Friedrich Nietzche was opposed to God. The myth of Zarathustra posits that man can be his own god and save himself. How could he then comment on the nature of the New Testament? So imagine you are a human in the future needing to understand the subtleties of satire and humor and irony of the English language, as well as historic discussions with symbolism and slang in that language particularly in America, so as to accurately interpret the constitutional narratives of ancient USA....but yet you don't really know these elements of the English language exist (as your own future language is entirely different and expresses irony and such in some other fashion) and have no familiarity with the context of this language and the purpose of its literature. You could indeed study English and "read" the Mayflower compact. But you would really not know what you were reading. Especially if you belonged to a religion that had historically been developed to eradicate the constitutional principles of America and to replace them with some foreign globalist dogma. That is the dilemma faced by Christian seminary students studying Hebrew. Hebrew never actually died. And neither did the constitution of Israel. To know how to read it or how to live under its laws, particularly as it has been adapted through time, one would have to study within the Jewish community instead.

If anyone can study a text and the original language and culture so that they understand it accurately, they should be able to communicate that and be understood by others. Although I have studied Hebrew and learned some insights directly from the text, I learn much more from those who have studied a particular passage or subject and have communicated to others. I don’t actually need to know Hebrew myself. In that we all need G-d’s help to understand what he is saying to us, I think our openness and humility is most important.

