That statement is FALSE. The phrase "Brazil, country of the future" actually originates from the title of a book by Austrian writer Stefan Zweig, who moved to Brazil during World War II. In his book, Zweig praises Brazil for its harmonious and organic racial interactions, which he found unique, especially when compared to the tense racial dynamics in 1940s Europe or the segregation in North America at the time. The phrase was later twisted into a cynical remark and incorrectly attributed to Charles de Gaulle. In reality, it's a distortion of Zweig's thoughtful and serious work, turning his admiration for Brazil into a superficial joke.

7:35 GDP going down from US$2.4 Trillion to US$1.8 Trillion is not a "drop by 75%" nor is it a "75% drop in its total GDP". It's a 25% decline as 1.8 is 75% of 2.4. Proofread your script or something. Getting simple things this wrong calls into question the validity of your other statements.

I don't even need to watch the video to know that it is pure misinformation. Brazil is breaking records for oil exports and will become the fourth largest exporter in the coming years. It is receiving billions of investment, including from the European Union itself, to produce green hydrogen and electric motors. It is the country that receives the most investment from the largest electric car manufacturer in the world, BYD. it was the second country that received the most foreign investments in 2023. the Brazilian stock market reached its record value, growth projections for this year and 2025 were increased, the poorest states in the country are growing 8% per quarter. Brazil was recognized as the most innovative country in Latin America, half of the startups in Latin America are Brazilian. Brazil currently produces THREE TIMES more agricultural products than in 2009. Its GDP ppp per capita is almost twice as high as at that time.

That is if you adjust inflation. Today's Brazil economy is ridiculously weak. If I was still in Brazil my earnings would be 11K dollars a year. When I was there I earned 17K dollars a year. but it was in 2014. So put the inflation and you see the problem.

Actually, Brazil did experience rapid growth and industrialization during the "miracle" decades of 1960's and 1970's. It was an investment led boom, fuelled primarily by FDI and foreign borrowing. Of course, the miracle ended and the lost decades of 1980's and 1990's followed. Apart from commodities, Brazil never managed to develop competetive export industries. Well, Embraer is an exception...

I believe Brazil will be fine and continue its economic growth. I worked in multiple countries and got to know and be friends with several Brazilian people. They are very down-to-the-earth, smart and hard-working. So I have good reasons to believe that most Brazilians are as good as my friends. They are also in a good position in world trade as China tends to have a good relationship with this superpower of Latin America. Most Chinese people also have very positive views of Brazil. The only critical issues my Brazillian friends mentioned are corruption of the gov and violence from gangsters. But overall. Brazil still has a good chance to become an economic and political powerhouse in the world.

Excellent video, there just a few details that needs to be addressed. Brazil is one of the biggest on using fertilizer because we also have one of the biggest agricultural productions. The reason why Europe doesn't want to buy our products is not because of environmental standards, we have 63% of the territory in protected areas, the reason is the self protection that Europe has for it's own agriculture products.

The narrative overall here is fine, with a lot of overgeneralizations and errors... The conclusions don't have much value. A prediction that Brazil will lose the 2030s today, in 2024, has no merit. A couple of issues: 1) In the first few seconds of the video, if you substituted your Nominal GDP figures (not adjusted for inflation) with Real GDP (adjusted), you would get a completely different picture. Also, when you measure Brazilian GDP in US Dollars, you need to convert Brazilian Reais to US Dollars, and part of the drop is then due to currency devaluation. Overall production has not dropped in half as you describe in your video. It's steadily increased. 2) It's strange how you associate Deng Xiaoping's (a communist leader influenced by Marx and Lenin) policies in China to Milei's (a right-wing market fundamentalist) policies in Argentina. Add that to your comments on federalism, and it does make one wonder about your views of democracy vs. authoritarianism. The latest news about Argentina is that "Poverty in Argentina soars to over 50% as Milei's austerity measures hits hard." 3) Adding to your bias towards Argentina, you mention that the US prefers to buy its beef from Argentina rather than Brazil, with no explanation. In fact, the US buys 4x as much beef from Brazil as they do from Argentina. Here's the actual data: --US imports from Brazil: Fresh Beef ($10.1m); Frozen Beef ($379m); total = $399 million --US imports from Argentina: Fresh Beef ($48.9m); Frozen Beef ($6.5m); total = $55 million Despite the overarching narrative in the video being OK, these mistakes significantly hurt the credibility of your analysis.

