People like Shannon Sharpe command respect. He's earned it with his work ethic on and off the field. He's mentally and physically tough. I dont agree with his politics or all of his takes on games/players. However you dont disrespect the man. He's a HOF player, and will probably be a HOF color commentator when it's all said and done. He gives everyone respect up front and expects it to be given to him at the same lvl. Skip Bayless created this show and recruited Shannon Sharpe for the position. Why did Skip do this? He knew Sharpe's work ethic would drive him to be the best host he could be. Shannon has now eclipsed Skip Bayless in my opinion. I believe Shannon will get an offer from another network and create his own show. Or he'll continue pushing his podcast and go about his business by himself. Either way I'm actually glad he got away from Skip. I never enjoyed listening to skip's arguments or his constant need to suck his snot up his nose. (Cocaine addiction for sure) Dude constantly sucks up his snot and you have to question why is his nose running 24-7 in the middle of the summer...?

Personally I think Shannon Sharpe deserved more respect. 3 Time Super Bowl champ, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Thats on the field. Then he makes a transition into media, and he is one of the most well spoken/ well thought broadcasters in recent memory. Shannon Sharpe performs at a high level in everything he puts his mind too. This is why Inside the NBA is such a great show, everyone's so relaxed around each other, they don't feel a need to try and attract views by saying "controversial" things for no reason.