The Tanakh says when the messiah comes everyone both Jew and non Jew will recognise him meaning this messiah has not arrived and will not arrive until the day when everyone will recognise him and there will be world peace. Teachings about fallen angels in the Book of Revelation contradict the Tanakh meaning it did not come from God. In Tanakh angels always obey God and angels never rebel against God and angels never fight with each other in heaven or fight with each other on the Earth and angels never have intimate relationships with women and Satan was never a rebellious fallen angel meaning all such teachings are not from God. . God did not command virginity but commanded marriage for Adam and Eve and their descendants. Revelation 14:3 No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. "Rabbi Meir would teach: From what verse is it derived that a non-jew who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest? It is derived from that which is stated: “You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances, which if a man does he shall live by them” (Leviticus 18:5). It doesn't say "Which if Priests, Levites, and Israelites do they shall live by them", but rather: “A man,” which indicates all humans in general. You have therefore learned a source for our tradition that a non-jew who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest- And it was taught there in the context of this baraita [teaching], that this is with regards to a non-jew who engages in the study of their seven groupings of commandments". [Jewish commentary on the Talmud: It is a mitzva (positive commandment) for a non-jew to study the halakhot [laws] that pertain to the seven groupings of Noahide commandments, and when he does so he is highly regarded to the level of even a High Priest serving in the inner chambers of the Temple]. Joshua & David speak of the Book of Jasher and it isn't in the "Bible." The death of Moses is mentioned in a book many believe was written by him. We are both against the false image of the Messiah made by Rome aka the trinity/lawless version but the real Yeshua that was who he said he was and told us to keep the commandments is returning with YHWH very soon. We are approaching the 7th millennial day and you need to understand what Yeshua was really saying in contrast to the mainstream Christian version. The first person to be killed was an innocent shepherd. He was killed by a stone. Then after the flood, you have Abraham who went into Egypt during a famine and ended up plaguing pharaoh and leaving with sheep. After that, you have Joseph the son of Jacob another innocent shepherd going into Egypt to save Israel during a famine. Several generations later, you have Moses who left Egypt to become a shepherd and he led the sheep through the desert to the mountain of YHWH before venturing back into Egypt and also plague pharaoh and leave with the real sheep aka Israel. Then, you have David another innocent shepherd who killed a lion and a bear (Revelation 13:2) and eventually left a mark/deadly wound in the forehead of giant with a stone. He would later become King of Israel and he was from Bethlehem. Many bad kings later, Israel is still lost and being dispersed and divided. Then, a person who was the descendent of David is born in a place where sheep are kept. He did his Father's will perfectly and just like Moses, he came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The one that is referred to as a lamb in Revelation says that he will bring us to fountains of living water aka YHWH his Father, the true fountain of living water as mentioned in Jeremiah. This is why although he is given rulership as mentioned in prophecy and a kingdom that will not pass away, he is still referred to as a lamb. David said the Most High is his shepherd. The beloved son is going to bring us to His Father when we are priests with him during the 1000 year reign. The final and ultimate shepherd however is The Most High. Yeshua referrs to himself as a shepherd as well, but he is given his authority by the Most High. I don't want you or anyone to be against Yeshua as he did his Father's will and the world altered his image and message so much that people are attacking this false image and leading people away from his true image and message. I want you to be a part of the 2 sticks prophecy Ezekiel that states "The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. A] The mashiach of hebrew scripture will be a PATERNAL (not maternal) descendant of David (Isaiah 11 verse 1&10, Jeremiah 33 verse 15-18, Ezekiel 34 verses 23&24, Ezekiel 37 verse 24&25, Amos 9 verses 11&12, Hoseah 3 verse 5, 2Samuel 7 verse 16, Psalms 89 verses 4&5, Psalm 89 verses 34-38, Psalms 18 verse 51, Jeremiah 33 verses 20-26). *Genealogy in the Bible is only passed down from father to son, (Numbers 1:1-18).* Not having a biological father from the direct family tree (isaiah 11:1) of Jesse and David disqualifies a person from any claim of being the mashiach of hebrew scripture. B] The mashiach of hebrew scriptures brings the Jewish people from all over the world-wide exiles back to the land of israel (isaiah 11 verses 11&12, ezekiel 37 verses 24&25, deuteronomy 30 verse 3, jeremiah 30 verse 3, jeremiah 32 verse 37, ezekiel 11 verse 17, ezekiel 36 verse 24, Ezekiel 20 verses 41&42). In the time of jesus the jews were in the land, he did not help them conquer their enemies as mashiach is supposed to (numbers 24 verses 17-19) and were exiled from israel shortly after, the total opposite of what the prophets revealed the true mashiach will do. C] The mashiach of hebrew scriptures ushers in a utopian world of peace, where there will no longer be any wars (Zechariah 9 verse 10 [ps. Note, verse 10 is a direct continuation of verse 9 which christians claim was already fulfilled...yet he didn't fulfill the verse that it goes right into, verse 10?...], Isaiah 2 verses 1-4, Micha 4 verses 1-4, Hoseah 2 verse 20, Isaiah 60 verse 18). jesus did not bring world peace, the opposite is true, how much unnecessary loss came through the crusades and the likes all in the name of jesus. D] The mashiach of hebrew scripture brings the entire jewish nation back to full observance of the Torah (Ezekiel 37 verse 24, all the same time periods of Ezekiel 11 verses 19&20, ezekiel 36 verses 26&27, Deut 30 verses 8&10, Jeremiah 31 verse 32). jesus in the NT disobeys the temple authorities in violation of Deut 17 verses 10-13, he and his men pluck wheat stalks on the shabbat day, a violation of shabbat (numbers 15 verses 32-36), he claims that divorce isn't allowed and that it is forbidden to marry after divorce, while the torah says otherwise, thus adding and/or subtracting from the Torah's laws (Deut 4:2, deut 13:1), he gives prophecies that didn't come true, such as "not one stone of this temple will be left ontop of another" and yet the western outer wall stands tall and deep into the temple mount till today [and yes theres archeological proof that it is infact the western outer wall of the temple], he said more than once "none of this generation shall taste death before you see the full kingdom come" did not happen, giving a failed prophecy according to the torah makes him a false prophet and viable to the D penalty (Deut 18 verses 20-22), and jesus def did not cause for Jewish people to embrace the torah, instead he caused a major rift and didn't observe the laws himself. E] Mashiach of Hebrew scripture emerges at a time where there is universal knowledge of God (Isaiah 11 verse 9, which is a parallel to chavakuk 2 verse 14, Zechariah 8 verses 20-23, zechariah 14 verse 9 & verse 16, Isaiah 66 verse 23, isaiah 45 verse 23, ezekiel 38 verse 23, zephanya 3:9). The amount of statues there are of jesus and mary, oh boy, how the negligence of one pompous man caused for a third of the worlds population into all diff forms of polytheism and idolatry... F] Mashiach of hebrew scripture reigns leader at a time when the 3rd ever lasting temple is standing forever (Ezekiel 37 verses 24-28 which is the same exact end of days temple of Isaiah 2, of zechariah 14 verses 20&21, of Malachi 3 verse 4, of Isaiah 56 verse 7, of Isaiah 60 verse 7, of Isaiah 66 verse 20, Ezekiel 20 verse 40) where the mashiach himself prepares flour and animal offerings at its inaguration (Ezekiel 45 verse 17, the same exact prince/נשיא of Ezekiel 37 verse 25). The way God made sure no jew can ever make a claim of illegitimacy against a Jewish king was by commanding a prophet to anoint that king with the sacred anointing oil (exodus 30 verses 25-30) as He commanded Samuel to do to Saul (1samuel 10 verse 1), and to David (1samuel 16 verse 13), and as Tzadok the High priest and nathan the prophet did to King Solomon (1kings 1 verse 34). The mashiach is called "mashiach" (literally "anointed") because Elijah the prophet is supposed to anoint him with the sacred anointing oil as King over the Jewish people. God, who will split the ocean in order to convince when He wishes to convince, has NO PROBLEM making the jewish people believe someone is or isnt their next king, He did so for Saul, David, Solomon, the priests, all to remove any claim of illegitimacy by any jew. The Creator DID NOT DO SUCH for the christian man-diety, something so simple, and no. The jews did not "reject" jesus, the Creator did. That's the truth.

