I think Aishwarya is the most famous bollywood actress of all time. Let me explain I live in France and nobody knows Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukherjee, Sridevi... I only grew up knowing Aishwarya as she was HUGE in the 2000s and her contribution to indian cinema is so important that movies like Devdas, Chokher Bali and pride and prejudice had a huge success here. But we must agree that Aishwarya Rai has achieved enough.. 1.She has female centric films like Taal which is as big hit as Kangana's TWMR which are bigger than Alia's Raazi, Or Priyanka's Mary Kom.. Deepika, Katrina still dont have any. 2. She did less films in late 2000s, still was highest paid until took break. Her roles like Jodhaa, Sunheri, Sujata in Guru are iconic. Even her film Robot was the highest grossing in 2010. 3.
