One of the eeriest moments I've ever had with Star Wars is in the Revan novelization, and it's when Darth Nyriss and Lord Scourge visit Nethema, and then Revan followed by Meetra Surik. Witnessing the aftermath and feeling a completely lifeless planet. Drained of everything even the presence of the force is missing. All of them have the same reaction. They do not want to be on this planet any longer then they have to be and never want to visit it again. Those scenes give me chills. Vitiate is truly something different.

This isn't quite right. Vitiate was well aware of Zakuul for centuries. He put Valkorion on the throne with a part of himself in him from the get go, with the intent of the Eternal Empire of Zakuul being his focus and the Sith Empire being a means to an end for it.

Dude also was the only one to be able to generate Force Storms through sheer power and effort of will, said Storms could rip the crust off of planets and consume entire armies and fleets

Vitiate had both Sith and Eternal Empires at the same time early on during Revans imprisonment Vitiate left a piece of his spirit behind to control the sith empire and found Zakuul where he then took control of a man named Valkorion and with Valkorions body gained control of the eternal fleet and built the eternal empire also during this time Revans light clashed with Vitates darkness allowing Vitate to gain a better understanding of the force what was all channeled into Valkorion then when Vitate was struck down by the Hero of Tython that part of his spirit just went on to possess a Voss who was later struck down by his new wrath the old one having joined the Hero of Tython so his spirit then left to recover on Yavin near enough to consume the deaths of the battles during this time the Valkorion body had fallen in love had children and became distant from his spirit and thus his attention being focused on the Sith empire and Republic then once his spirit was empowered by Revans doing he went and consumed all life on Ziost then fully retreated back to his Valkorion body and thus giving Zakuul his full attention...

Stupendous Wave said that Vitiate took control of Valkorian after he consumed life on Ziost, but that’s incorrect, he had been in control of him for centuries. Tenebrae had grown tired of the Sith Empire and all their backstabbing bullshit and was planning to replace it with the Eternal Empire of Zakuul when he got it to where he wanted it, which is why he claimed Valkorian’s body. When the Vitiate body was killed by the Hero of Tython, and the Voss Mystic body he had used to try and study Sel Makor on Voss was killed by his new Emperors Wrath, he would make his way back to Valkorian. You might be better reading it on Wookiepedia because it’s seriously convoluted chain of events.

So, hard to understand this comment, but I assume you mean what would happen if Vitiate succeeded in his goals only to face Aboleth? Yeah, Aboleth would get absolutely *smoked*. Vitiate's goal was to consume the entirety galaxy in order to ascend beyond death. He eventually came to the conclusion he didn't need to resort to such extremes to do this, but *had* he succeeded in this, we're talking about an entity so ridiculously, absurdly powerful that it would be akin to something like Q from Star Trek. Honestly, I think ol' Abby would have just got absorbed right along with the rest of the galaxy, had Vitiate been successful. Alternatively, if you meant by your comment what would Vitiate do if he encountered Aboleth after conquering the galaxy? I dunno, probably come up with some kind of ritual to contain/absorb her while sending waves of cannon fodder to delay her, until he either came up with a way and succeeded, or failed and had to face her in direct combat. In which case that body would probably die, and he'd take over in another body, only for the process to repeat until either Aboleth finally got him, or he finally succeeded in containing her.