I am a Jewish man, nearly 70 years old, who was raised in Conservative Judaism with a fair amount of exposure to modern Orthodox Judaism. I lived in Israel for several years, too, and served in the IDF. I was "drawn" to a path that led me (not while I was in Israel, but several years after I returned to the US), over a period of a couple years, to believe that Jesus/Yeshua is the Messiah. I was involved in Christianity, first in churches and then under the guise of Messianic Judaism, for nearly 15 years and had been complimented on my knowledge of Scripture and my ability to discuss it (I had read the entirety of both Testaments multiple times). Eventually I realized, on my own and with no help or influence from others, that the God of the New Testament is not the God of the Jewish Scriptures. Recently, say within the past several months, I stumbled upon Rabbi Singer's channel. I found this video to be extremely powerful, especially at the end when Rabbi Singer touches upon Christian antisemitism. This confirms in my mind what I have come to believe over the past couple years: There are individual Christians who are antisemitic and others that are not. There are individual churches/congregations that are antisemitic and others that are not. There are denominations that are antisemitic and others that are not. HOWEVER (CAPS FOR EMPHASIS), THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH AS A WHOLE IS INDEED ANTISEMITIC and this is because of what Rabbi Singer pointed out near the end of this video when he touches upon how the Church views the Jews vis a vis Satan.

We need Jewish elders to point these discrepencies within the Church concerning anti-semitism! The African slave trade was an abomination sanctioned by the Catholic Church. The lukewarm or non-response by the Catholic Church concerning The Holocaust was digusting and a deep dark stain! As we see in the Tenahk, the Children of Isreal were rebellious many times and done horrible things in the sight of The Almighty. So much so, The Almighty expelled them from their land! There were Jews who were Prophets who stood against the ire of those who rebeled against God, but it made not difference as the Children of Isreal continued to not listen and close their ears.....

