Front office stinks, coach stinks ..both constantly making poor decisions . 11 games in first 20 days with no practice time to gel. Teammates don’t seem to collaborate well or return the ball. Averaging just like 10 or 11 shots per game with seemingly little offense being run through her. Coach Sides doesn’t seem to endorse her style of play. And then there is the bitterness and resentment in the league that even seems to exist on her team against her. And the shameful way in which veterans have consistently diminished her and put her down rather than reach out and mentor her. All while being the most heavily scrutinized basketball player in history. Throughout it all she has kept her composure and grace . Seemingly everything has gone against her and she is still breaking records . She is still a generational talent; it just seems like the culture in Indiana is terrible actually and the culture of the WNBA is jealous and dysfunctional. But she will prevail. I wish she could be traded to a team who is willing to embrace and protect her. She is breaking records against all odds as it is.

This is a stupid question, her team is losing because it was the worst tean for years and they have an incompetent coach. Even if their team is halfway decent, do you really expect them to start winning right away? Wemby came and did nothing for his team at all, the team win during the previous year is the same number of win during his rookie year. michael Jordan who most everybody say is the GOAt had his Bulls reach a winning season in his 4th year.

Struggling??? Her numbers are better than any rookie ever. Better than any point guard now. She is on a crap team. That's half the TOV. If she took more shots, be 20 plus a game. She top 5 in assists. Top guard in rebounds, top guard in blocks, her steals a decent. Her shooting % would be better if she wasn't double teamed all game. No picks, no one passes on her team. Last 5 games she is shooting 45% from 3, 7 reb 8 assists and 17 pts. That's awesome in the W they play shorter quarters. On a better team those numbers would be better

I mean...struggling is a bit much no? Fastest play in W history to record 300 points, 100 assists and 100 rebounds. I wouldn't say that's struggling. I think if she was on a better team that was willing to work with her, you would see a drastic increase in numbers, but I don't think struggling is a good word to use. You don't get constant double teams if you are a crappy player. They are all worried about her abilities. But we'll see what happens. Maybe her team can learn how to set a screen
@Dribble-Films

No, she's not really struggling. lol It's all for dramatic effect so in upcoming episodes it's more rewarding when we put all the records she broke as a rookie and debunk it. Indiana is the worst team in the league, but CC is the best player in her team already as a rookie. And like she did with IOWA, she carried her team to 4-straight wins and flirting with that 8th seed spot for the playoffs.

I think next year will be so much better for Caitlin. She won’t be a rookie. Christie Sides will hopefully not be the coach. She will have survived a hellish rookie season and the fever will most likely get another high draft pick. One more piece of the puzzle to help them win. But, they’ve got to do it before Boston signs elsewhere.

Yes, she’s definitely the most improved rookie. I can only imagine what she’ll be lile next year. When she played New York for the second time, it was her best performance at that point. Uh... she was the No 1 pick. That usually means she was drafted to the worst team in the league. Here are some other numbers for reference. Peyton Manning's rookie year, Colts went 3-13 that year and don't ask Coach Jim Mora about the playoffs. LeBron's rookie year, Cavs went 35-47 and missed the playoffs. Iverson's rookie year, Sixers went 22-60. Don't tell Iverson he needs to be a practice. Ken Griffey Jr's rookie season, Mariners went 73-89. Wayne Gretzky's first official NHL season, Oilers went 28-39-13 It's hard to win in any league at the pro level when you are a rookie on a team that isn't the best.

Christi Sides is a B- coach with limited leadership skills, questionable basketball knowledge, and emotional issues that prevent her from progressing as a coach. Blame, blame, blame, that is what B- coaching does. Good news for Christi Sides is that the WNBA does not have the money to hire A+ coaches or coaching staff. When the WNBA does then some of the A+ college coaches will get hired.

Not to burst your bubble on pondering after watching two minutes in maybe from part 1, only what did you not notice on the loses. Clark had just finished the college championship in NCAA college basketball, then to the Fever. No rest to write and not practice with her new team. They were playing the best defenses from last year with expectation of being again in the 2024 season, with Fever being the worst team. You expected Clark having a magic wand making other teams become worse them. Lobo in minutes 3:22 making it sound the WNBA was welcoming the fans of Clark when really players have expressed on interviews the opposite. I have learned Lobo has a forked tongue too. Up to 4:50 you have been in the yarn about myths. Also, depending on the refs, players, teams, and whatever the refs were calling fouls on many no fouls and not calling when it was. It has not gotten much better but how it was in the first 6 weeks of refs have been a turn around. What is holding the Fever back would be the other players and coach not knowing how to play with Clark. The college coaches with Clark stated they play the game of Clark, as she only knows how to play to win. Get use to catching passes not many players can pass, helping her get open will get the inside open for closer shots. She is the form of a MJ just not as spearheaded towards her teammates Jordan was.