@@hanrockabrand95 The most terrifying aspect is a hypothetical prime vitiate actually does gain control of abeloths power since he actually knows and has the genuine means to use his ritual to do so and he's no where near lesser in power or abilities than anyone abeloth faces at all. And he's basically on some kind of par with the siblings. Maybe not the father mind you but close to it. If we take a prime vitiate and we take imprisoned abeloth I could totally see him not choosing to kill her outright even if he has the chance and actually taking all her wanton power which is nigh limitless for himself. Remember he wants absolute and unquestioned omnipotence and foolproof immortality. What better way than to take her power for himself outright? He'd be unquestioned. He would be able to outright take anything in the unknown regions with the flick of a finger even at that point. He could destroy the entire galaxy with his power outright as well. 2:30 that's a nice tale you've got there but that's definitely not how I remember it. I remember a certain loathsome republic chancellor taking the opportunity to invade Ziost, leading many thousands of republic soldiers to be possessed and making the situation worse. No coalition was forthcoming. Also the EMP technology was, to the best of my knowledge used before Vitiates influence extended beyond new Adasta (just realised that's another place named after King Adas, that guy really left his mark on Sith culture) and vitiate consumed all life on Ziost whilst there were still people fighting to contain him, a single wave of death sweeping in an expanding circle around the planet. Also he possessed Valkorion and built the eternal empire on Zakuul long before the events on Yavin 4 and Ziost. Is there an EU book where this version of the story takes place because I do not remember this from the game.

Thanks for the video, While during the last decade the House of M has had one misstep after another dealing with SW, love or hate the gameplay, Bioware has added some incredible amounts of lore to the SW franchise, while making fans look at the franchise in completely different ways. Vitiate, the Star Cabal, the force viewed at not as light or dark, but as a river of power. While adding an small army of interesting characters and storylines along the way. Most of the character companions are so well done they could hold their own as lead of their own stories, as shown in the later parts of the SWTOR game.

You know, you've this wrong. That much time didn't go by between the end of Shadow of Revan and the beginning of Knights of the Eternal Throne. Vitiate was being Valkorian all along, and his long silences between the treaty of Coruscant and the present of the SWTOR game was when his consciousness was away on Zakuul rather than in his Voice on Drommund Kas.

Vitiate possesed Valkorion long before Ziost incident and long before Zakuul was formed. He said this himself in Chapter 2 of KotET that Valkorion was only a young hero with big potential when Vitiate took hold of him and Zakuul a primitive planet but extremly strong and balanced in the Force. He was, as stated by Darth Marr, absent througout Sith history to build Zakuul and gained title Eternal Emperor because possesion gave immortality to Valkorion's body. I believe he was building both Empires almost simultaneously. And Zakuul was his focus. He was loved and worshipped by everyone there while experimenting and fueling his power and immortality in Sith Empire. As he said himself, everything but Zakuul was a means to an end. Now, I am not sure how aware he was of Machine Gods of Iokath but since they are central figures of Zakuul religion he probably knew more than everyone. Zakuul was on the list of planets that Iokath creators experimented on so the technology was omnipresent in that region of space. Plus we know he kept Zildrog AI for himself. He probably used all that technology to make Zakuul technologically far above everything else.

Actually in the game, tenebrae/vitiate had already founded the eternal empire thru valkorion around 500 years or so before the events in the game. Plus the eternal empire also had the eternal fleet that defeated both republic and sith so there's that

Valkorion ruled Zakuul for around 500 years but only Zakuul while the Sith Empire span multiple planets, sector etc. So I think the Sith Empire was more successful. Yes the Eternal Fleet that defeated both Republic and Sith, but in the end it is the Sith Empire that survived the longest (in various forms later) and is still remembered.

The only problem I see is that it had NO buildup from the previous movies because none of the writers ever communicated and the story had no direction. The idea of body-jumping predates the sequel trilogy, so that really didn't seem like a bad idea. I've heard very few people complain about him doing that in Dark Empire.

If Viciate ultimately decided to abandon the empire he built up why did he put in the effort of anointing a new Wrath (the sith warrior) what was the emperors plan for his new enforcer? before his betrayal lord scourge the previous wrath had stayed at his emperor side for 300 years carrying out the emperors will directly and had become privy to and inner workings of the emperors hand oppositely the new wrath after his task of stoping Darth Baras was complete is seemingly kept at a distance by the hand. Only sending the occasional cryptic message of the emperors condition but only once is this lord wrath given direct orders form Viciate and after wards is given free reign independent from the authority of l the dark counsel but for what purpose. Officially the emperors wrath is to destroy the emperors enemies and protect his lords position in the sith warriors case he grows to a legend inspiring fear and admiration Why would viciate care about unleashing the wrath if he no longer cared about being emperor .