@@charlesbadrock The rabbi is concerned that the church wrongly and deliberately mistranslated the Jewish Hebrew Tanakh scripture. If it had not done so then the rabbi would not be concerned. The word in Tankah Jewish scripture is not fulfilled by Paul changing the word of God. Paul taught the church how to change the word of God. . Example 1 of Muslims and Jews and Noahides helping Christians is by explaining that the Hebrew word seed in Scripture is like the English word sheep to show how Paul changed the word of God when Paul claimed in Galatians 3:16 that the Hebrew word seed in scripture (Torah Genesis 17:7 and Genesis 22:18) means one person and therefore must be about Jesus because if it was about more than one person Scripture would have used the word seeds (however in Hebrew the word seeds does not exist meaning “seeds” never appears in Hebrew scripture). The reasoning of Paul is the same as someone claiming that the English word sheep means one sheep because if it was about more than one sheep then the word used would be sheeps. (The word sheeps does not exist in English like the word seeds does not exist in Hebrew). God uses Paul to test who will follow the word of God and who will follow Paul in the test described in 1 Kings 13:14 - 13:24 teaching that the word of God will not change and do not believe anyone who claims the word of God has changed. . Example 2 of Muslims and Jews and Noahides helping Christians is by explaining how Paul changed the word of God when Paul claimed in 1 Corinthians 9:9 - 10 that the commandment in Torah Deuteronomy 25:4 “do not muzzle an ox” is really about humans and not animals. God uses Paul to test who will follow the word of God and who will follow Paul in the test described in 1 Kings 13:14 - 13:24 teaching that the word of God will not change and do not believe anyone who claims the word of God has changed. . Example 3 of Muslims and Jews and Noahides helping Christians is by explaining how Paul confirms that Jesus was not resurrected in 1 Corinthians 15:35 and 1 Corinthians 15:44 where Paul claims that the resurrected come in a spiritual body however three days after the crucifixion Jesus showed that his body was a physical body and not a spiritual body in Gospel of John 20:17 where Jesus confirms he has not yet died “I have not yet ascended to the Father (God)” meaning the life of Jesus was saved with sleep on the cross in the same way God saved others who were sleeping in Gospel of Mark 5:39, Gospel of Matthew 9:24, Gospel of Luke 8:52 and Gospel of Luke 8:54 - 8:55. God uses Paul to test who will follow the word of God and who will follow Paul in the test described in 1 Kings 13:14 - 13:24 teaching that the word of God will not change and do not believe anyone who claims the word of God has changed. . Example 4 of Muslims and Jews and Noahides helping Christians is by explaining how Paul changed the word of God when Paul claimed the sacrifice of Jesus took away the sins of the world and therefore Jesus removed animal sacrifices. God tells us that when the Temple that is described in Ezekiel chapters 40 to 47 is constructed it will include the animal sacrificial system as it did in the Solomon Temple (the first temple) and the Herod Temple (the second temple) and that in the Ezekiel temple (the third temple) the messiah will bring sacrifices for himself and for the people. God uses Paul to test who will follow the word of God and who will follow Paul in the test described in 1 Kings 13:14 - 13:24 teaching that the word of God will not change and do not believe anyone who claims the word of God has changed. . Example 5 of Muslims and Jews and Noahides helping Christians is by explaining how Paul changed the word of God when Paul claimed the anointed messiah is both a King and a High priest in Hebrews 4:14. An anointed messiah king descends biologically from David however an anointed messiah High priest descends biologically from Aaron meaning the anointed messiah king cannot descend from both David and Aaron meaning an anointed messiah king cannot do the duties of an anointed messiah High priest. God uses Paul to test who will follow the word of God and who will follow Paul in the test described in 1 Kings 13:14 - 13:24 teaching that the word of God will not change and do not believe anyone who claims the word of God has changed.

Not only is there discrepancy from what Paul states in Corinthians ( from the OT )…. But also from what Jesus himself preached. An example of that would be in Romans 1 chapter 9; where he portrays God more like the God of the OT; rather than the more merciful and encompassing Father that Jesus emulated!….no doubt that Paul was a fervent believer in JC and was certainly hyper enthusiastic ( as anyone whose blindness was instantly removed by God would be), but I highly doubt that the HS would have caused him to contradict “ scripture” or countermand what Jesus preached!…. He was just another flawed follower who had good intentions ( perhaps), but got ahead of himself! BTW, this is why JC himself never wrote anything down, or commissioned anyone else to do so… as he knew that it would lend itself to being corrupted!

