Thanks. I'm pretty happy with it but it has taken a little to get adjusted to since I pinch and used to controllers with longer throws on the sticks.

Awesome... never would've thought you'd go for a smaller form factor but as long as it works that's all that matters. And it's Radiomaster too which is great! Love my TX16.

Generally I wouldn't, but something in me just thought it might be cool .. Plus it was cheaper and had all the basics I needed. Took a bit of adjusting but it's working for me

@@StacemanFPV had to have my jaw dislocated, top back, and bottom all cut out and sowed up! I still cant eat solid food, still washing my mouth all the time, i dont look like a hamster anymore, bruisings gone down, but man, i did it, so thats one fear overcome! Nice to see a friendly face, its just starting to get light again earlier so i can turn that friggin money eating heater off soon! Great flying as always, luv ya man!🫡❤️

Been using my pocket for about a year now and its been great! Has enough buttons for all my needs so far and elrs is such a good system to work with! I plan to get some rubber stick ends and cnc gimbles but its good for now!

@@StacemanFPV I couldn't do with the creaking and bending at full deflection with the RM pocket stock gimbals. Maybe I had a bad unit. Even the jumper bumble bee plastic gimbals are nicer IMO. But the cnc nanos are great! I have spacers to make my stick ends longer

Sounds to me like you are pretty hard on your gear and probably need that. I've heard no creaking and I can't imagine pushing hard enough on the stick to have it bend

I don't break things, so I would say no. It's not the stick ends bending, that would be hardcore... Its the flexibility of the plastic housing not making a definite stop point at full stick deflection, allowing the housing to flex/bend giving a mushy stick input feeling at the very edges. But I am hitting full stick deflections often at race chapters. I also think some people are more sensitive than others, like if for instance someone had neuropathy I doubt those sensations matter. (not that you do)

I think you're gonna dig that Pocket, Stacey. I've been using one almost daily for over a year and I still LOVE it. I'm a thumber with fairly small hands so the Pocket is perfect for me. I will admit that in March I'm planning to buy the GX12 controller from RadioMaster. I want more TX power than the 250mw that my Pocket provides and I want to try out the crossband Gemini tx/rx. The GX12 puts out 1W of 900mhz and 2.4Ghz in true diversity Gemini mode on each band. Like you, I'm not really a gear chaser but I've been having rx problems lately, especially when I go long range, which for me is anything over about a mile. I was originally going to just put a Nomad module on my Pocket and call it good but then I got to thinking about upgrading to the AG01 nano gimbals for the Pocket too. So I've decided to buy the GX12 and also keep the Pocket and upgrade it as time and money allows if I end up not liking the GX12. It's nice to have options...🤔🙂 thanks for producing content that I find interesting, informative, and entertaining. Happy flying, amigo. 🫡 🍻

So yeah if you are planning on upgrading gimbals and getting a new radio, might as well just get the new radio with the good gimbals already installed. These gimbals are honestly pretty good. Only drawback would be that they are plastic but unless you are exceptionally rough on gear they should be more than enough.

On Thingaverse I found some gimble spacers that drop them down like 2mm. feel like I got a little more throw without longer sticks.

Bro. Still pick up a Boxer Crush when they're back in stock. The fullsize AG01 gimbals that come with it are soooo smooth. You'll never to back. Trust me bro! 😉

@StacemanFPV So I had the TX16S then I purchased the AG01 gimbals for it which cost me £130 here in the UK. As soon as the Boxer Crush came out for £190, which comes with the AG01 gimbals, I sold my AG01 gimbals and purchased the crush because essentially I was getting the Boxer for £60. The Boxer Crush is such a good deal anywhere in the world with those gimbals. 🤘 Sure you can get the "mini AG01" gimbals for that but you'll only pay a little more for the Boxer Crush and have the full-size ones. 😉

As I see it, I have 3 options: 1. Little more = $190 + $65 (cost I already have for Pocket) = $255. 2. Cost of Mini AG01 = $60 + $65 (cost I already have for Pocket) = $125. 3. Cost of not changing = $65 (cost I already have for Pocket) = $65. Clearly, the winner is option #3. ;-) In all seriousness, though, I am not a gear chaser. I don't need the latest and greatest, and in all honesty, those gimbals are going to make zero, or near zero, difference to me. When the hall effect sensor gimbals first came out, I upgraded my Taranis to them. I did so, not because of the hype, but because I had worn out the other gimbals, and they needed a bit of servicing anyways so it made sense. The feel was better, but it was negligible.. The big win for those was the sensor, so it helped a lot with removing stick drift. That didn't help my flying as much as it helped to not have to calibrate to stop getting throttle warnings when I turned on the radio. The gimbals on this radio are as good as those in terms of feel, so I have no need to change them, and it's unlikely I will spend the cost of the radio to upgrade them. I'm sure those gimbals are great, and the radio is great, but I have more important things to spend my money on. I only upgraded radios because it was time. The hobby was moving on from crossfire, so it will not be long before it's hard to find what I need. I was using a 10 year old radio that still worked fine, and I was planning on continuing to use it with an ELRS module if EdgeTX didn't require the SD card reader. I looked at replacing the board in the taranis to fix the SD card reader, but the Pocket was the same price, so it only made sense to get it. Thanks for the suggestion though. I appreciate it, but for now, I am quite content with my choice.

Help,. Hi Stace, the taller stickends = more resolution travel or vice versa?

In theory longer sticks should have more resolution, but because they are longer you have more leverage which makes it easier to push so it's harder to move smaller amounts