Thankfully someone else noted how misleading those GDP figures in nominal USD are. You know why? Just look at the 2000-2011 chart, specifically 2002 until 2011. Did we really 10x our economy in those 9 years? Hint: that would have been 29% yearly growth, compounded.

Brazil surpassed the United States in 2024 as the World's largest agricultural exporter at around $190 billion -- in the history of humanity, being the world's breadbasket has always been extremely important in geopolitics -- a lot less important nowadays, but the potential for expansion is what makes Brazilian agriculture extremely important. Brazil has the most productive farmland in the world where one acre of land can exceed 3.5 acres of American farmland (soy and cotton in the Cerrado for example). The fertilizer supply chain is a dumb Peter Zeihan argument that does not hold water -- fertilizer is a cheap commodity that is made everywhere and the chances of Denmark, Sweden cutting off fertilizer in the Baltic sea and causing global famine is zero (especially given they are allowing shadow oil tankers through). No country exports more than $3 billion in fertilizer to Brazil. With phosphates, Morocco has zero supply chain risk and is by far the biggest global supplier, nitrates and urea are just energy exports available in the global market and with potash Canada is the main supplier and salt flat suppliers could ramp up quicker than mined potash suppliers even in the absurdly low probability event the Danes want to cause global famine.
@WilliamSantos-cv8rr
@WilliamSantos-cv8rr 2 ай бұрын
nope. Brazil is not that productive. the median farmland in Brazil need 4 times more fertilizer than the median American one. Sure Brazil can have two harvests a year, and sometimes 3. But so do some parts of America.
@amizuki
@amizuki 2 ай бұрын
@@WilliamSantos-cv8rr depends on the crop -- soybeans the bushels per acre are about the same as the US. Corn is about half, but Cotton is 2.5x more. So in a La Nina year in Bahia or Mato Grosso, a soybean/cotton acre will equal 1 acre in the midwest (of soy) and 2.5 acres of cotton (in Georgia or Texas). Brazil spends 2.5x more fertilizer per acre, but double and triple cropping mean that it is really 25% more per crop. So in some cases you get more output per units of fertilizer if Cotton is involved -- it really depends on the crop. Brazilian cotton is insanely more productive than American cotton (even bigger difference than sugar cane).
@amizuki
@amizuki 2 ай бұрын
@@WilliamSantos-cv8rr Double cropping in the US is less than 3% in 2023. No-till however (another area Brazil is way ahead) is growing a lot in the US at 37% now.
@JohnDorian-j7x
@JohnDorian-j7x 2 ай бұрын
"Production" isn't the most important thing here though, its actually efficiency/profitability (which is largely based on inputs). The only reason why Brazilian land is more productive than the average world/American land is largely due to 2 things independent of the soil itself: warmth and water. This allows the average Brazilian land to have multiple crops per year of the same crop in the same field. However, its highly dependent on nutrient input for this to occur in any sort of sustainable way (i.e., needs high levels of fertilizers). And while the entire planet uses vast amounts of fertilizers for modern agriculture, Brazil is still a highlight. Its no shock that over the past few decades, China and Brazil have emerged among the world leaders in agricultural productivity growth... when those are the 2 countries with the highest level of fertilizer import and input (NPK) per acre of land. Again, that's not to say that the rest of the world doesn't have high relative usage rates of fertilizers, they do, but its generally reserved for highly advanced/developed/stagnated economies like in Europe where agricultural production has much higher political rather than economical meaning/function; its just that Brazil stands as an outstanding "leader" in the field of fertilizer inputs (which is just one of the many factors affecting crop price... and doesn't include labor, machinery, fuel, insurance, transport, processing, etc. etc.). It stands in question if this level and type of productive output is sustainable for any extended/eternal period of time, especially if geopolitical and economic changes are flux
@amizuki
@amizuki 2 ай бұрын
@@JohnDorian-j7x that kind of sums up the entire story of modern industrial agriculture. But Brazil will further dominate agriculture in the future because of water -- the most important input by a wide margin. Soil is generally overrated and can be improved drastically over time with good soil management practices. Mato Grosso, one state could easily outproduce the entire American Midwest because it has flat, mechanizable land with abundant, consistent rainfall. And land efficiency is extremely important because it is the reason cropland in Brazil can expand greatly (it has lower, but comparable total output as the US and India but with less half of arable land than either and could double outputs just by converting pastureland to cropland).

