I would fix the flooding obviously. That's a Walbro WYK (2 stroke) type of carburettor, the one you have is an emissions type of carburettor meaning that it doesn't have a high speed mixture adjustment screw on it like the non emissions type of WYK carburettor has. I had trouble with adjusting the WYL type back in August when I replaced the Honda GX35 engine on my dads Honda UMK435 Brush cutter with a new Chinese clone GX35 engine,I couldn't get it to idle right after it ran at wide open throttle then the throttle was closed,I was told that the high speed mixture adjustment screw needed adjusting to lean it out so it wouldn't flood but this particular carburettor didn't have one, it only had a low speed mixture adjustment screw & it was futile adjusting that one to tune the engine. The engine wasn't starting after it sat overnight as well so the fix was to fit the original Honda or Walbro WYL type of carburettor which fixed the problem ! Fitting the OEM

If it was my blower I’d run it and when it annoys me that’s just as good because then I can learn more about working on 2 strokes. I had a trimmer which is quite the unreliable machine but it has taught me a lot about small engine work. I am still very new to it and as I wanna be an arborist I wanna be able to fix my own equipment instead of spending a lot of money to have someone else do so.

The walbro wyk carb is adjusted via the center post of the main jet. If you need help with it let me know. Walbro sold these as once set for the barometric pressure range of a certain geographic area, they would never need adjustment ever again This looks to be one of the first wyk carb applications. Yes, I would keep that blower, and show it off as an example of how the EPA tried to destroy the two cycle engine used in America.
