We got a call from the Washington County sheriffs dispatch for two vehicles that were stuck on the Lava point road.
We were able to get them both pulled out to safety without too much difficulty.

I discovered your channel over Thanksgiving and been binge-watching ever since. Owned 4wd trucks, jeeps, winches for 40 years and I'm a mechanical engineer, but I've never seen anyone do what you can do with so little equipment. I really appreciate your personality, manners, temperment, and humility - very refreshing. When I was little most people were like this, now it's very rare to find someone with a civil mindset, and that's what's wrong with this country now. We pulled our trailer to Utah in 2015 and just about all the locals we interacted with had similar personalities and manners, even the teen agers. You folks in Utah are doing something right. Keep posting - I love this stuff! I'm ordering a hat to go with my Jamie Davis hat.

Matt I just want to say you inspired me, yesterday after a long day of snowboarding I was driving home through flagstaff, AZ and saw a van stuck in some ice/snow in a parking lot just off the road. I hopped out and offered to help, and was able to pull them right out with my ford escape and 15’ tow strap. If it wasn’t for these videos I don’t think I would’ve had the knowledge and the courage to help those people

I think I have seen every video you have done. I really, really, enjoy, watching you guys. That being said, you’re a saint for not ever showing disgust for the stupidity of some of the drivers. I think the last one of the little white car got me to finally post this. I get some people go,in when it’s dry and it rains and turns to a mid, fest, but going in a road, like, that with a two wheel drive car is just plain stupid. Kudos to you for never making your clients feel stupid. I think every Subaru owner or rav 4 owner should be forced to watch these tomorrow, what not to,do.

/wave from UT County. Its amazing how many folk get stuck down there. How do you keep from damaging the low plastic front bumpers on these cars? Seems like the upward force of the attachment chains would break / crease the bumpers. I know my wifes nissan rogue has a hook you can screw to the frame behind the front license plate. Me personally... I keep 1 set of chains in my truck year around. When the snow flys, it becomes 2 sets. Thats my "around town gear". If we are heading off road, i add the hi-lift, shovels and come-along. It only takes once to get rescued by Search and Rescue to never want to be rescued again :)

XJ's are awesome and very affordable and if you lift it high enough you get into the secret brotherhood of the Jeep hand wave. I've had mine for 7 years and it's been a love hate relationship. The kids and wife love going out into the woods with it. 6/1/2" lift 33" tires, lots of suspension work and a check engine light that comes and goes when the Jeep needs attention. If you are a DIY type, the engine is so easy to work on and the support community is huge on KZbin and online.

People don’t understand the creativity that goes in to towing. I purchased a 1979 bronco in Vancouver and on my first day used a grassed over trail (never use a unused trail) a land slide wasted the trail and I was forced to back up. Unfortunately I left it in 4 low and ran over a 1 ft round rock I had dislodged on the way in as my truck came up on it the truck being as wide as the trail rolled off the rock and dropped me off the edge it was a recent clear cut and the only thing that saved me from 1000 ft drop was a quick growing cotton wood that stopped me. It can be deadly on the mts. That same day a xj due to the high elevation his motor quit and he tried to coast down lost it killed his buddy and barely survived himself. We aren’t talking more than 5000 ft in elevation.your videos should be a lesson to the uninitiated hill can kill

Snow compared to blow sand... one you spin and make ice and other you spin and sink down to the frame... both you need to keep your wheels going straight ahead until you get some momentum going. fun fun

Wow! That's quite a nice rug you've been hiding under your cap. Wish I had one like it. You should take cap off to scratch head while pondering how to set up extractions showing it off a bit more.

Oh the beauty of the Lava Point Road. In December? Something with skis would help. Thank you.

Matt I enjoy your work I had the pleasure of working at a Service Station WITH a FULL SERVE ISLAND we had 2 tow trucks 67 GMC 3500 w/sling and early 80’s GMC 3500 with tilt bed & sling and some of the toes I would go sit in the cab and LAUGHED for however long it took to dechuckle myself from the ridiculous situation they had gotten into, you just hook n pull; this car seemed reluctant to give up it’s perch

Matt, maybe visit the Winder Towing website, and order yourself a hat to keep in the Yellow Banana. Just a suggestion...