I'm a brazillian, I live in São Paulo city, I'm 25 years old, autistic, jobless since I ended high school because of serious past traumas that I still strugle to fight back, I tryed to commit suicide 3 times so far and I'm hardly considering to try again, I'm seeing this country fall apart bit by bit and I have no hope on myself to make my way out of here. The politicians from the last two decades just ruined all Brazil's potential. Everyone here say many phrases since some years ago like: "Brazil: It's laught to not cry", "Brazil does have a solution, it's called airport", "Get out of here while there's still time", "Things like this... only in Brazil...", and more recently "Try explain something from Brazil to any outsider... (you won't understand even with the best of the explanations or you're not even going to believe that's real)". As someone that saw all the world now looking to us and talking about how we're just about to meet our sad downfall and basicly half of the population doesn't believe that's comming, here I scream to the rest of the world: "PLEASE! You are just a victim of pessimistic propaganda. Brazil is not as bad as a lot of Brazilians seems to think, and will not miserably fail in the future as this video cluelessly claims. The problem is that most of those people are bombarded with Hollywood or foreign propaganda (that only shows the good side), never experienced the world outside of Brazil, and have a very skewed vision of what the developed and developing world are. Once you live outside in a developed country, unless you are from a very crippled social class, you realize things are not as good in other countries as the propaganda, and that Brazil is not as bad and have plenty of positives (that happened to me). My advice to you is stop listening to pessimistic people and media, change pessimistic friends if necessary, and focus on the good things in your life. If things are hard in terms of jobs, try moving to another area of Brazil where there's more opportunities or a better quality of life. There's quite developed areas inside Brazil, that are hiring with plenty of job opportunities.

Great video! Three things I think you missed about Brazil are: 1) the legal landscape doesn't promote legal security or uphold contracts. There are so many principles and abstract laws that a judge may judge however he/she wants. Reviewing contracts are so common that there are entire law firms specialized on it, and certain people actually live off moral damages from complaints over abusive clauses. 2) Taxes. So many taxes, it's almost impossible to do anything here. The industry should be booming thanks to a large ammount of manpower and natural resources, but it just... can't. The tax law is also incredibly complex, and a single mistake can cost a fortune to a company. 3) Sheer incompetence from the government, who's always up for applying outdated ideas that were proven to be a failure in the past - one example is the overreliance on state companies, which simply aren't efficient and are overburdened by useless bureaucrats, corruption and by particular and political interests. Just like you said, it'd take a great leader to change things: a complete overhaul of the entire state apparatus, including administration and legal framework, would be needed. But the entrenched bureaucracy would never allow that, and no matter who's the president they are the ones holding actual power and benefitting from this structure.

Nice video format and awesome edition! But, i guess you should explore what happened with Brazil before 2005, and then you can find the real sources from most of the problems that happen to us. Taking for example the own homicide issue, most of these problems come from the 60s to 80s biggest crime factions who surged due the lack of government power in some regions of the country and even nowadays the state power didn't deal with that properly for a lot of reasons.

Economic Growth: - Growth Rate: Projected to grow at around 3.5% in 2024 due to stable oil prices and increased production. - Diversification Efforts: Limited success in diversifying the economy away from oil. 3. Fiscal Challenges: - Budget Deficit: Persistent budget deficits due to high public spending and low non-oil revenue. - Debt: Rising public debt levels pose a significant concern. 4. Unemployment and Poverty: - High Rates: Unemployment and poverty rates remain high, exacerbated by political instability and corruption. - Youth Unemployment: Particularly troubling, with many young Iraqis unable to find jobs. 5. Infrastructure and Services: - Reconstruction Needs: Extensive infrastructure damage from years of conflict requires significant investment. - Public Services: Chronic issues with electricity, water supply, and healthcare services. #### Political Position: 1. Government Stability: - Fragile Coalition: The government is often characterized by fragile coalitions and frequent changes in leadership. - Protests: Regular protests against corruption, poor services, and lack of job opportunities. 2. Corruption: - Widespread Issue: Corruption remains a major issue, undermining economic development and public trust. - Anti-Corruption Measures: Efforts to curb corruption have shown limited success. 3. Security Concerns: - Militias and Insurgency: Ongoing threats from militias and remnants of ISIS continue to disrupt stability. - Regional Tensions: Geopolitical tensions, particularly involving Iran and the US, impact internal politics. 4. Elections and Governance: - Electoral Process: Recent elections have been marred by low voter turnout and allegations of fraud. - Governance Issues: Inefficiencies and power struggles within the government hinder effective governance. 5. International Relations: - US-Iraq Relations: Complex relationship influenced by military presence and strategic interests. - Neighboring Countries: Balancing relations with Iran, Turkey, and other regional powers. ### Summary: - Economy: Oil-dependent, facing fiscal deficits, high unemployment, and significant reconstruction needs. - Politics: Characterized by instability, corruption, security challenges, and complex international relations. Iraq's path forward involves addressing these deep-seated economic and political issues to achieve sustainable development and stability.😊🇮🇳🕊️💫

