Hrm. The AI video really takes away from the documentary style you have built up. I dont think I'll be watching these anymore. Thanks for your previous works tho. They used to be one of my favorite channels on YT. It seems this is a common thing, and there are less and less good quality channels these days.

Sorry, time to check out from the Dark series. One went to AI voice, that was an instant nope. Now this one uses that AI nightmare fuel style of 'art'. Thanks for all the great content up until AI.

The Yarkovsky and YORP effects would incessantly push the thing off course. Meanwhile, getting significant energy to the surface faces another enemy in the laws of physics, the inverse square law.

Solar sails were a great idea, -smallish capsule, moderate payload, free propulsion- and we've known how to sail since before color TV. Imagine a fleet of sails running orbits between the Earth and Moon. Or Mars. Or to the Outer Planets. What would be the long term value of going to the moon by going just to high Earth orbit? Rendezvous with a sail for the long haul. To the moon every month. To Mars every quarter. To the outer planets with different projects every yeat or two. Or sit on Earth thinking up ever not quite working alternatives decade after decade. Solar sails would be the long haul space trucks that get cheaper with every use. Designed on a standard blueprint, they could be made on assembly lines. Massive savings on design, materials, assembly, fuel for the booster rockets to shuttle between Earth and the sails. Extremely uncomplicated workhorses that just go around and around in their orbit. That like every early spacecraft could be plotted with slide rules, protractors, and a drafting desk. But the cost !?! Space sails were one of the most shortsighted budget cut casualties since the early 70'. Especially in light of the ridiculous projects to get government military/industrial golden goose funding.

Interesting if they could have got it to the final stage. Then saving money for Russia 🇷🇺 would have been a good thing. For to shorten longer nights 🌙.