I found one uncleared text or verse also out of its context, that has no support as it says: Acts 15:13-18 and Amos 9:11-15 Who made that up? James, Simon, Paul, the Reformers or the Translators? Because clearly it refers to Israel not to the Gentiles. It says in Amos 9:15 I will plant them (Israelites) on their land, and they (Israelites) shall NEVER again be uprooted out of the land that I HAVE GIVEN THEM, SAYS THE LORD THEIR GOD. The verse 14 in Acts 15 implies that God has taken the Gentiles to take from them a people for his Name. THAT IS 👆🏽REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY. And they affirmed it saying that the statement is what the prophets agreed to. 🤔 So, the prophets, maybe Amos, read Simon's or Jacob's or Paul's or the Reformers' statement and agreeded with his words as it is written? Which Prophet? Weird that they don't specify which Prophet. That is not what it says in Amos. 9:16 as many theologians or commentaries said. Shady! As the NT is. I am more and more astonished. It is true that when you read and search yourself or on your own to validate what you read in the NT with the Tanakh you find inconsistent and unsupported texts, mainly out of context or disconnected.

(1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) For among the first things I handed on to you was what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, yes, that he was raised up on the third day according to the Scriptures; Here are the scriptures Paul was referring to. (Daniel 9:27) “And he will keep the covenant in force for the many for one week; and at the half of the week, he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease. For sacrifice and gift offering to cease means that all sins have been paid for. Jesus' death at the middle if the 70th week made this possible. Jesus was not permitted to remain dead. God resurrected him back to life. (Psalms 16:10) For you will not leave me in the Grave. You will not allow your loyal one to see the pit. (Acts 2:31) 'David' foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he forsaken in the Grave nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 God resurrected this Jesus, and of this we are all witnesses. Sadly, those from whom God has veiled the TRUTH will not see and understand these prophecies.. cf Isaiah 6:9,10.

The Rabbi is correct that the Isaiah prophecy is not about a young girl who had never had relations with a man miraculously giving birth to a baby. But again, if you read Matthew's gospel carefully you will notice that he's not saying that. Did Matthew believe that Jesus was born of a virgin? Indeed he did. But that's not why he uses Isaiah 7:14. He uses that verse for the part about "God with us" - Emmanuel. Change the word which in Greek is parthenos and translated "virgin" to "young woman" and read the verse again and you'll see the main point is still there. Our modern translations all obscure this fact. Read all the verses in the NT that use the word parthenos and you'll see that the primary meaning of this word was not virgin, but an unmarried woman. It was not until after the time of Jesus that parthenos started to mean virgin. Matthew has in mind the entire Isaiah prophecy which runs on for a couple of chapters: when Jesus begins his ministry (Matthew 3:15-16) he quotes Isaiah 9. When he ends his gospel, he quotes Jesus as saying “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” - Matthew 28:20. Who is with us? God is with us.
@germanboy14
@germanboy14 Жыл бұрын
He said Virgin and applied the verse to Jesus as fulfillment of the virgin birth. Jesus is also not named Emanuel. She would call him Emanuel, not the people will csll him like the author falsely claimed. And the verse refers to a child of a young woman which is already pregnant. Before the child grows up and knows the difference between good and evil, the enemies of Ahaz will be defeated. Its a sign to King Ahaz and the Isrselites St that time. And just because Emanuel means God is with us, it doesn't mean he is God. In fact, many of those names exists.

Jonah has no messianic prophesies whatsoever. Just because he stayed in the belly of the fish for 3 days doesn't really prove much. Hosea 6 I suppose you could make the claim, but it really requires a forced interpretation to yield that reading. The subject of the second verse is "us" not "him". The general understanding is that it is referring to how the third temple will come after the destruction of the first two.

@@johnschmidt792 I don't frown on established academia, I simply do as they do and consider their explanations critically. In this case for example I simply ask the following question: if the resurrection was said to happen after a different time interval, say 7 days instead of 3, and everything else remained the same, would the book of Jonah be cited by anyone trying to deny his messianic status? I honestly cannot see this happening. Had Jesus not been presented as a descendant of king David, it absolutely would have been brought up as the Davidic line prophesies are quite explicit. But in contrast, it feels to me like citing the book of Jonah as a prophetic entry seems like a stretch. It's one thing for Jesus to draw a parallel to it in the narrative itself, as that has precedent, but that's not the same as prophesy in my book.