The reason why Brazil is going down the hill is simple: in a world facing a possible world scale conflict in near future, Brazil decided to choose the loser side, which is BRICs, now a bankrupt group of dictatorships among all are the Talibans, Burkina Faso, South Africa and Venezuela all In the lead by Russia and China. Corruption is not the root of all the Brazilian decadent economy, is the effect. The cause is ideology, socialism,

Or, you know, that little thing in 2007-the global economic meltdown. But hey, let’s not forget about the wannabe economists-they’re even better at missing the mark! Most of the mess Brazil’s dealing with today in 2024? You can thank the 21 years of RIGHT-WING dictatorship, courtesy of the Cold War, and the right-wing governments that followed. Good job, guys. Bravo. But sure, keep taking their advice. And here’s the kicker: not a single economist alive today has the foggiest idea of what’s going to happen in 2030. Shocking, right? Kind of like how no one two decades ago predicted China’s rise-by doing the exact opposite of what these genius right-wing economists suggested. And don’t even get me started on the wannabes KZbin economists -they can’t even tell you what’s going to happen next week.

That's the thing all of these crisis could have avoided if people weren't blinded by easy gains. One thing that is common to every single economic crisis so far is that it always happens when one scheme becomes far too popular and everyone starts doing it. It's actually stupid of humanity to continue seeking further enrichment instead of economic stability when it always ends with the world going under, and only a few people getting out of it unscathed. Meanwhile were people going for stability, the same people that went unscathed through these crisis wouldn't have grown so rich above everyone else.

Brazil's economic position in 2024 is characterized by several key points: 1. **GDP Growth**: The growth rate is expected to be around 2.1% in 2024, with a slight increase to 2.4% in 2025, driven by robust private consumption and employment growth. 2. **Inflation**: Inflation is projected to reach 3.7% by the end of 2024 and converge to the 3% target in the first half of 2026. However, some sources indicate a slightly higher inflation rate of about 4% in 2024. 3. **Monetary Policy**: The Central Bank of Brazil has implemented monetary easing since August 2023, which is expected to continue, potentially leading to interest rate cuts and revitalizing credit and capital markets. 4. **Fiscal Position**: The government faces challenges with a primary deficit, which is expected to be around 14.5 billion reais in 2024, and concerns about fiscal dominance affecting the central bank's ability to control inflation. 5. **Resilience and Challenges**: Despite these challenges, Brazil's economy has shown resilience, driven by a strong labor market, robust foreign direct investment, and the implementation of the VAT reform, which aims to enhance efficiency and create formal jobs. Overall, Brazil's economy is expected to experience a mild slowdown in 2024 but is anticipated to recover with sustained fiscal efforts and continued monetary policy adjustments.

Yes, unfortunately the country needs massive investments in human capital, infrastructure and R&D in order to diversify its economy and be less dependent on commodities. It's challenging because the political ecosystem is too fragmented and now it is way too polarized, so it's near impossible for the federal government to implement long term policies. In China they were able to build bullet trains connecting all their biggest cities. It took them nearly 20 years. This is an impossible achievement in western countries, especially in Latin America. I guess, democracy is a bit overrated.

