What a QB does throughout an entire season is more complex than yards and td/int ratio. Like Nick said (and I get he's a huge KC fan, but it's still valid), Mahomes has more game winning drives than Burrow has wins. The wins themselves don't matter, but if a QB is doing everything CLUTCH to get those wins, it matters. Burrow is having an amazing statistical year. And more than the fair share of losses can go to the defense. But if you polled 32 head coaches on which one you'd want with the ball when the game is on the line, at least 30 are saying Mahomes. He's very Brady-esque that way.

I’d be willing to bet that it’s about 50-50 for who the average football fan if asked on random who won the MVP in 1997 vs who won the Super Bowl, they’d have about as good a shot with either. So while the Super Bowl definitely has more bragging rights and is the ultimate goal, MVP is similarly important to the overall legacy. Tom Brady with rings but prior to his 2007 MVP wasn’t taken as serious in GOAT conversations. Similarly Manning with MVPs but without a ring similarly wasn’t taken as serious either. Brady has 3 MVPs and 7 rings. A player might not ever eclipse 7 rings but might be considered the GOAT if they were to get 6 MVPs with 4 rings.

Bills have beat the two best teams in the NFL and have a better record. Sure they lost to the ravens early in the season, but thats also because basically every bills wr was new. Also, Lamar has the 2nd best RB in the league behind him who, idk, helps. A rising star in Flowers and Top 5 TE in Andrews also help. Stats don't give the full picture here, Allen is more important to the Bills than Lamar is to the Ravens. The only reason the Bills are where they are is because of Josh.
