I kinda feel like Chi Chi provides all this structure because she is the only functioning parental figure to beings who could near effortlessly take over the planet. (Well, Piccolo becomes Green Space Uncle, but he wasn't always like that) That's a huuuuuuge responsibility, and if this were a different genre, people would be on her case if she weren't a firm enough parent. Folks fixate on her literal power level, but they don't focus enough on the fact that she provides a level of down to earth normalcy that even Bulma can't provide as a pseudo aunt, as she's a wealthy, tech genius royalty, basically. (which is funny, because Chi Chi is kinda an actual princess, as daughter of the Ox King) She keeps Grandpa Gohan's legacy alive in the next generation, in terms of hard working, grounded humility, in ways Goku kinda can't, as he just doesn't know how to parent in some ways, and is often gone due to his necessary acts of heroism. And the entirety of Dragon Ball centers around that central idea- that unlimited power is best when its weilded by pure intentions. I personally wonder about how clueless she actually is- and there are many moments where she doesn't seem to be quite on the same page about what is at stake. But since she always acquiesces to the side of saving the world, I kinda feel like she does this to play a part, almost like a "Keep calm and Carry On" kinda thing. The underlying message being: (I have complete confidence in you, Gohan. Obviously you're going to defeat the bad guys, which is why I can continue to worry about your homework. There will be no apocalypse. Everything will be okay, honey) Its a shame she is relegated entirely to tertiary character status, defined entirely by her relationship to the primary and secondary characters, but she's still important to Dragon Ball as a whole IMO. Chi Chi sets tone and enriches the emotional intelligence of everything we DON'T see on screen

Chi Chi is annoying... Like a parent that reminds you to eat your vegetables or that you need to keep up with your homework. And you'll be grateful for it once you grow up. If she was unreasonable, both Goku and Gohan would just ignore her.

By the way this Chichi that has the power level of 300 is itchy that does not have the use of ki which means that if he actually gained it her power level would basically double because that's what happened when Goku unlocked his ki for the first time it went from a 10 to 20 so that means that Chichi should have a about a power level of 600 ki. Which means that Chichi would have been 1.4423076923 times stronger than a husband at the beginning of the Saiyan Invasion Arc. Then have her trained with the other Z Fighters and how old would definitely get to be 9 to 16 times stronger. So Chi-Chi's power level would be between 5,400 to 9,600 and that's not including her rage that would probably boost it by at least double and then add the Kamehameha wake up the fully charging it becomes five times stronger than that which would mean basically see having a 10 times multiplier in attack so either way she basically could take out Nappa both in a base form and great ape form. This means without Kaio-ken she is stronger than Goku. And all depends on when she goes to Namek she could be stronger than Goku all the way up to him becoming a Super Saiyan. If she goes with Gohan Bulma and Krillin she will only get a 40 times if her potential is like Krillin but if she goes with Goku see you first increase your power by 10 and then if she goes to Guru and get the potential unlocked it becomes another 40 times multiplier which means that she becomes 400 times stronger in total and yes technically speaking she would be stronger than Goku's base form but not his Kaio-ken forms or Super Saiyan but he actually might teach her Kaio-ken. Sadly even with Kaio-ken she would not be stronger than Goku's Super Saiyan unless she's able to use it all the way up to 100 times Kaio-ken like in the movie Dragon Ball Z Lord Slug Goku was apparently able to increase it by 100 having him use Kaio-ken times 100.

Actually Chichi Remains my favorite girl from dragon ball overall and I always get pissed off when both the fans and the writers m,ake Chichi look and behave bad. Yes I also wished that Chichi should understand why they need to train and fight, but over all shes the strongest and best woman in all of dragon ball by all that she actually does for her family and it continues to be treated as lame..... Chichi deserves justice and respect. I love Bulma, but Chichi needs more love, cuz she deserves it.

Honestly IDK where the Chi Chi hate comes from…. Like yeah she whines, but its completely justified but at the end of the day she understands whats the benefit for the greater good. She actually reminds me of my own, same over protectiveness but she always let go in the end.

I think the reason why Humans are broken is because of how Ki works. Its made up of 3 parts which includes Vigor, courage, and right mindedness. Saiyans may have tons of Vigor from due to their race but a lot of them were cowardly. But humans can have courage and right mindedness which can also greatly amplify their ki. When you combine the all 3 into a hybrid its no wonder the result is a stronger warrior.

You know what i think chichi trained for seven years think about it when goku hit her she got hurt really bad now when she was training goten she probably trained her self for 6 or seven years goten hit her in a super form and it didn’t even hurt chichi one bit. in other words she probably could fight a super sayain and that is a goten’s level. no wonder goku loves her so much she is probably stronger than videl not To mention even Mr satan or yamcha when he was at that fighting level when frezzia returned even piccolo was not stronger than goten at the time. It was only when he trained for 3 years did he get as strong or stronger. By far chichi is one of the most strongest human female characters in dragon ball.

I respect Gohan for wanting to be a scholar, but I always wondered if he wanted to be a scholar because that's what he wanted to be or because that's what Chi-Chi wanted/forced him to be 🤔. To her, Super Saiyan kills Martial Arts and how to be stronger as a fighter in her mind and like taking steroids or having a cheat code, her taking the true essence of getting stronger and fighting seriously & respect the true ways is really admirable. I thought years ago she calling him becoming a monster was just she hates Super Saiyan as just itself but I realized yesterday or day before it's just it vs the honest & natural way of being a stronger fighter.

It's suggested by the fact that humans make up the majority of the most powerful people in the universe that the problem is humans simply haven't developed their martial abilities... And also that their current training techniques while ultimately better, are worse without someone of higher power to work with since Raditz is low class and easily out classes goku who is also low class... Implying that earth training held goku back from developing as a Saiyan.

problem with chichi is that the anime goes out of its way to show her more nagging side to the point where the fan base sees her as more annoying than well a mother I think the same thing happens to sakura from Naruto as well the anime portrayed her as more of a bitch to Naruto while in the manga she isn't that bad or abusive towards him hell its because of the anime that everyone for some asinine reason think goku was wrote up to be a hero (even though in the anime that only happened like once)
