Why did this woman sign a DNR?

I have a DNR and a living will for a reason. I made these choices for myself. I'm mentally fit and of sound mind. Please,please. Respect my final wishes and don't try to play God and snatch away my dignity in my final moments. Even if I die tonight, it's not the end. I'll gladly return to the shelter of my Mothers (Goddess) cloak. It's warm and dark there like a womb. I'll rest and reveiw until it's time for me to be reborn. Love and Light and Peace to those I leave behind.

Long story short.. The dying lady (liz) used to work there at the hospital dr. Yang is an intern in Dr. Burke(the black dude) didnt tell christina that she wasnt getting the surgery and in the begining of the episode christina(dr. Yang) initially stole liz's chart so that she could have a surgery and the whole episode they made dr. Yang spend time with liz which is why she wanted to save her in the end
