I was just in Savannah one month ago. Did you take the Underground Railroad tour? If you did, you would have learned that the brick building with the 3 arch doorways held enslaved Africans and the building across the cobblestone street was an auction house. Going there made me appreciate my history and made be grateful for all my present day opportunities. Savannah is a beautiful city. I would love to live there.

I’m a somewhat local, I’m not from exactly Savannah but suburbs and surrounding towns whatever. Please stay in some of the tourist regulated or downtown areas. It is MUCH safer there. In other areas it is VERY sketchy and shootings, killings, etc are not uncommon. That’s the outside sort of. Downtown is usually safe.

new orleans has 2 or 3 streets? new orleans is more than bourbon st. and it is a bigger city.

Nonetheless Savannah seems to always be compared to New Orleans. I never been to N.O. so I don't know from experience.

@@realrecognizewill9350 savannah and new orleans have a similar vibe at times. to me it's a sinister undercurrent, old south vibe, if you have awareness of things. aside from that, they both have good food. they are port cities with similar history. they both have a lot of intact preserved history - architecture wise. but no is still the bigger, and more interesting, city. imo. i do like savannah though.

New Orleans is a bigger city but Savanna has a larger historic district by far. That may have been what she meant. All of downtown Savannah is historic.