My dude. The Middle-Class expanded because the government lowered the income threshold to be considered middle-class. Our minimum monthly wage at the time was R$ 622,00, and the government stablished that the middle class was any family which's income was at least R$ 300,00. This meant that any one that was previously in extreme poverty was now considered middle-class, and the people that were actually middle-class (the families which income was around R$ 5.000,00) were now considered rich. And guess what? Bolsa Familia was exactly R$ 300,00 at the time. In Brazil we have a saying that goes "Pra inglês ver", which translates to "For englishmen eyes". It means something is all show and no real backbone. We were a lie of global proportions.

That statement “Brazil is the country of the future, and always will be” is FALSE The phrase actually originates from the title of a book ("Brazil, country of the future") by Austrian writer Stefan Zweig, who moved to Brazil during World War II. In his book, Zweig praised Brazil for its harmonious and nearly organic racial interactions, which he found unique, especially when compared to the tense racial dynamics in 1940s Europe or the segregation in North America at the time. The phrase was later twisted into a cynical remark and incorrectly attributed to Charles de Gaulle. In reality, it's a distortion of Zweig's thoughtful and serious work, turning his admiration for Brazil into a superficial joke.

PART ONE: Aaron, you simply do not know what you are talking about. (1) Brazil has mastered the tropics, meaning by that that Brazil learned how to put the tropics to work for it and not against it, and because Brazil is a tropical country it can produce three different crops of the same culture per year. Take the example of soy, which was not a tropical culture but a temperate culture. Brazil developed soy varieties that could be grown in the tropics, and for the past two hundred years the United States have always been the biggest soy producer and exporter on Earth, followed by Argentina and by China. Now Brazil produces alone more than these three countries put together but ten years from now it will be producing the double of what those three countries produce together. We have succeeded in developing wheat varieties which can be grown in the tropics too, and in a matter of a few years more, Brazil will be beating all the traditional wheat producers on Earth. Brazil is rapidtly increasing its corn production, its rice production, Brazil is already the number one in the production of sugar, cocoa and coffee (the revenue Brazil obtains with the coffee business is equivalent to the revenue the Americans obtain with soy), and we are the biggest exporters of animal protein, and fruits, etc.; (2) Brazil has become self-sufficient in energy, being the biggest hydroelectricity producer in the West and second in the world (second to China, but soon we will be producing more hydroelectricity than China), we are becoming every day bigger and bigger in the production of solar energy and in wind energy, and in oil and we are the only country producing green hydrogen. Our hydrogen is produced with hydroelectricity or solar or wind energy, all of them renewable and non-pollutant; (3) Brazil is building two transcontinental roads and two transcontinental railways linking Brazil to 6 ports in the Pacific; (3 in Chile and 3 in Peru), and Brazil is crisscrossing the country with new railways and roads, and is building new waterways; (4) Brazil has built the third biggest aviation industry in the world, and our aircraft is much appreciated throughout the world. Brazil designs and builds its own conventional diesel/electric submarines and nuclear submarines, and it operates 2 nuclear power plants; (5) Brazil designs, builds and launches to the outer space its own satellites using rockets designed and built in the country and Brazil has by far the best space launching base because it is right in the line of the Equator; (6) Brazil built the biggest particles accelerator in the Southern hemisphere and has just concluded the most modern bio security lab in the planet, and is one of the 10 countries on Earth in the production of higher mathematics and scientific papers; (7) Brazil has just concluded the construction of a huge, massive network of irrigation canals, which spreads over more than one thousand kilometers to bring in water from a perennial river to the draught-stricken Northeastern region of Brazil, which has 18,25% of the country’s area (an area equivalent to Alaska) and 27% of its population (57 million people). This area was the poorest area of Brazil to begin with because it did not have enough water and secondly, because Brazil only became self-sufficient in oil in the 21st century and it spent the whole 20th century having to import oil from the Middle East, and being a poor country, it always had serious trouble to get hard currency to buy oil, because our international reserves used to be very small and never enough (nowadays, Aaron, you idiot, we have international reserves which are higher than Argentina’s GDP), and due to that, the bulk of our energy was produced by hydroelectricity, and since the Northeastern region did not have enough water, it followed that it did not have also much energy. And the combination of lack of water and lack of energy made the Brazilian Northeast to be the poorest region of the country. Now this is over. It is a completely new reality now, and for the first time in centuries the Brazilian Northeast will have all the water it