KZbin is an American online video sharing and social media platform headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. Accessible worldwide,[6] it was launched on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. It is owned by Google and is the second most visited website, after Google Search. KZbin has more than 2.5 billion monthly users who collectively watch more than one billion hours of videos each day. As of May 2019, videos were being uploaded at a rate of more than 500 hours of content per minute.
In October 2006, KZbin was bought by Google for $1.65 billion Google's ownership of KZbin expanded the site's business model, expanding from generating revenue from advertisements alone to offering paid content such as movies and exclusive content produced by KZbin. It also offers KZbin Premium, a paid subscription option for watching content without ads. KZbin also approved creators to participate in Google's AdSense program, which seeks to generate more revenue for both parties. KZbin reported revenue of $29.2 billion in 2022.In 2021, KZbin's annual advertising revenue increased to $28.8 billion, an increase in revenue of 9 billion from the previous year.
Since its purchase by Google, KZbin has expanded beyond the core website into mobile apps, network television, and the ability to link with other platforms. Video categories on KZbin include music videos, video clips, news, short films, feature films, songs, documentaries, movie trailers, teasers, live streams, vlogs, and more. Most content is generated by individuals, including collaborations between KZbinrs and corporate sponsors. Established media corporations such as Disney, Paramount, NBCUniversal, and Warner Bros. Discovery have also created and expanded their corporate KZbin channels to advertise to a greater audience.
KZbin has had unprecedented social impact, influencing popular culture, internet trends, and creating multimillionaire celebrities. Despite its growth and success, it has been widely criticized for allegedly facilitating the spread of misinformation and the sharing of copyrighted content, routinely violating its users' privacy, enabling censorship, and endangering child safety and wellbeing, and for its guidelines and how they are implemented.

I'd suggest just unlisting them and creating a playlist for them all called Outdated Information or something so we can still access old ones because It's nice to see someone actually admit their mistakes. I think also video's should be kept and not deleted.

Its far to common for people, especially in my own country of America, to respect people who double down on being wrong, while simultaneously looking at people who change their minds as untrustworthy or weak. I'm glad we have someone who doesn't give into the pressure and sticks to the facts, regardless of personal benefit. That requires strength and is deserving of the utmost respect.

This is another thing i thought of... how do we even know all the "haters" were actually people with "legit beef"? There are certainly not shortage of trolls online, but these days we have ai so good that we could have innumerable "people" online, commenting, which are actually just chat bots programmed with a directive to push any number of different agendas which are meant to influence the public in certain directions. AND it's like you and StonesSticks said... martial arts/weapons training groups often tend to attract somewhat socially unstable people. I mean let's think about the reasons that people want to learn those sorts of things outside of a career like military etc... some people like the exercise and confidence etc, but other people ... well, we all remember middle school, right? There were bullies and there were targets; both of which may have grown up to become control freaks and have trauma that sees them holding a grudge against certain others or ALL people... and the majority of well adjusted, properly raised, "normie" humanity actually have a physical instinctive empathy that makes it difficult for them to physically hurt others, or at the very least they do not like witnessing other people be hurt. These days i realize we've all become somewhat desensitized to this by way of modern tech+media, but there is still a fairly large gap between watching violence done by one human to another, fake or otherwise, versus actually committing that violence yourself against someone right in front of you; who you have to physically touch. You all know the stories about the world wars... often in Europe the officers had to threaten their men to actually shoot at the enemy, much less aim to kill. (Until they changed the pre-combat training techniques.) Playing a sport is one thing, playing a sport where the object of the sport is to learn how to do serious harm to the other team is something else entirely, and i can certainly see there being people into martial arts who are not particularly good at being social, and i can also see the other martial arts people who just don't want to be misunderstood/misrepresented since they probably already get that a lot. _Example: i can imagine that if you are into something that mainstream humanity doesn't usually react positively to, like owning and shooting many firearms fairly often, or how playing D&D (or MTG, or whatever) was looked down on 20~ years ago... then i can understand not wanting the attention from normies. Even if it's only a few vocal 'Normies who actually take that step into poking fun with things like "Oooh, look at those nerds playing ninja/samurai! Don't they know we have guns now? They aren't even from Japan so they can't be real samurai ever anyways! Wow what wanna-be / dweebs, hahahaha, they are SO _____!" And so on. Even though it's obviously coming from ignorant, jealous, trolling kids and probably lamer-types who don't have much other than their opinions on the internet making them special at that time in their life (universities have been doing a lot of activist creation for the last 30 years, and those are exactly the SJW/forum-warrior/troll-type), are stuck in their ways and/or are trying to "look cool, by degrading someone else(goons from somethingawful=perfect example). Or they're just that 1/10 or 1/100 person you find in any group who will be unhappy even if all the rest are. So, knowing it comes from a source that's not worth paying attention to, not worth responding to, a waste of time to argue with online, bad to engage on their terms/battlefield, (since that is what they want; a response, and if you give it to them then they are in control of you)... even with all being known, those sort of comments still hurt. Especially when it's done with the anonymity of the internet, and/or with text comments where there is no tone of voice, no image of the person making the comments, no info on how old they are... you can see where i am going with this i hope.

i hate the phrase that history, science, and medicine change. people say that so they can change what is official without admitting they were wrong or that they can even be wrong. technically it doesn't change, our understanding changes, and that means that when you change your stance on something you are admitting a previous mistake. if others had that stance then it is an admission that they were right. if you made a big stink about them being wrong before you switched to their opinion then you actively tried to hide the truth even if you did not realize it at the time. this is why it is important to be respectful in these fields.

