Why Did Super Smash Bros. Abandon This Idea?

Bowser's Fire Shot was an awesome attack locked behind Smash 4 Custom Moves. Look me in the eye and tell me it shouldn't be in Smash Ultimate.

I think the fireball should've been Bowser's new neutral special in Ultimate. Bowser has shot more fireballs than flame breath in the Mario games, and they already had the data for the move from Smash 4. It feels like Sakurai is incredibly reluctant to changing legacy characters' movesets, regardless if it would make sense or not. Like Ganondorf was a rush job in Melee, so you would think that with the next game, they would have the opportunity to give him a proper moeset. But no, Ganondorf has stayed mostly the same despite it making no sense for him to be a clone of Captain Falcon.

They should just rework Ganondorf and toss the old moveset to Black Shadow.

​@@nunya8459Seriously! Literally everyone says this because it's such an obvious fix to de-cloning Ganondorf. So then why hasn't it been done in the nearly two decades between Melee and Ultimate? The representation of the Zelda series is fairly poor in general. Three Links, Two Zeldas, and a joke of a moveset for Ganondorf. Smh. Where's Impa? Where's Tingle? Where's literally any other fan favorite character that'd bring a unique moveset to Smash?

@@ridgenyan-botxv367 Ganondorf has been decloned already. It's just that people pretend that's not the case because it's not the change they want. Half of his moveset is different from Falcon's; enough to consider him a semi clone.

I would love custom moves to return the fact they got removed sucks but makes sense with such a huge roster, using dragon rush in smash 4 on charizard my main is something i very much miss.

I feel combining both ideas where a tap is fireball and hold is fire breath would be pretty interesting. The problem is that fireball goes with the past while the fire breath follows more with the present

They should give mid and light weight characters stuff like this cuz all the heavy characters have all of the best neutral specials. Two mid weights (Hero and Robin) need mana for their N-specials and meanwhile DK can kill you with a single N-special. Samus/ Dark Samus and Doctor Mario have a ridiculous N-special but that's it🤔

Why not combine the 2? Pressing B once lets you shoot a big fireball that has 9 seconds to cool down. Holding the B button lets Bowser do his normal flame breath

a better idea would be to have fire breath happen if you hold b and fire shot happen if you tap b. fire breath is bowsers only safe attack and his neutral would be way worse without it.

Or, potentially, you could have your cake and eat it too. Tap the button to get the fireBALL, and hold it to get the fireBREATH. Maybe reduce the damage of the firebreath to make it slightly more balanced. And boom, new double-layered neutral B that opens up a lot more options for the Koopa King.

Bowsers already the best super heavy, a projectile fire ball would be alot cooler, but they might have a hard time balancing that

Because bowser projectile doesn’t fit his playstyle. I think bowser is really defined in smash as an in your face heavy and a grappler. I don’t think flame breath is nearsily the best but also ultimate character all needing a projectile to be viable seems like unhealthy design

I think it’d be cool if they replaced Charizard’s neutral special with rock smash and buff rock smash. I would honestly like it if Pokemon Trainer’s team got more moves from their actual move pools than moves that match their typings.

I don't like bowser new moves. I liked him more as the king of koopas with DS spin and FS head smash and the SB bite grab in the older games but that's just me I get why they did it but to me he feels more human not dragon turtle yah know.

Ye Bayonetta & Solid Snake definitely appeal to 8 year olds lol. It’s an all ages game, nincompoop . Most of it is filled with nostalgia stuff mostly older gamers would recognize.