Any Gentile who accepts the Seven Noahide Commandments, and is careful to observe them, is truly a pious individual of the nations of the world, and merits an eternal portion in the future World to Come. (And with this merit, the person will be included in the Resurrection of the Dead). This applies only if he accepts them and does them because the Holy One, blessed be He, commanded them in the Torah, and made it known through Moses our teacher, that the Children of Noah were previously commanded to fulfill them.

The 1st canonical Greek gospel [according to Matathiah, whoever he was…] often quotes something aligned loosely with the Greek Septuaginta family of PLURIFORM texts (loosely call’d the LXX) a set of translations which is based on a non-Masoretic family of Hebrew Scriptures from c. 200 BCE fragments of which were found among the Dead Sea scrolls - but the same gospel also quotes ‘prophecy’ from other non-Masoretic aligned Hebrew & Aramaic texts which are more aligned with the Aramaic Targums or the Hebrew underlay used by later Greek translations of Symmachus, Aquila & Theodotion - many readings of which were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls - we are dealing here with PLURIFORM Hebrew texts of which R. Singer seems blissfully ignorant (deliberately lying when he thinks the Masoretic family is the sole version of the Hebrew Scriptures ?) The Masoretic text used by Singer is one of many contradictory hand-copies of Torah & Prophets - one of many - e.g the scroll of the book of Yeshia’qu (Isaiah) in the Dead Sea scrolls exist not in only the masoretic ‘Great Isaiah Scroll’ text family (1QIs-a) but there exists another separate recension sitting in the jar next to the ‘masoretic’ version which is known as [1QIs-b] which is different by 18 consonants per 100 on average with many columns of text differing by as many as 29 consonants per 100… so the late Masoretic (c. 960 CE) Hebrew text family hand-copies have a lot of competition !! If Shaoul of Tarsus (‘Paul’) quotes a weird verse in some of his epistles he most likely is not just ‘making stuff up’ - it’s a case of quotation of PLURIFORM Hebrew source texts - he quotes the Hebrew & Greek version that best suits his own Weltanschauung… For example (‘that he died & was buried according to the scriptures’ = ‘he shall be numbered with the transgressors-and will be buried with the rich in his death’ & ‘he was raised again according to the scriptures’ = ‘after two days he will have destroyed us-but on the third day he shall raise us up’) - And these two verses were proudly announced by this Singer person that ‘these verses do not exist in the Hebrew Bible’ - which means Singer needs to re-read the Hebrew Prophets (and not only on the masoretic family but also carefully compare the texts with the Aramaic Targums and the Hebrew underlays to the LXX) of e.g. Deutero-Isaiah chapter 53:12 and Hosea 6:2 comparing the same PLURIFORM versions - Singer speaks as if the Hebrew Scriptures were monolithic in the 1st century CE (hint: they are NOT -the Dead Sea scrolls PROVE they are PLURIFORM families of handwritten texts which often are at variance with the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Scriptures used by modern Rabinnic Jews & Protestants to-day) and seems to be quite [deliberately ?] blissfully unaware of the painstaking work of Origen c. 209-220CE in his 20,000 page HEXAPLA as well as in more modern times the tireless efforts of the great Hebrew scholar Immanuel Tov who heads up the Dead Sea Scrolls research projects as well as a large cadre of the world’s top textual experts in the scrolls e.g. Dr Menachem Cohen & many, many others… Singer totally ignores the highly complex issue of PLURIFORM texts of the Hebrew Scriptures in the 1st centuries BCE & CE - and grossly misrepresents modern biblical scholarship of the past 60 years…but then again, he is a ‘Rebbe’ after all and not a scholar who has spent much time pondering the fact that the Masoretic text family from Leningrad (c. 960 CE) is a very late text which had undergone massive alterations over time-if the Dead Sea scroll fragments (rediscovered c. 1946, but some of which were brought to Origen c. 217 CE when ‘scrolls in jars written in Hebrew, Greek & Hebrew were found by Bedouin in rock caves near Jericho…’) being at least 1,100 years older are anything at all to go by …