@@jamoecw Science is our understanding and medicine is our application. History is our written knowledge of what came before. The laws of Nature don't change, and the past is set. Human bodies don't evolve that quickly. But those terms are terms for our understanding, and they are constantly evolving. History, I would hope, changes less frequently than the other two.

It is a vendetta if they are spending the time and effort to do this, which is what a child or immature person would do, not an adult and especially what a sensei should ever do. So while it is not possible to flag those videos as a viewer, they might get implicated, prompting youtube staff to reevaluate these "deleted" videos and you could receive strikes based on those - but you won't be able to do anything about /respond to it, because they are deleted/you don't have any point of access anymore. just in case Thanks for all your hard work!

I recall during my time in service in The Army at a place called Grafenwohr Germany. We were transitioning from the M60A1 rise passive to the M60A3TTS. One day we were in the motor pool inventorying BII and other items when the tank commander told me he wanted me to study the dash 10 and get up on the new engine starting procedures. Well, the only difference generally speaking between the Rise Passive model and the TTS was the upgraded gunnery systems, the automotive systems were basically the same. Hop in, master battery, fuel pumps, start that big ole diesel. In respect to his rank, and the man, I told him that there was no new start up procedure, he proceeded to tell me he would check the dash 10 and prove me wrong. A few minutes later he says "Hey S.....?" "I answered back, "Yes Sgt.?" "You were right, I owe you an apology." With that simple statement, my respect for the man went way up, there was a man that was trying his best to follow the precepts of the Leadership manual. This is why I respect You Metatron, you are always so humble, and willing to admit your shortcomings, yet you stand firm when you are in the right. Drive on brother, drive on!

Text books often have new editions that have included further information or amendments so the very same principle should be considered acceptable when it comes to videos. It's something that can often help scholars not become stagnant and also to mitigate quite a lot of unnecessary anger. We all can't have all the answers but at the same time, we can't be terrified of presenting what we know or learned. This is why with the large majority of articles and journals I read, the author will present limitations in their study and also recommend "Further study is required in (Insert whatever here)" In a world where strengths are seen as acceptable while our shortfalls and limitations are not tolerated because we don't want to be seen as vulnerable, we get too many people wanting to fight and double down on the worst possible things. We would rather present ourselves as smart rather than wise.

For an unscripted video, this was presented very well. You've had it on your mind for some time. Also have gotten better over the years. You really need to appreciate how much you've grown and advanced since you began.

I am so glad to have found your videos, because not many are this transparent or care that much to speak the truth. I also find it admirable that you correct yourself and in the first place accept when you have something wrong. My respect 👏👏👏👏

Thank you Metatron for your professionalism in your work! You are a wonderful man who is great at educating & entertaining! I have always enjoyed your videos I have seen. I just wanted you to know that I very much appreciate you sharing your knowledge! I enjoy learning about many topics, science & history in particular. You do a wonderful job and I’m glad you have thick skin to deal with the hate I’m sure you get more than your fair share of. It’s seems these days anyone giving facts is attacked for it. But I imagine that more people are like myself in wanting to know the truth rather than the people who just want to hear their own ideas supported, no matter how incorrect they are. Thanks again & my best wishes to you and your family.

I greatly respect the amount of transparency you give to your viewers about the workings of your channel. No one is perfect but admitting mistakes is a brave thing to do. Also, no one owns a style of fighting. Every move has been done before. Let the haters hate, it just shows the ignorance of their minds and the weakness of our souls. That they hate is on them. If you let it harm you, that is on you. Offense isn't given, it is taken and doing so is a weakness in the character of the person who takes the offense. That is not to say that you shouldn't defend yourself against personal attacks but defending yourself and taking offense at someone else's actions are very different. The only offense that comes to mind that it isn't weak to address is a person who corrects another for lacking in respect. Pointing out when people are being disrespectful is sometimes necessary. Many people do this without realizing it. As long as you do this respectfully, treating others as you would be treated, it is fully justifiable.

I am new to your channel. I watched a few videos. I like some of them, especially the ones regarding the Roman period of history. I understand that your interest is Religions, Armor, Weapons, fighting techniques, history, and Japanese culture. I apologize if I have missed some aspects of your interest. In addition, You voice an opinion about almost everything other vloggers published on the topics before you, including making historic films, dating historic artifacts, the color of Egyptians, and other more or less controversial aspects of Ancient history. This is why I am not surprised that many people dislike your videos. But not me.....This is entertaining for me. This is the reason I watch and support the channel.

Everything you said is well-reasoned, with humility and a commitment to truth. I look forward to your response to the "Black Egypt" counter-claims. I was quite surprised I didn't know about the Queen you mentioned in your Cleopatra video, as I have made an effort at reading the history of Kush and it's successor states (Nubia, Nobatia, Makuria, Darfur, Alodia, etc.) but I never knew of her.

The fact that even the head of the Sugino branch did not only not support Metatron but also asked him to stop spreading completely neutral and objective information about their organization tells you all you need to know. Metatron is, of course, very diplomatic and (rightly) points out that there are wonderful KSR practitioners that are not like this, but this kind of behavior is enabled from the top.
