It really started in 2nd half of his second year cause he said the regular season didn’t matter not trying until the playoffs and he said I’d was difficult to get the young players Tatum and brown to play along with him while following his torch and accept he was the leader etc so he got criticized then after going up in the series vs 1-0 in the playoffs they crumbled and the last 2 or so games he had one foot out the door and played uninspired & uninterested in the team ..he’s my fav player but he handled that poorly but he’s grown from that mistake since and he’s a good leader and example now

Yes he was going through a lot with the loss of his grandfather but his reason for leaving was that he lost patience with the young Celtic players, specifically Terry Rozier who was in a contract year and wanted to show what he could do. He expressed his frustration on multiple occasions and even threw them under the bus by saying they needed to trade for a more experience on the team which rubbed Jaylen Brown the wrong way and he spoke out about it. When Kyrie saw the opportunity to play with KD closer to home he took it. Im a Celtic fan and followed all of the drama closely. Idk why everyone tries to make it out to be something more.