Unless Indiana replaces the GM old man river and the coach Christie loves donuts, Sides the next 4 years will be a disaster. As far as being traded, there is no way Indiana would agree to trade. The simplest and easiest way for Clark to go is to buy out her WNBA contract. It's literally only 300-350k in total, so trust me, it's not an issue. If Indiana tries to sue for breach of contract, just counter sue for creating a hostile work environment, etc. If the WNBA does not allow Caitlin Clark to terminate the contract and move to another club, then sue the WNBA. Caitlin could walk into a 5m plus percentage deal for the Big 3. But honestly, there is a real possibility they expand it to a 5 a side format. Trust me, no joke, there is no way her representatives let her stay at Indiana past this year. 😂❤ Even better, the collective bargaining agreement is voluntary it's not mandatory. So her payscale doesn't have to adhere to the WNBA's arbitrary percentage allocation 😂❤

And the Championship Title, whether College or WNBA, that eludes Caitlin Clark critics like to use against her as not being the greatest women's basketball player ever, is just a matter inevitable time. Struggling, well she was Rookie of the Month in May and she could possibly be rookie of the month in July after making HISTORY with a "Triple Double" playing against the current #1 team in the WNBA "New York Liberty." A few days earlier she was playing Taurasi team Mercury and she only missed a "Triple Double" by 1 rebound! So I think she's adapting to the WNBA. Fever is currently in 7th place which is a Miracle considering their VERY poor start at the beginning of the season. So there is a real chance of qualifying for the playoff's if the Fever keep improving.

Also keep in mind that Clark hasn't had an off season yet. She basically went straight from the Final Four championship game, straight to the draft, then right into playing games. And the Fever had an absolutely brutal schedule at the start of the season. Clark needs to keep improving her rookie year, which she will. But you know she's going to put on some weight and improve her skills even more in the off season.

She is massively overrated. 300 p 100 an and 100 r is a bs “record” that no one knows or cares about who had the record prior. Turnovers will be a record that will last and is far more significant. Honestly. Overall slightly above average at best.
@Splooie99

There are several factors involved. CC just went through the NCAA season and tourney, with no time off. This is a challenge physically. The level of competition is a step up overall. She has had no time to practice with her new team. It takes time to develop awareness of your teammates on the court. At Iowa, she had 4 years to develop awareness. As I expected, it would be a tough transition. Now that she has had 2 months with her new team, she is starting to adjust to the level of play. The Fever also had a challenging schedule in the front half of the year. The break for the Olympics will help her out in a big way. No matter what, she is a talent and will be a force to be reckoned with.

@@Dribble-Films The first time I got a suggested video was during the build-up to the 2024 NCAA Women's Final Four several months ago. I watched that video, featuring Caitlin, and was amazed the first time I saw her shoot the ball. I then started watching everything I could on Caitlin. I've never been interested in basketball, ever. I don't actually like to watch men's basketball, what with their acrobatics and dunking ... I don't care. But there's something about Caitlin's shooting that's awe-inspiring. Watching a ball thrown in from up to 40 feet away is beautiful to watch, but even more amazing that it's from such a small person. I'm 5'10", so Caitlin is two inches taller than I am, but I'm rather thin and weigh exactly the same as Caitlin. As a basketball player, she's not big. You may have heard some people call her "Shorty." Then I started seeing videos on her passing. She passes like an NFL quarterback, throwing the ball to where a player will be, not where she is now. Caitlin leads them and they have to keep running to get to where the ball will be. I've become very addicted to knowing how she's doing, and I SO want her to succeed on the same level that she did in college. I've bought the WNBA League Pass and Prime Video so i can watch games that are not on ESPN or CBS, or any other network on cable. It's been disheartening just how many people resent her and also how she's been dealing with some teammates who don't pass the ball to her. And that's not to mention her coach, who has an old-style post-centric basketball philosophy. The coach has been trying to work Caitlin into the coach's idea of how to play basketball, instead of reworking her coaching around Caitlin. Finally, last week, reporters FINALLY put the coach on the spot and asked her why Caitlin wasn't shooting ... in that last game she shot only nine times, while passing the ball to everyone else. Caitlin, being unselfish, had been turned into someone who looked afraid to shoot. I never saw her like that, passing up opportunities to shoot, almost as if the coach were living in her head, saying "...don't shoot the ball; pass it...." So the coach had to respond, with the cameras on her, by saying Caitlin should shoot the ball at least 15 times per game. So finally, it's 'out there.' The coach's words are documented, so I think Caitlin needed that to feel more free to shoot, which she did in the wonderful victory against the Mercury and Diana Taurasi. The teammates are working with Caitlin more and they're figuring out (slowly) how to catch the ball. The team is better now than they were at the beginning of the year. I'm hopeful they start winning against better teams.
