Here in Texas, a majority of the trucks have pristine beds and have never seen dirt. They are driven to work, not FOR work.

Yeah paying 70+ thousand for a truck you don’t want to beat it up. I found this when I purchased my 2021 ford bronco. Thing was 58? And people want me to drive it on rocks and shit. It’s like nooo I’m not doing that. Also they aren’t built well either

@@LazyBrosVidzthen why are you buying a truck or a bronco? Why do you want to deal with all those concessions in a truck like it’s massive size, difficulty of parking, lack of a covered storage area without accessories that cost extra, and horrible gas mileage only to never use it for its intended purpose? Like what’s in a truck that makes you all willing to spend that much for it, deal with those compromises, and never use it for its intended purpose?

@@patrickkillabrew6207not just an F150 crew cab, but a lifted F-150 crew cab. That’s why whenever I see a truck that’s actually used for work whether it’s towing a work trailer, has ladders on it or some rack in the bed, or looks beaten up and used for a long time, gives me some relief that some trucks are actually used for their intended purpose.

@@KNRS927 the size, I’m 6’4” so I like the space the truck especially gives me. Also I live in NH so the snow, and gas mileage isn’t terrible my Silverado gets me 21 mpg right now. Bronco was worse at 17.5? But the Bronco I purchased because I loved the old ones I just can’t spend 100k on an old Bronco that’s restored. But the truck it’s just the space, the motor, the size being up higher. And having the bed has come in handy a few times it’s not like I’m constantly having something in the back, but I moved out my girlfriend from her apartment and it just worked out well. I probably will never go back to a sedan again

We just decommissioned a truck at my work. It was a 2017 F150 work trim. When I was cleaning it out I found the old window sticker in the glovebox. It was $34k. Just by curiosity I went online and built a 2025 in the same trim and options. The total came to $48k. This is unsustainable for working people whose wages aren’t keeping up with inflation.

Cars need to drop close to 50% for the market to be normal. Cars under $40k almost don’t exist. Base 911s go for $150k these days, but the car just ain’t worth it. Once car buying stops, then manufacturers will have no choice but to return to lower pricing, granted by making much worse cars. Whomever will figure out that 120 speakers and 65” monitors aren’t required in your 5 ton SUV and will be able to build quality cars for affordable price will win the market.

Actual car enthusiasts know that cars lose value. There's only been like 5 cars ever that have beaten the S&P500 over decades. And those cars are in the tens of millions of dollars. Cheap money and limited supply during COVID caused values for limited volume cars to skyrocket to unsustainable levels. So people who aren't actual enthusiasts started looking at cars as a way to make a quick buck. Buy a Cybertruck or a Rivian in the first year of production and flip it for profit. It was never going to last and I hope all those idiots sell their cars and never buy to simply flip again.
@guerorobles4237 сағат бұрын
You are right all cars lose value but some cars plummet in value the second you drive it off the lot and others still lose there value but very slowly or if they drop they stay stable. Example if you by a used golf gti you can get those with 80-100k miles for like 12 grand and then there are cars like my 2014 Tacoma with 51k miles and that truck has dropped in vaule but if I sold it I would only lose a small percentage compared to a person who bought a brand new VW or Tesla

in texas, truck market is BIG but people are paying over 100K for a pickup truck because its a different edition than a standard. i remember an F350 platinum Dually was going for 75K and that was alot. now that same truck is over 100K which is crazy and you have a F250 blackwidow or some other variant and its at 115K or 120K which is stupid! and thats how you get yourself into a whole that you cant get out of.

Unfortunately for a lot of people who bought during the peak, circumstances have changed. COVID stimulus is gone, and the cost of living (groceries/gas/rent) have also shot up. If you gotta choose between feeding/housing yourself or the fancy car you bought over sticker, you're gonna choose the former. If you can't keep up on your repayments, sometimes you gotta get out even if you're underwater on the loan.

@@Arcrux384 If it is that desperate then just let the bank take the car, have the repo man come and get it and just stop making payments, file bankruptcy.
