Interestingly, it was Mace Windu's fighting style that turned his sabre colour purple and it also made him uniquely suited to face a Sith Lord like Sidious! And it always amazes me, no matter how many times I see it, jus hos FAST Obi-Wan and Anakin went in their Duel! And it was ALL Ewan and Hayden, barring two seconds although, granted, it was impossible to do it otherwise, i.e. with the actors and not agents the way did in the film! Though, I'd still love to see how much it cost for all the lightsabres they bent in training!

Always been curious about this what if. Do you think if Obi wan and dooku fought 1 on 1 in ROTS with only their lightsabers and no force techniques , do you think Obi wan has a chance? I ask because ultimately it was a force push that took him out of the fight on the invisible hand

@@kylelancianese5527 and also palpatine dictating the fight he clearly wanted to remove Obi wan from the fight. He to used the force. He wanted to see how well Anakin does fighting an experienced duelist

@kylelancianese5527 I actually hold the controversial view that Dooku would've won, it just would've taken awhile and a lot of work. Kenobi's Soresu technique is designed to deal with output, not dissection, which is the specialty of Dooku's Makashi technique. On board the Invisible Hand, Dooku never had the opportunity to focus on Kenobi because Anakin was constantly breathing down his neck.

@@Jensaarai1 In the ROTS novel, Dooku went blade to blade with Kenobi alone a couple of times in the duel. Kenobi was able to “effortlessly” deflect all of Dooku’s strikes and weave patterns with his blade so quickly that Dooku didn’t dare attack. Given that Dark Side Anakin was stated to turn Dooku’s mastery of the saber and the Force into a joke, and Kenobi defeated an even stronger version, I’d say he’s got an excellent chance against Dooku in a 1v1. Even with the Force, weaker versions of Kenobi have blocked Dooku’s TK and lightning before. The ROTS Junior novel confirms that Dooku only defeated Kenobi on the IH by attacking him while he was focused on sneaking up behind Dooku and not defending himself. In the film, Palpatine even warns Dooku that Kenobi is coming. These circumstances wouldn’t happen in a 1v1.

@@Willemsrobinio-j7x he also wasn’t nearly as skilled as maul in saber to saber combat. Dooku is older than both and he would beat everyone except yoda and palatine

Awesome video! I know there's not much to the Vader vs Obi Wan Deathstar duel but I'm curious to see a video about that and regarding the Kylo vs Rey duel, I think Kylo should've mopped the forest with Rey. Focused power vs raw uncontained strength should win every time

See I always thought the emperor lost on purpose to mace to gain Anakin and close him in his grip by taking the gamble that Anakin would save him and betray the Jedi for his lover.

I still think Palpatine threw that fight on purpose. If he could have an intense toe-to-toe match with Yoda he could easily beat Mace. He was throwing it to look vulnerable and easily sway Anakin to his side

Was good up to the point where Ray and Ben came into the video. These three films in my opinion will never be canon no matter what anyone says. They kill off Han, and Luke no way. They all deserved better and deserved to be all together in the trilogy. Just my opinion and thoughts.
