Have to agree. I know he's not trying to copy AVH's sound but a drier sounding snare would have been better to these ears for whatever song he is playing on this kit.

is there a reason why the ride cymbal is so quiet and so incredibly dry? great cover.. not an easy song at all. alex van halen has a very non standard way of approaching fills and breaks
