna. Bringing it up in a fictional world where a very high percentage of the characters aren't even human is nothing more than virtue signaling at its worst.

The original Jedi were very cool warrior monks who struggled against the dark side, both on the outside and in themselves. They ultimately won by embracing the light.
