Measuring time is a complicated thing. Computers, banks, and stock markets in Denmark all use UTC, the international standard: but according to the law, they shouldn't. UPDATE, March 2023: The law has now been changed! www.ft.dk/samling/20222/lovfo...

@@renakunisaki Cesium-133 the isotope that makes up almost 100% of natural Cesium is not radioactive at all it's stable. Traces of other Cesium isotopes that are radioactive do exist in rocks that contain heavier radioactive isotopes that break down into it but they are too unstable to exist in more than trace quantities from natural decay processes. The only place you will find radioactive isotopes of Cesium in any significant quantity is in the byproducts of a recent (within a few centuries which is very recent in geological timescales) fission reaction. Since there the natural abundance of fissile isotopes like U-235 is now so low on Earth that it is no longer possible for a critical mass to form naturally and there hasn't been enough for that in a very long time the only way to get any significant quantity now is from an artificially enriched fissile material so basically nuclear reactors or atomic bombs etc.

Being Danish means, we have a right to make fun of whatever. Your presentation brings to mind a prescient popular song in America from 1959, it is titled SummerTIME Blues and is sung by the late Eddie Cochran. The final verse goes: I'm gonna take two weeks gonna have a fine vacation Gonna take my problem to the United Nation Well, I called my congressman and he said, quote: "I'd like to help you son but you're too young to vote." Sometimes I wonder what I'm a-gonna do But there ain't no cure for the SummerTIME blues So, gentlemen don't hold your breath waiting on Parlaiment, you'll just have to keep twisting your old watch around till it ain't worth a skilling. Ask yourselves, what would Tyco Brahe do? he lived on Bornholm.

Elsewhere on that line there is a stone or concrete marker indicating the intersection with a round number latitude. It's because the moon doesn't orbit the earth like you think, rather the earth and the moon orbit a center point like they were a dual planet. Because one is bigger than the other the center point is closer to the bigger object. In fact the center point is below the earth's surface but not all the way to the core. That's the "wobble".

You could check with local museums if they'd be interested in scanning them in for the benefit of the public, in case they don't have a copy already. That stuff might be interesting to a few historians and it'd be neat to have that knowledge preserved for everyone. That and with letting them scan them in you still get to keep them for yourself while potentially helping others.

TL;DR for those of you without time to watch the video - Back in 1678, the King of Denmark made a deal with an ancient Fey spirit to bring the country prosperity, in return for time off their lifespan. The king utilized a loophole in the deal to take .07 seconds off the life of every person in Denmark, fulfilling the requirements of the deal, but thereby cursing all of it's inhabitants to live in the past for the remainder of all time.

We all live in the past. When you look in the mirror you are not seeing you of right now but you from .00000001 seconds in the past. Even worse, even when an image forms on your retina it takes .0001 seconds for your rods and cones to generate an electrical differential which takes a further .01 seconds to travel down the optic nerve to your brain. Your brain has to take the raw signals and parse it for colours, shapes, depth, brightness, etc, a further .01 seconds. And your consciousness appears to operate on .05 second time slices like an old film projector so what you see could take a further .05 seconds to register on your consciousness. So, at best, we all live about .07 seconds in the past. Worse still if you look at distant objects like Alpha Centauri.

We have a "Dag Hammarkjöld Weg" in the (rather small) town of 20k inhabitants i live in Germany. So it's not so uncommon to remember him.

@@rarbiart not sure who you're responding to, no-one said anything about Hammarskjöld but there does seem to be Dag Hammerskjöld [road] everywhere, especially in sweden I'm right now next to one in Uppsala, a google search shows there's also one in stockholm, and as the video showed, there's also one in sourthern sweden not the strangest guy to name lots of roads after

@magnus hansen It does exist but it is a few milliseconds out of sync with the rest of the world, which is why it is impossible to get there unless we have a time machine.
