I read Swedenborg by the light of the Sun ☀️, or artificial light,...yet I often find, if I read them & then close my eyes, the very same words have profoundness of meaning in the innerlight 🤔

To be content with God is to believe we are part of Him, not outside of Him. The subconscious mind, innately within us-a place of quietness and security where all things are known, is the mind of God. Where everything we do and think is recorded, and shapes our reality. Mantras in our head, negative or positive, are like prayers- that shall be given depending what we asked or focused on. If we take our focus on what we can get or demand from the world or from God-will respond back the same thing, ended up striving but never arriving. But instead, if we focus on “how may I serve”-will respond back to us, “how may I serve you.” .. We get “what we are,” but not what we want.
@offTheLeftEye4 күн бұрын
Thank you for expressing this dynamic, allthetopbananas Yes, when we are focused on what we demand rather than how we can serve we miss out on that inner contentment. When you describe believing that we are a part of God, I remember how babies believe they are part of their mothers. It takes a while to know that they are separate. May we return to that place of unity.
@allthetopbananas42324 күн бұрын
@@offTheLeftEye Yes, absolutely, and that’s correct. Really appreciate your thoughts on that..thank you. In unity with God and the Heavens, our soul family, angels and ancestors, they are even there surrounded us, even in the physical world. We are home. We just look within, in absence of the ego mind, our false self, that we have to let go of…that happens usually when we’re asleep. However, when our mind is troubled, we are completely disconnected.
@offTheLeftEye3 күн бұрын
Yes the mistrust does disconnect us from God, allthetopbananas. Sleep can be a blessed time of release, though I realize it is not always for all people.

Exactly right. After pandemic, most people experience anxiety in their lives, and beginning to understand the causes and how to recover from it, that it’s not just all to do with the physical brain and body, but as well to do with the mind and spirit, affecting our whole being. The practice of mindfulness, go into nature, or sit in a quiet room and be “still” .. God’s one and only voice is silence, a place where there is no finite there.
@offTheLeftEye2 күн бұрын
@@allthetopbananas4232 Yes, "Be still and know that I am God" is a beautiful passage. The pandemic did do a lot to frighten people, and to divide us. God wants to comfort us and reassure us that He is still guiding us.

How to receive the 'essence' of God so that you are not only made in the image of God but have received the 'essence' of God. It is all told in the Padgett messages and specifically given in the Prayer that Jesus gave to James Padgett back in 1916. I wrote music to that prayer because it is so important and is more easily remember by practicing it with music. View that on my own page.

Thanks! Follow you from Stockholm, sometimes walking Swedenborgsgatan thinking about this man's ideas which I have always found sympathetic and attractive. But I also consider how little spread his works are, here also, and wonder what they might tell a larger community about the present turbulence in the world. Perhaps you have a clue.
@offTheLeftEye3 күн бұрын
We too wish his books were better known, Sal. How great that you live in his home town! We believe that sharing Swedenborg's ideas can help calm the turbulence in the world. Let's keep trying.

The book Making sense of nonsense by Raymond Moody is important and will make following the narrative easier for everyone. Ramanamma Who? Author and 21st-century prophet. Is delivering a final message to humanity and its story. It has a fantastic twist, and it is the kind of message that every soul needs to hear. ❤️🙏RW

But don't you have to almost pretend that that is indeed the case? I want this to be true more than I want to breathe but I simply cannot shake the inkling that I'm playing "make believe."

That it is indeed the case that God is taking perfect care of us, Elizabeth? I look for, and find, evidence of God's continual care for me, and it reassures me. Wanting it more than you want to breathe is a beautiful way to describe hope in God.

Having enough "success" to survive, without having to siphon money from my family, sure would be nice, though... In the end, we all need some minimal success in our lives in order to survive. ...And I don't mean this as being famous and known nationally or internationally. I mean that as having a bunch of people who trust you and value what you can do enough to pay you justly. The goal is not wealth and glory here. it's eating and having a roof. And even for that very ordinary goal (which God forced upon us by thrusting us in a body, BTW), you do need SOME amount of success.
@offTheLeftEye17 сағат бұрын
I hear you Angelineer. I know it is very tough for many people to be able to keep enough food on the table and a roof over their heads. That is something I wish I could snap my fingers and fix about this world -- so everyone felt the satisfaction of having something to contribute, and the comfort of a secure home.
