Ladies, do you want to know what your guy is thinking about when you ask him what he's thinking about and he says, "nothing"? This stuff. He's thinking about this stuff.

I saw him in Detroit last year. He'd worked past the stutter. As I was using the bathroom before going home, some idiot said, "he was funnier when he stuttered." Completely looked past all the jokes, and wanted the disability instead. For my part, I think Drew's a brilliant comic.
@aliengranpa3 ай бұрын
He is brilliant, but the stutter did add something to his delivery. He's not worse without it, it's just different.
@The_Real_Mier2 ай бұрын
He has not ‘worked past’ his stutter. He has learned to implement the techniques to control his speech in many, maybe even most, situations. This includes the times he is doing his shows. But there are still moments where the stutter will be a lot more notabel than normal. He has made a video about a situation when, during one of his shows, there was a very angry man in the crowd, who acted quite aggressively towards Drew. Understandably that caused a high level of stress for Drew, which had a direct effect on his stutter. (Drew does point this out himself in the video, so I’m not making any uninformed assumptions about this.) To claim that he has ‘worked past’ his stutter, implies that he doesn’t have it anymore at all. And that is simply not the reality. Moreover: his comical talent is amazing and, in my opinion, is NOT dependable of him stuttering or not.

@@MFKitten his stuttering could be cured. His therapy has already shown because he rarely even stutters on his free-speaking podcast. It’s incredible. Since he began stuttering do to a baseball accident when he was a young adult, it’s not a genetic or inherited thing that’s linked to his dna. It’s something that came on by happenstance and his speaking quality now compared to 5 years ago is night and day. Will he have his stutter forever? Only time will tell. But if his improvement from now to where he was 5 years ago is any indication, I’d say no he won’t…
