Companies want to work with agreeable yes men who will push their product. Corporate types also shy away from any whiff of humor or sarcasm, generally speaking. Regular people offering honest opinions on a product are more rare, but far more interesting to watch as a viewer in my opinion.

Yes, but let’s be honest why would you spend time on someone who expects 240 or now 480fps slo mo and perfect stabilization, even while walking with a wide lens? Yes it is amusing, but these companies are not in it for the creativity, if you don’t fit the vision you are not in. You can be critical, but you have to get some credit first. Is it fair, no, but marketing isn’t fair. Let’s not kid ourselves, influencers are marketing.

The monopod I use wasn't designed for photographers, but for shooters of a different kind. It's the Primos Trigger Stick Gen 2. There's not a plate or screw on top to attach your camera or lens, rather there's a sort of cradle arm in which I rest my large lens (well, actually, the cradle arm is removable, but the screw that remains is larger than the standard camera tripod mount, so you'd need to search for an adapter). The operation for adjusting the height is very quick and convenient. The handle is comfortable to hold, so the monopod could double as a walking stick as your age begins to rob you of sure footing.

hey casey, i'm with you on the prime vs zoom choice. for wildlife photography i use the nikkor 300mm and 500mm PF primes. my hands aren't steady, so i use a tripod with a gimbal head, tho i can get away with hand holding at high shutter speeds. i'm just getting into video, and hand holding would be a disaster for me with those focal lengths. BTW, all the lenses looked great on that rig today, but why not stick with either the sony with an AF lens or put that nikkor 85mm t/1.8 on a Z6iii (but use the nikon FTZ adapter) and enjoy AF instead of fumbling around with manual focus?

Panasonic needs a longer prime, but they probably don't want to directly compete with the 300mm f4, and 400mm might be a hard sell for a mft prime. But just to have one that works with the TC and has dual I.S. would be worth it. If Olympus and Panasonic didn't act like children and worked together to make their lenses work as good as they can be, that would be nice as well. But yes: just make it 350mm.
