As a Knick fan I’ll always have an appreciation for Porzingis and I wish him well. I even rooted for him on draft night simply because of the toxic Knick fans booing him. We are not all bad, and we are not all delusional. One day the Knicks will taste victory and it will be one of THE most glorious championships in all of sports, honestly the only championship that will compare is (Cowboys 6th, Mets 3rd, Bulls 7th (first Chip post Jordan) , Jets 2nd, NY Giants 5th, Lions 1st, Yankees 28th, Nets 1st , and Magic 1st)

Then Knicks Team President Steve Mills had an off-season plan to court both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Porzingis wasn’t going to be part of the equation so I believe him. As for Rich Kleiman, I remember when Durant was at his Hamptons home listening to offers for his talents. He didn’t even take a phone call from the Knicks before signing with the Warriors. Yet Mills chased after him again like a clown. Just cause Mills had no shot (as we all know) doesn’t mean he didn’t try because that WAS his 1 and 1A plan. When he failed, that’s when Perry panicked, loaded up the Knicks with short-term contracts called “assets.’ One of which Julius Randle. End of story.

The trade had to be done. He wanted to play when they were essentially out of playoff contention. They didn't want to risk reinjuring his knee. Also, this was the season were KD and Kyrie became free agents and their was a chance that the knicks can land them. The needed to clear the cap space which is why he was traded to get rid of Tim Hardaway and Courtney Lee's contract.

They already had a trade in place because the front offce found out before he asked to be traded do the research that's why they traded him along with the of the court things that where going in in his life it was the best for both parties to part ways.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like he's trying his best to not come out and say directly that his representation at time of the injury/trade request was not the best, or maybe didn't have his best interests at heart.

Yeah, you guys received dennis smith jr., which your management thought he was going to be a future allstar lol, and two throwaway players in We Matthews and DeAndre Jordan, as well as 2 picks, which the 1st one was Quentin Grimes, who's not bad and possibly our 2024 1st round pick assuming we don't get a pick lower than 11, so you guys still have a chance to win that trade bc we turned Dennis Smith Jr. into Kyrie Irving

You can blame the NY front office like many Knicks fans are in the comments. And you know I’d be almost willing to accept that but bruh they gave KP away in Dallas. Didn’t even try to boost the value or demand equal value. Two teams sent him packing early on in the process. Knicks offered him an extension and I’m assuming his camp said no so why wouldn’t the front office have a trade package on standby. They’d be dumb if they didn’t.

As a Knick fan, I can acknowledge that the team was not good. But I want players that want to be a part of taking the team to the next level. Felt like Kristaps didn't want to be there and the Knicks were fine granting his wish. My thought was that the Knicks lost with him and could just as easily lose without him. Good riddance.
