I would be down for an expansion that adds more stuff to Crandor, and having a mechanic like in the quest Meeting History (came out in 08, so it's not in osrs) that lets you travel to the past would be amazing! I would love to see Crandor at its peak, and it would be awesome to talk with some ghosts that died there, and have them give their backstory.

That spiky thing is more so the glow/shine effect I believe for the sword. Though it could also be an earlier version of Silverlight. That quest was reworked a few times and there's a glowing pose animation once you get the sword and also kill the demon Deltrith. Though could be wrong, but might be of similar principle. Might also be proof that the quest was indeed worked by an intern, because they didn't separate the glow effect from the actual model of the sword.

I thought it would be like an NPC floating sword. It reminds me of the Killerwatt model before it's in fight mode. Maybe it was a Sword merged with the Killerwatt model, for the sake of being a moving NPC.

Dragonslayer 3: Grandmaster Quest where you go back in time and stop elvarg and those who released it from burning down crandor. Reward: new high level area like priff but based around trading and dragons. Could contain a vast array of shop types for rhe player to buy supplies from.

Wow, a Dragon Slayer prequel that uses the same mechanic of LMS where you have an instanced player with set stats would be soooo cool for boss fights. Imagine a quest boss where leveling and gear doesn’t benefit you at all and it’s 100% skill based.

Maybe in your next 10 hours of NMZ you can read it carefully enough to understand that I’m talking about a quest having a common difficulty level that can’t be avoided with max gear or stats. When a new intermediate or master quest with a boss comes out it’s just not fun to roll in with 90+ stats and high level gear to absolutely ROLL the boss.

The devs did say that Dragon Slayer 2 is not the end of the Dragonkin Questline. I would love to see a quest in the game bring back in time to bring items back from previous ages, but at the least, it'd be cool to go back to Crandor in its hayday

I think it would make sense that Crandor in-game is just the tip of the island, and the water had risen so high that most of it is submerged. This might explain why ruins of 2nd or 3rd age cities like Senntisten seemingly doesn't exist. The only problem with that theory being that Crandor is said to have been destroyed by Elvarg in the fifth age. That brings up the question regarding whether or not the events that occurred on Crandor actually occurred in the fifth age. Elvarg was supposedly a failure designed by the Dragonkin, but was left in place to guard a lab; being woken up by a warrior. The events take place in the fifth age, but Elvarg had been on the island much longer, so could he have destroyed the real city ages before, and then destroyed the rest of descendants during the fifth age?

When I first did dragon slayer, I remember wondering what Crandor used to look like. After I killed the dragon, I died to the skeletons lol ☠️ Lost all my rune armor. Not as bad as the time I lost a Santa hat, full bands, prims, expensive gloves, sooooo much money. I was looking at a quest guide and did to passive damage in the under ground pass quest... my cousin made it there right as my stuff was disappearing. I don't think he could go back into that part of the quest though. The big room in the center

I'm thinking the reason they cut back on the potential crandor stuff was due to the pacing of the quest. You spent all that time getting the 3 pieces of the map via different means, you set sail, and barely manage to get to the island itself. Having all that additional lore and nonsense kind of takes away from your objective, to slay the dragon. It would be cool though it experience it post-quest.

I know most of you dont play rs3 (or hell quest in general) but they do later introduce a ruined city destroyed by the dragonkin called kethsi that you can explore and i imagine its a lot like what cranador might have been like if they went this route. Also in birthright of the dwarves you actually do go to an empty keldagrim and it is indeed very creepy and liminal. For how basic it is its actually one of my favourite areas in the game atmosphere-wise

i'd also wager the sword in the pot of blood would be to symbolize a beta version of a vampyre slayer, as it would be coated in deadmans blood - which is known in lore points to significantly weaken vampyres upon ingestion (forced or otherwise) :o though it doesn't make sense to add that to a quest that doesn't necessarily add to or run off of the myreque so it probably got shelved for that alone.
