I feel that with me, work is the external stressor and catalyst of my anxiety. I'm not worried or triggered by anything work-related but work is the reason why my cortisol and adrenaline levels are elevated. I feel much worse at work than I do later in the evenings. I feel derealised/depersonalised at work and for multiple hours after I get home. I also had a tension headache today at work.
@openchangeau4 ай бұрын
All we have to do is practice when symptoms arise, whenever they arise. If work is generally good, then there is nothing else to do but practice and also treat any analysis of all this as just another anxious thought.

It's important to acknowledge how our difficult and traumatic life events put us into this state - but equally important to put them behind us as we start to recovery. The Anxiety Cure Series might help you with that kzbin.info/aero/PLRWr4VF71u_8jsOLbTX5n1P647oEl0z0b&si=Gxy2ms7lBbN2rmmn

I went through the exact same thing. You've likely had high anxiety for some time, so it's only normal for things to feel weird when your symptoms decrease or dissipate. Keep going, it sounds like you're doing everything right! Well done :)

I’m starting to get a lot better. Question for you Sam, can undiagnosed ADHD cause OCD with Anxiety? My biggest issue now, is not so much the physical symptoms, but the constant relentless obsession with Anxiety. Always looking in, questioning, trying to solve etc… Pure O. This is my 4th cycle in my 36 years on this planet. I’d like to make it my last.
@openchangeau3 ай бұрын
That's great news! It sounds like a classic anxiety thought to me - "what if undiagnosed ADHD is the real cause of my anxiety?" Treat this exactly like any other anxiety thoughts and practice with your obsessive thinking, regardless of the content of the thoughts, the same way.
@pakrat873 ай бұрын
@@openchangeau thanks Sam. How do I practice with my obsessive thinking? That’s what I don’t understand. Do I just accept that I’m going to obsess for some time and just try go about my business as best as possible?

What if the trigger is of a physical nature so doesn’t trigger anxiety until that physical discomfort occurs such as pain. How do we handle that when the trigger is physical vs. mental?

I suffer from severe Panicattacks for more than 14 years now. Just the last night I woke up at around half past midnight with a massive Panic Attack and I tried to relax and let it all happen, like you explained in your wonderful Videos. But after 3 hours I was so exhausted, that I couldn’t relax a tiny bit anymore. And the Panic kicked in and in and in😰…fortunately I fell asleep after another hour. But what went wrong..🤷🏻♀️

Keep practicing as it's most likely a new skill which takes time to build. Great work on allowing for the time that you could. If you have listened to the live floating practice session it might help kzbin.infoHxw4R5Ty9_U?si=hFgju3J5FlNB2fbr

@@openchangeau Thank you so much! Yesterday I had another panic attack (maybe because of the heatwave we have here in Germany) and I practiced with your live coaching video for about 30 minutes. It was a completely different experience. I did not try to relax, just letting loose and I hope, I slowly begin to understand what recovery means. I cannot thank you enough, your coaching is so precious!

Excellent explanation. The trouble for chronic sufferers (like myself…speaking as a 64 year old male) is that there may well be some physical pathology underlying these horrible & frankly terrifying symptoms that also make us more susceptible to stresses and triggers. I’m thinking of a genuine cardiac issue (mitral prolapse, conduction “blocks” etc), or undiagnosed neoendocrine tumours.

The anxious mind will trick us any way it can to convince us our situation is different - I am older, younger, heavier, skinnier, live alone, have a family etc etc. Health anxieties are difficult, but we need to treat them the same way - this might help kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYrIZ4JupZKSircsi=uMOFjGwZVynXO33g

is fear and anxiety just a emotion? So if you leave it alone it will eventually go away! No matter what you feel like in your mind and body? Is it possible for fear and anxiety to be stuck in a nerve? I know that sounds like a dumb question. I know there only emotions and they will go away if you stop focusing on them

I suffer from adrenal fatigue and anxiety. Is it ok for me to take creatine and workout lightly or this supplement will mess with my system and make me more tired?

I can't give you specific advice but exercise is an important part of recover. I also use creatine with no negative impact.

@@openchangeau I know you can't give me any specific advice. It's ok. But to sum up - creatine doesn't overstimulate the body in a negative way (theoretically)?
@aaronaukema12843 ай бұрын
@@pawe9391I have done a good deal of reading on creatine for years now. Its is considered very safe, and is essential for numerous body functions. If you are concerned about impact, start small (say 1-2g) and work up. Doing that will help you find the dose that you can handle. In general, though, you should be able to handle doses of 5-10g per day.
