Det här är den bästa videon ni har gjort! Alla ville veta varför ni är där :) Helt sjuk story att ni alla var svenskar och träffades i samma skola, vad är oddsen för det liksom?
@DaebakOfficial8 жыл бұрын

So Teo likes Korean movies and stuff haha then I have a good recommendation for you. About 6 months ago, a guy named Matthew Carrick who majored in history made an amazing series about Korea - Japan war which happened in 1592. It's on KZbin and the name of the series is "Korea vs Japan War 1592", I think Teo will really like it. It's a really remarkable documentary series. It has 9 episodes and which video is like 15 minutes long, they are each historical documents one leading into the next to show you the entire history what was happening then, I cannot tell you how stunning it was. He only collected historical facts and edited out the incorrect, fictional parts so it was like watching real life Game of Thrones. I strongly recommend it to both of you. Have fun. :)

If you don't mind my asking but if you're no longer students how are you able to stay in Korea? Aren't the visas notoriously hard to get, apart from English teachers?
@DaebakOfficial8 жыл бұрын
Not all visas are hard to get :) You can apply for working holiday by yourself from your home country, or if you have had a visa for work that expires you can apply for a "job seeking visa", or if you have an agency they can sponsor you with a visa (in that field). There are other ways too but I think these three are the most common ones to have if you're not a student nor a teacher (or married)^^ I think it's a lot easier to find a visa to STAY in Korea than to get one to GET here though /Ida

@DaebakOfficial8 жыл бұрын
/Ida

Daniëlle Jansen Yeah the only reason we could come here is because the Swedish Government give us financial support for studying, it's really expensive to attend school here :/ /Ida
@XxdaantjehxX8 жыл бұрын
Daebak wow thats really convenient! In the Netherlands we also used to get the financial support, but unfortunately not anymore... Anyways I was wondering if it is possible for foreigners (who don't speak Korean) get a part time job in Korea. Just like working in a store or coffee shop?
@DaebakOfficial8 жыл бұрын
Daniëlle Jansen possible, yes I guess but highly unlikely :/ and you would have to have a visa that allows for you to have a part time job which ,for all I know, is only a student visa or a working holiday visa (or marriage visa)... To my knowledge WH is the only visa that is actually ment for part time working and even then I don't know where you would go where neither staff nor customers will be Korean... /Ida

How did you finance all this? I wanted to attend a language Program, too, but it costs around 8000€ which is really expensive. :/ Still I feel like modeling in Korea would be awesome and I really want to try it
@DaebakOfficial7 жыл бұрын
i paid for the university fee myself but the others took student loans i think. also in sweden you get financial support monthly if you're a student so we could use that for rent and food etc (plus our saved up money of course) remember that you're not allowed to work as a model if you're a student though! just a heads up :) /Ida
@tanjap2297 жыл бұрын
Daebak how did you find out that Sweden gives you financial support for the language program since it isn‘t a degree program? I‘m from Austria and currently looking into my options for staying in Korea for a while. I‘m 26 and I want to do a Korean language program for a minimum of two semesters and I‘m also looking into the working holiday option but I think I can‘t study at a university while doing that. Soo many options that are confusing me and I don‘t know how to look for financial support for a language program overseas haha. I‘m supposed to be more of an adult but oh well -> peter pan syndrome. Anyways I love your channel!
@DaebakOfficial7 жыл бұрын
taansch because.. well.. you get financial support for education in Sweden 😅 you get 5 years of financial support and you can use them however you want I guess? Like it was never a question if we'd get the money or not, it's just the way it is I guess haha there was never any doubt ^^ it's the exact same way you get money for normal school, you just log on to the homepage, fill out what school you'll be attending and how many hours and it tells you when you'll get your money and how much (and then you have to send in your scores after it finishes to prove you passed) but clearly this is only in Sweden heh /Ida

So how old were you exactly when you came to korea. Because i want to study in korea too but i don't know how to do it. I would be 16 in korea if i would start after my school finished.
@DaebakOfficial7 жыл бұрын
do you mean you'd be 16 in korean age? I was 19 turning 20 (western age) when I came there and Teo is one year older than me, so we had both finished school back in sweden (and I did 1 year in university as well, but I dropped out) before going there. I would suggest you finish school before going, otherwise you might have a hard time getting into school back home if you decide to go back and study etc. we didn't attend university, we only did language school and that's not worth anything in swedish education. my advice is: finish school and then study a language course in korea, if you like it and learn the language you can attend university in korea and study whatever you want, or if you hate it you can go back home and attend university there instead :) /Ida

Daebak Did you have to take a lot of money with you just in case and was it easy to get a student visa there or? And could you maybe make a video about visa and stuff and when you are allowed to have a job and all that. I'm just confused with the working visa the student visa and the holiday thing visa ... Hahaha sorry
@DaebakOfficial7 жыл бұрын
Fardausa Abdi you have to get the visa before going, and it requires you to have a certain amount of money on the bank or it'll get rejected :) Carson and I already shot a video about different visa types and it'll be up in a couple of weeks :) /Ida

@DaebakOfficial8 жыл бұрын
M. Eduarda dos S. R. Hahaha what part is fucked up? ^^ /Ida
@MEdSanRi8 жыл бұрын
not really "fuuuucked up", but more like "not as easy as it may seems to others/troublesome"... I'm sorry, I lack vocabulary.. but I mean, you are in a country that initially was strange to you (if you are already used to it, good, but it wasn't like that from the very beginning. probably.), far away from your family, friends (even though you went with one friend and/or thankfully you soon got to know make some others friends) and the lifestyle you are used to, I don't know how your financial situation is (it's particular to you, guys), but it must not be easy on you. so if you take all of what I just said (and more) into consideration, it's pretty easy to get to the conclusion that doing something like you did it's not gonna be all fun and games, there is some "fucked up shit" (hardship*) going on too, you must have been through a lot. well, if it was me, that's probably how it would be. even so I think that in the end it would be worth it.
@DaebakOfficial8 жыл бұрын
M. Eduarda dos S. R. I think all of us had it pretty easy, we all did our homework on Korean culture before coming so there were no big shocks there ^^ And since we came as students we recieved financial support from the Swedish government and you will meet new friends in school from day one who are just as new to this country as yourself :) You just get to discover it together! We also made Korean friends online before coming so they could help us out once we arrived. Honestly it was pretty smooth sailing all the way, and silvia and I had our families come visit us during Christmas which was about halfway through our first year here :) Of course every person will have a different experience but we had everything well prepared so there was no trouble ^^ /Ida
@MEdSanRi8 жыл бұрын
I think I'll just agree in disagreeing with you, even if well prepared (of course you should do your "homework" before) I still think one should be aware that there's gonna be some trouble. I would take the perverted taxy driver, the stalkers and sleeping with a towel as examples, nothing that couldn't be solved (as it was) and happen in any other place (I just think that it would be worse far away from "home"), but if you yourself think that it was smooth, that's all what should matter to you. I'm particularly glad that you think that way with a positive mind and things have worked out well for you, keep the good work and share it as long as you are comfortable with it. I hope one day I have my own experience too. btw, I'm from Brazil, we also used to have something similar to Sweden (that's pretty cool, huh? ^-^), but as far as I know it's not working anymore, well, let's see how things are gonna be in a near future.