needs and all the energy it needs, and hence, the Brazilian Northeaster region, from the poorest region will certainly become the region with the highest growth in the next decades;(8) Since you are a naughty brainless school boy, I feel compelled to help you to add two and two (you go and get a pocket calculator, because I am sure you will need one to be able to add two and two). One issue which I am always astounded is the frequency with which foreigners (usually of the European or American varieties) mention the issue of “Corruption”. Don’t you guys have any shame? How can Europeans of Americans dare to raise the issue of “corruption” in Brazil, considering the Biden Family, the Obama Family, the Clinton Family records, and just to mention the British equivalent, Boris Johnson. I am not going to talk about the French or Italian Politicians because I would have to fill in a whole page mentioning local politicians’ names. So, we do have corruption in Brazil. True enough. And you will try to convince me that your politicians are all of them the reincarnation of Mother Theresa of Calcutta, right? However, pretty soon Brazil will begin to place its produce in 3 Pacific ports in Chile and 3 Pacific ports in Peru, and here comes a very difficult part for you Aaron: you will have to take a look at a world map, or in the very least, a map of South America and if you do that, you will conclude that the great Brazilian granary, which is the Brazilian Midwest, is located only 1500 km from the Pacific and more than 3000 km from the Atlantic ports. So, what is going to happen in just a few years more is that the Brazilian produce will no longer be hauled to the Atlantic ports, they will be hauled either by brand new railways (much lower freight cost) or brand new roads (which will anyway cost less than transporting them by road up to the Atlantic, so the Brazilian FOB Pacific Ports will be much smaller than the current Brazilian FOB Atlantic Ports. However, the Chinese, the Japanese, and the South Koreans will no longer have to pay taxes to cross the Panama Canal, they will no longer have to go via Cape, they will be able to use bigger grain carriers (less freight per ton), the ocean freight rate will be much smaller because the distance to be travelled, round trip will be cut down from the current 90 days to about 50 days, and the financial cost will be equally reduced. So, all in all, from now on it will be much easier and cheaper for our most important buyers to buy grain etc from Brazil, and everybody will be damned happy. This is a win-win situation. And since Brazil has solved or is on the verge of solving its traditional logistics bottlenecks, it follows that the Brazilian GDP will keep growing as I explained above.
@fabiofaria4243
@fabiofaria4243 2 ай бұрын
PART TWO: It is damn difficult to gauge accurately the Brazilian GDP essentially due to two reasons, the number one being the complexity and volatility of exchange rates, and every time you try to figure out the current Brazilian GDP you come up with different numbers, sometimes higher sometimes lower than the prior numbers. The second reason is because for the time being Brazil is being managed by the same scum that is doing their best to destroy the United States and Western Europe, above all Britain, which is the left criminals. But they will not be at the helm of the country for much longer, and Brazil will resume its traditional, conservative, deeply Christian behavior. So, for the time being, Brazil is indeed mismanaging its economy and its finances, because this is what the left does worldwide. The “socialists” do not build anything. They destroy everything they touch and in case you need further examples to illustrate the truthfulness of such remark, all you have to do is to watch the Democrats are doing in the US and what the Whigs are doing in Britain. But as I said, their reign will end soon and Brazil, being the power house it is, will soon recover from such disasters. I have no doubt at all about that. But because of that mess that the left is currently doing with Brazilian finance and economy (the only thing they know how to do is to increase tax, to increase the tax burden of the citizens, they are doing that in the US, they are doing that in UK and they are doing that in Brazil as well) and the result of such idiotic behavior (you see, Aaron, you are not alone) is that there is a huge tax evasion going on in Brazil, and since those who evade taxes do not go about bragging that they did evade this and that amount, it is very difficult to gauge the real Brazilian GDP. My guess (and my guess may be as good as anybody else’s guess) is that the amount of tax evasion is around 30%. Meaning by that that if you add the amount of economic activity which is not picked up by the government’s radar, the true Brazilian GDP most likely than not must be already bigger than those of France and UK. Again, it is difficult to gauge the Brazilian GDP due to the constant exchange rate fluctuation, but I would guestimate that it is about 2,5 Trillion dollars as of 2024. We will most probably double such GDP 10 years from now, i.e., by 2034, and again, most likely than not, will again double it 10 years later, i.e., by 2044. So, get you pocket calculator and make that math, Aaron: if our GDP is now 2,5 Trillion, by 2044 it will be 10 trillion US dollars. Naturally, you being the idiot that you are, you will laugh at such numbers and will say that it is just typical Brazilian wishful thinking, typical Brazilian bullshit. Easier said than done, etc.

