I'm late, I just found this. I got a little story I'd like to tell. I had the opportunity, just briefly, to be in the same area as Kim Perrot as she was at Houston Intercontinental Airport. I was picking up someone at the arrivals pickup at Terminal C and... there she was. A little across the way. This was when she was already in the throes of her cancer treatment. Not wanting to bother her, but still wanting to encourage her to fight and show appreciation for what she had and still was doing for Houston, I yelled to her "YOU GOT THIS, KIM!" She smiled and waved at me, and that was that. My single moment with Kim, hoping to help in whatever way, even just sending her love. I wish it had been enough. It obviously wasn't, and she passed away later. :( But still, what we got to see, what she meant to all of Houston at the time... Yep. She was special. #3 for #10.

Im here because of Caitlin Clark and i was not disappointed. This was an amazing documentary! And now i know more great WNBA players and know more about Sheryl Swoopes other than her controversial comments about Caitlin Clark. Wow! These girls were awesome! They need to bring the comets back!

You forget that the owner stated he didn't want to support having lesbians as role models for his daughters. I remember being shocked that he would say that. But there was no cancel culture back then.

Interesting how Cooper become apart of the Comets and the commissioner admitting to not knowing how good she really was ….

They thought because of her age(34) she wouldn’t still be as good as she was . As a fan of that team, I’m glad they underestimated her lol

This was the LIKABLE team. This team had no outside ego, no demanding for political anything, no trying to compare things to the men. They went out, played ball, had charisma that most NBA players could never dream of, and beat out everyone. End of story. THIS is when the WNBA was good. Not because of the Comets and the dynasty, but because they were enjoyable to watch. Rest in Peace Kim Perrot. #3 for #10

I need a full docuseries with interviews. Give me a 30 for 30 like the Bulls got. The Cometa were my team. I had the gear, ball, and cards I remember when the WNBA hosted it's only game in my home state. I was an excited kid. I still have signed cards.

90's sports was so much fun to watch. And as a young man I did have a major crush on Tina Thompson. The Houston Comets and New York Liberty was some of the best basketball back in the day.

I'll be the first to admit that when the WNBA first debuted, the Houston Comets were my favorite team. There was a genuine interest and buzz for the league. Watching the Comets dominate and establish their dynasty was really entertaining. Kim Perrot was the spark, glue, and heart of that team. God Bless her soul and may she rest in peace.

I remember my parents taking us on a trip just to watch the Comets vs the Shock back in 98. My dad was all things Detroit and my mom was all things Houston. That day I became a fan of Cindy Brown, Lynette Woodard, Swoopes and Cooper. I was so sad when the Comets went under smh

I've long wondered what happened to the Houston Comets, the 1st dynasty in professional women's 🏀. Now, I know. It's such a sad story. The Comets were my team! (At least in the 🌎 of professional women's sports.) Once Copper retired and Swoops got hurt, things were never the same for this legendary franchise. I hope Houston will one day get another pro-women's basketball team. They deserve a sencond chance at it.

This is when I loved watching the WNBA. CC is the GOAT. And it’s not even close. She was 5 or 6 years past her prime when the WNBA kicked off and was STILL the best in the game.

Same happened to the Detroit shock. 3 time champs and somehow we lost them to another city. After the comets and spark Detroit was the next top tier team.