@@Jebusisblatantidolatry - actually what we DO have among the Dead Sea scroll fragments is the unpointed HEBREW Consonantal text that UNDERLIES the LXX Septuagint ‘non-masoretic text-family’ which is in itself PLURIFORM-dated to about 200 BCE - much much much earlier than the masoretic text family of which the Russian Codex Leningradensis of c. 960 CE is a part - you simply cannot avoid the fact that the masoretic text family is about 15% different from the other FAR OLDER text families (which includes the Hebrew Samaritan Pentateuch and the Hebrew underlays to the Septuagint & the Targums - all of which are more than 1000 years older than the later pointed text used by modern Rabinnic Jews & Protestants to-day); To argue otherwise bespeaks an ignorance of the actual textual mss evidence when carefully compared consonant for consonant the way Immanuel Tov has done since the 1980s - these consonantal differences go way beyond simple v. plenum consonantal readings (e.g. Kaph-Beth-Daled CBD v. Kaph-Beth-VAV-Daled CBVD where VAV is us’d for ‘long O’) for the word ‘CAVOD’ = ‘glory’) which are not counted in the stats as a textual difference - just a later spelling idiosyncrasy … For whatever reason, for example, the Masoretic text seems to retain 57 verses spread out all over 13 chapters of the book of the prophet Jeremiah which is completely absent & missing from the earlier text versions including the earlier Hebrew underlay for the Septuaginta Greek LXX text families) - and of course there are TWO (count’em TWO) versions of the scroll of the book of the prophet Yeshia’qu (Isaiah) lying side by side in Cave 1 in Qumran (1Q-Isaiah A and 1Q-Isaiah B) which differ from one another in their consonantal arrangement on their columns by more than 22% counting letter for letter but omitting simple v. plenum spellings… You did know all this, didn’t you ?

@thomaspalmieri6038

Ephesians 5:14 “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light”, is an amalgam of Isaiah 26:19 “Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust”, and Isaiah 60:1-2 “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of YHWH is risen upon thee”. So here Christ is identified with YHWH Himself. That is the Christian Religion, whether you accept it or not. Singer doesn't understand the Christian Religion, and thinks that it teaches 2 Gods, or 3 Gods, but he doesn't know what he is talking about. Paul the so called Neoplatonist (by Singer, that is) also makes reference to rabbinic legends in his writings, as at 1 Corinthians 10:4, as the USCCB Bible explains: "rabbinic legend amplified this [i.e. the Rock of Exodus] into a spring that followed the Israelites throughout their migration. Paul uses this legend as a literary type: he makes the rock itself accompany the Israelites, and he gives it a spiritual sense. The rock was the Christ: in the Old Testament, Yahweh is the Rock of his people (cf. Dt 32, Moses’ song to Yahweh the Rock). Paul now applies this image to the Christ, the source of the living water, the true Rock that accompanied Israel, guiding their experiences in the desert." Is Singer a competent scholar who knows these things, or just some guy who is shooting his mouth off about what he doesn't really know?

If that is true then not teaching Hebrew in the schools in the U.S. is understandable since other languages are practical and still spoken and how would you advance the Hebrew language before the school board and who would you get to teach it. Vowel points were added to the Hebrew language later so it could be read intelligently. Didn't Jesus speak Aramaic as the native language of Israel?

6:30 re. Origen - When you really look into the physical evidence of ancient manuscripts it's clear that almost all of what we think we know about pre-Christian and early Christian texts comes to us from manuscripts written sometimes from hundreds of years later, by people who were laying the foundations for Christian theology and dogma. They had every reason in the world to alter the original texts to make them align better with the theology they were trying to propagate. We really know very little, sometimes nothing, of what the original ancient texts say and have to rely entirely on what people like Origen claim they say.
