My guess is that when the riot MMO comes out will be based on the modern era and people will be able to roll demacian mages, I'm guessing they don't want class-faction restrictions

Im thinking the same thing. One thing I dont want though is if you play a Noxian, to just casually stroll through Demacia. But a Demacian mage under Jarven IV would be cool

Regardless of what Ghostcrawler said about not wanting to divide the player base into factions I simply couldn't imagine creating a Demacian character and being allowed in Noxus completing quests over there. Recently I've been playing LoR and in the Path of Champions when you fight Garen in Demacia you find Ashe, and when you fight Gangplank in Bilgewarer you find Noxians and Swain. So what if the MMO had 2 factions: "Demacians" vs "Noxians" and that could be the base game. The "Demacia" faction could be composed of Demacians, Freljordians (Avarosans) and Ionians vs Noxians, Shurimans and people from Bilgewaters? Sylas left to join the Winter's Claw to raid Demacia so that would make them a common enemy of Demacia and the Avarosans and Ashe might want an alliance with Demacia to help her unify the Freljord against Sejuani and Lissandra. Ionians could want more protection against a possible incoming Noxian invasions and Demacia already offered them help and refuge in the past. As per Noxus they already occupy Northern Shurima (I believe the rest of the continent will either be a high level area or even locked for a future expansion, and Bilgewater could be occupied by Noxus in the future. Then Piltover and Zaun could either be neutral (a bit like Pandaren in WoW) or they could join a side, maybe the second season of Arcane will give us more clues. And I don't think Targon and Ixtal will be available as starting areas. That's just my speculation though, I'd love open world pvp and clashing against an army of enemy players while shouting "for Demacia/Noxus!", we'll see

And what if the final quest for the base game would be, regardless of faction to wage war against the White Rose and LeBlanc and she were the final boss. Then you manage to kick her out of thr black citadel (maybe she makes you believe you've killed her) and by doing so you accidentally allow Mordekaiser to return to Runeterra and this were thr first expansion, fighting against Mordekaiser's undead army to save Valoran

If they do a faction system that would definitely be the way to go but I think the will go more in the direction of order hall system in legion. (Not sure if you ever played WoW)

Why wouldn't they?the land is raided by Demons, everywhere there's some frickin mage or magical creatures doing some shit, like the void on Shurima, The gods in the fredjord or the ice witch, like, demacia is a peaceful peace bc of their racism

I don’t know if you could say peaceful but there is definitely a case to be made for why magic, or really any power, will eventually lead to evil. Does evil pursue power or does power cause evil. Regardless magic is definitely powerful on runeterra!

"Mageseeker doesnt change much" You cant be serious? It completely changes the political landscape of Demacia they went from being witch hunters to having a royally ordained mage sanctuary and the mage seekers being outlawed. Thats way bigger than ruin kings temporary changes that return everything back to the status quo.

Doesn’t change much of the original lore of Demacia is what I meant! It then caries the lore forward and the ending is a Demacia who looks at mages and mageseekers completely different.

Im sorry but the game dropped the ball. Lux was to passive, j4 only writen to be a simp, Garen is not lawful stupid: sona; who was menat to be a balance between lux and sylas was a no show, no other champ affected the lore, and sylas now feels like an irrelevant piece in the story which not only sours his later apperances but makes feel pointless in the end. Only shyvanna and morgana felt right.

It especially stings when the reason the persecutions got bad because barrett's deathw as used as a catalyst for the worsening of mage persecution only for the game to barely aknowledge his family almodt as it they never existed its one of the reasosn why demacia needs a lore reboot@@MagicButterfly549

I say it's even worse than that. Lux is now a female stereotype that chases after bad boys, wants to do good but makes things worse because of how stupid she is. Jarvan and Garen are mindless bots, without any intelligence or morality, doing whatever the plot demands them to do. Many characters like Poppy, Xin or Sona were turned irrelevant. There is only one character (Sylas) that hogs all the spotlight. Demacia as a region has been reduced to a flanderized wasteland that has nothing going on for it except "Magic man - good, Demacia man - bad". Oh, and Morgana is a Mary Sue. Demacia has to be the only region with zero appeal or fantasy. There is nothing interesting about it, there is nothing unique about it. Just move on to better things at this point. Or even focus more on Ionia lore. Ionia actually feels like a high fantasy setting. Demacia feels like someones Twitter feed.

@@MagicButterfly549 Because they are anti-mage for no reason. This entire mage vs normie conflict has no genesis. The Mageseeker game basically told us that - some Mageseekers appear out of nowhere, suddenly became so powerful that even the nobility became intimidated by them, and started oppressing mages for lolz. This entire conflict is just drama for the sake of the plot, because it makes no sense for it to even be a thing.