PART THREE: However, the reason why this is most likely than not going to happen is because Brazil will be able to rely on permanent, constant, firm, inelastic demand for its grains, coffee, cocoa, sugar, animal protein, fruits, vegetables, you name it, simply because the world has reached now 8 billion people and guess what, Aaron, would you believe that those guys need to eat preferably every day, at least once a day? And would you believe that the only two countries capable of guaranteeing the necessary food to those 8 billion mouths are first of all (and you make no mistake about that, Aaron) Brazil, and secondly, the US. Without the help of the Brazilian and American farm and ranch production, the world will face famine. And Brazil can simply ignore the possibility of the “international community” applying surcharges on the Brazilian exports (China has this problem, but we don’t) because increasing the cost of the Brazilian food exports means aggravating the problems of the poor and undernourished people all over the world. And the reason I am very much optimistic that we will grow as I have outlined to you, Aaron, is due to the following: currently the biggest (by far) buyers of Brazilian produce is China, Japan, and South Korea. And in order to pick up the goods they buy from Brazil they have two possibilities: (a) either then send their ships via Panama Canal which presents essentially two disadvantages, the number one being that they have to pay high taxes to cross the canal back and forth and secondly because they need to limit the size of the grain carrier because the Panama canal cannot accommodate ships largen than 70 thousand tons, meaning by that that they pay comparatively higher freight per ton using a smaller ship; (b) or they dispatch their vessels via the Cape. If they use the Cape route they do not need to use Panamax size ships, they can dispatch to Brazil much bigger grain carriers (usually displacing 150 thousand tons or more) and thus paying a smaller freight per ton. But whatever the case, they take about 90 days to make the roundtrip, and they have to sail through some 20 thousand miles just to come to the Brazilian ports so, they pay higher freight rates, and they have higher financial costs with the opening of letters of credit and so forth. You should do your homework, Aaron and watch these videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpm7pKenhsiXh5Ysi=L3pcRiBPCX-98o8j (How Brazil dominates Sugar Production Without Burning Fields) kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZorEg36carp8eMksi=Ktvl17SBKdfgc8hd (Exploring Brazil’s Economic Landscape (Agriculture and Trade) kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5bNcnt8jNpoidEsi=ObGxeo28nQCk5hyq (Los megaproyectos que Están Transformando Brasil)

It's funny for you to make this video without talking about the US intervention in brazillian politics to benefit from the privatization of state-owned companies and other projects that would stop it's reliance on american and european imports... If that wasnt enough, you speak as if Bolsonaro hadn't favored the US in international politics over national development brought by rising chinese economic expansion, which you also say that doesn't want Brazil to industrialize, a completely false statement that ignores chinese investment on new factories and development projects such as infrastructure that the US and Europe would NEVER help Brazil to build and get better deals in the international market. Your video is born outdated as it ignores the current state of the Brazillian nation and it's role in tearing down the international order established by the US in the 1990's with neoliberal policies of "free market" which only benefit the ultra wealthy and also fails to acknowledge the achievements made by a country that does not bow to the interests of the West.

We have already lost the 10s, it's a lost decade starting from 2014. 2.9% GDP growth in the single year before re-tightening of austerity was celebrated as if that wasn't small enough to translate into lower per capita. On the contrary, I fear for Balkanization in the next decade. This has been a long term project by our adversaries and separatism and regional and social chauvinism is endlessly advertised by NGOs and corporate media. Much easier to deal with 5 or 6 tiny irrelevant banana republics in competition with one another, like what happens with Spanish America.

Brazil's current political and economic situation is deeply troubling. After over 30 years of leftist policies, the country has seen a sharp decline in education, healthcare, security, infrastructure, and the economy. Under President Lula's administration, corruption has worsened, with the government blatantly violating the constitution by arresting opposition figures, including politicians, journalists, and influencers, while even blocking platforms like X (Twitter). The Supreme Court, which is the most expensive in the world, plays a key role in supporting these abuses of power. Despite Brazil’s natural beauty, rich culture, and friendly people, the political corruption and incompetence make it a risky and unstable environment for both living and investment. For now, it’s best to avoid Brazil until the country is under more competent and transparent and reliable leadership. This is my advice as a Brazilian.
