Same here, the ADC content creation scene is just not comparable to Jungle, Mid, and Top. Not sure if there’s anything specific to the role that makes this the case, but very interested to see what BBC puts out!

@@luderikcouture3410 I hope there will be a general access of every role fundamentals. Even as an ADC, knowing what the JG or your Mid laner does exactly and where they focus their attention to helps a ton. Helps you to understand your role better, what to expect from roams, ganks, where they might be, good objectives to take, etc etc. Everyone benefits from a good overview from the game. For example: after mla in jg i rather takes objectives, or invade enemy jg than dive the enemy under tower on mid. After playing top i rather gank top on good waves, and dive the enemy than take objectives with my top. After playing support/ adc i rather give kills on bot, help with the minions without taking them, and giving them resets, or recognize good support and play with them way more. Every single lane i played helped playing the rest significantly.

Walking home from work listening to the new Podcast and I have a huge smile on my face, because I have wanted a BBC Top lane academy/community to be a part of so much. I just hit Master tier Mid in NA for the first time since Season 3-4 at 27 years old. And a lot of it is attributed to this podcast that helped me have this big mindset shift and helped with the poor relationship I had with the game. Something that really resonated with me and helped keep me focus instead of tilting was always ''What is my role in this comp and in this current game state?'' I'm not following the exact process per say as some days if I feel good I'll play more games, but the process I tailored for myself since finding this podcast was to simply stop playing after 2 losses in a row and keep myself accountable to respect that. Tilt queuing was something I struggled with where I'd cope myself into thinking I was losing because of my role then swapped role and kept playing only to lose more. I think overall I mainly gained a lot more respect for the complexity of the game and that's thanks to you. Fix them stage 4 issues!

There is another significant problem you might run into with high-winrate setups. A lot of the time, certain item builds and rune pages have those high winrates in very specific circumstances, like playing versus an all-AD comp, facing a specific, very easy matchup, or snowballing heavily (Mejai's comes to mind). It seems more useful to me to default to the most common setup (I personally like to use D2+ stats on lolalytics as a reference, because that's the highest elo range with enough of a sample size to make stats valid) while being aware of proven alternatives in those specific situations.

@CoachCurtis @nathanmott i just want to take a moment to thank both of you for your content when i got into the details and really started taking the learning seriously i was able to hit gold before the split end. half way through last season i stopped top laning and went back to the jungle and even joined nathan's jungling academy for a short time before i acknowledged that i'm just more comfortable and feel like i have more control over the game if i'm in top lane, however that wasn't enough to climb i still struggled with my identity in league and irl even ended up going down to iron but once i commited to sticking with my favorite champ (sett) and started taking the learning seriously and really got into the details that's when i saw improvement so i just want to thank you guys for your time, effort, and teachings of league.

I'm a mid main but i've had some advice from top mains, that as top you want to be a problem that it requires more than 1 champion to solve, which allows a 4v3 at an objective or you take the map

Also a side comment on top lane, I absolutely love to win games through my top laner's side pressure. I get to really think objectives and skirmishes from a different angle. Instead of only considering the immediate area of contention, whenever we have a pushing side with our top's TP up, the fight feels so favored. We don't really need to force anything, since the ball is already in their court. If they go back they basically concede the objective, but if they hard commit, I've just straight up won games pinging for TP on their base and all in on retreating enemies. I just find toplaners to be the true X factor in so many of my games. So cool to see you two delve Into the role and help us learn about it whether we play the role or not.

I died man. Nathan sounds like he's lecturing Curtis, and as soon as he says "A measly 25 LP" Curtis just purses his lips and leans in like "I didn't realize it was that low, has to be photoshop." ...But then Nathan switches to his account and he's got 6 games in Emerald 1 hahaha. I respect both the joke and the announcement. This is a great change for you guys. Hopefully you get some help for the other roles.

Just know that before you do any coaching on toplane the mindset is entirely different from top vs other lanes, the top mindset for most people is I have to 1v9 carry, all these other 4 are completely useless because that is needed to actually win through toplane, generally another mindset will not result in wins, and toplaners are very competitive. other roles generally have a really bad understanding of what toplaners want if you play it yourself you know a lot more, but this also changes how you would have to consider what people are thinking about for example, a toplaner is not gonna care about some random roam that has a slight chance to give a pentakill we just wanna kill towers.

I’m a bit worried, it seems like you’re spreading too thin. What will happen to your current programs? Huge risk to take if they are your bread winners. I’ve always admired that you were dedicated to coaching one role, it made you stand out from the rest of the high ELO coaches that teach every role. I do trust in your quality assurance, I’ve seen your guides before, but I’ve also seen them not stand the test of time do to patch/season changes. I expect it to be better than the average KZbin channel, and maybe building a community will be worth it in itself. Personally, I would feel better if you had an ADC expert under your wing and teach him the BBC mantra than you learning ADC and teaching me. I’ll l let you guys cook, best of luck & thanks for the podcast!!
