I don't think you need radiology, most hospitals have Ultrasound techs on staff for at least 2 of the 3 shifts. The techs just have certificates and do a lot less, they just take pictures and then someone else usually reads the results and makes the diagnosis. If there's a joke, my brain didn't get it haha

Ecography uses just soundwaves so it can be done by a doctor (internist, gastroenterologist or anyone with sound imaging competences) without much preparationn prior, it's completely radiation-free, so there's no necessity for radiology precautions or trained staff. It this was just a joke i apologize for having it fly over my head and dunking into explanations haha

I had my orthopedic do an ultrasound on me for my wrists, you don't really need a radiologist for it.

@@MsBELLE7I’m not sure if you’re serious with your characterization of ultrasound technologists but as one with a specialized degree in cardiac ultrasound I rather take exception to your comment that we “just have certificates” and “just take pictures”. We are the doctors’ eyes and ears and if we miss it, they do too. If we don’t know what is on the screen there is no way the doctor will get the information they need. So, no. We are way more advanced than JUST picture takers. Please pass that on as I am tired of explaining it to those who would rather look down on us lowly picture takers.
