I think what you are doing is great. It is obvious you are good people as the negative affects you. Don't let it. We have watched many of your videos and have enjoyed them. You will evolve as you continue doing these videos and it will only get better as you learn what works and what doesn't work. Ignore the hate, some people just have to push their miserable life on others. They dont have all the facts and just know that you are not going to please everyone as some are just not happy no matter what. Focus on the positive people and embrace the true constructive criticism as people should know that nobody is perfect. I think it is admirable what you are both doing and that is just providing your perspective on The Villages and sharing your opinions about that lifestyle.😊

OMG!!!! I am watching this right now and had to get my computer to comment! Y'all are NOT KAREN's....y'all are 180 degrees from that! My husband and I are enjoying your videos so much! We watched one last night. We have been to The Villages 4 times...we are coming again in April and are hoping to purchase a villa style home (we have a beagle...need I say more...we need WALLS! LOL!) but because of y'all .... we are seriously considering Spanish Springs! We watch a few other KZbinrs from The Villages....and love getting different perspectives! Hearing different perspectives....has made a HUGE difference in our decision. We were pretty set on Lake Sumter or below....but, after hearing y'all, we have decided to do some serious looking in Spanish Springs! A lot of the things y'all said....really resonated with us....and y'all were NOT trying to CONVINCE us of anything! You were just sharing your thoughts/likes/dislikes and just some facts! Ok...well, I'm in Chattanooga and it is not 5 o'clock here....but I'm wound up and may have to have a glass of wine anyway! Lastly....anyone who watches your KZbin videos...and doesn't like them....should simply STOP WATCHING. There is no need to be rude and ugly....they do not have to watch it and then take the time to comment rudely???? We also watch Jerry/Linda and when they got an email that said they were "boring AF" .... we almost spit our coffee out and I commented to them....that anyone taking the time to be ugly...clearly has no life and obviously no one is waiting on them for drinks or anything else! Ok girls....please keep up the videos, we are very much enjoying them. I'm sure you won't make one this weekend since y'all will probably be out blowing your combined $150.00!!! LOL! You ladies are wonderful and have such a calming presence. My husband and I visited TV in January on a lifestyle visit. Had a wonderful time and loved the lifestyle. What's holding us back from moving to TV is the building around the area, outside TV. We learned about the multiple apartments, townhomes, and single family homes just on the outskirts of the Villages. Do you know what the approximate population in this development is expected in the first phase?

Thank you Kay 😊 We don’t know the numbers. The struggle has always been that people want to retire to TV, and want to eat out and get their hair done etc. Since everyone here is retired, they need people to work the stores, restaurants etc. It used to be the norm that we didn’t have the best service because everyone was short handed. We just didn’t have enough people in the area to work. They are trying to build affordable housing near us so that we will have enough people nearby to work at all of the places we all love to go to. This is the good and the bad. It is a wonderful place to live and more and more people have discovered it and want to be here. They have a demand for more/new stores and restaurants and now need people to work at all of those places. It seems at this point, most of the new growth is heading toward the Wildwood area. TV did just buy some land down near Leesburg, but that is already a pretty developed town. Hope that helps!

Great video and channel! Thank you for your insights. Do you have a feel for how often Villagers who have lived in the Villages more than a year visit a town square? (3 times a week, twice a month, once every two months). I am asking because my uneducated view (I haven't visited the Villages yet, but am looking forward to visiting!) is that I think I would like to live no more than a 10 minute golf cart ride from a town square. However, the north west side of the Villages and Chitty Chatty both seem to be very popular while they both seem to be quite far from a town square by golf cart.

Very interesting question! I (Debbie) live about 12 minutes by cart from Sumter Landing. For my husband and I, we don’t visit the square very often, unless we have company in. We like to cook at home and once we are done, we kind of settle in. Jan lives about 5 minutes to Spanish Springs and she and her husband LOVE music. They probably visit the square 1-2 times a week. Sometimes they just go for 30 minutes or so to enjoy getting out. It really does depend on your interests. If you like music, they have some great bands! Hope that gives you some ideas! Hi Blue eyes! I am kind of a numbers person and even when we get the negative garbage, I always revert back to numbers. We get approximately 44,000 views a month. If we get even 10 nasty comments, that still means most people either liked it, or had the courtesy to just change the channel or not comment! 😃. I also realize that most of those people would never dare say things like that to your face. It has definitely been an eye opener! If this could be your passion, or hobby, you should do it! You do just have to mentally compartmentalize it all. When we get the nastys, I usually respond only with thanks for watching. I hope that they do see the response and realize a human took the time to read their comment and to respond. Maybe some of them will get a tiny wake up call that we are real people. Then there are some people I am completely convinced have been hittin the bottle too hard late at night 😂😂. Either way, we try not to take any of it personally. I was looking to see what the locals had to say about it and I came across your channel. You two have been very positive as well as objective. Ignore the rude comments. You can sense the attitude of the writer fairly quick. Don’t even read it. If you want to do a Q&A, have a third person scan the comments and choose mostly pleasant and maybe one or two unpleasant issues to address. Don’t let them upset for more than a moment. You are quite pleasant, ladies. My niece and her husband visited TV while in Florida a couple of years ago. She said what struck her was the golf carts everywhere and how unfriendly the people were. I asked if they got out of the car and she said NO, My response was “how would you know if the people were friendly or not if you didn’t even get out of the car. You need to spend time there.
