Logan, I'm so touched that you asked us to be a part of this project! It's been really nice to have folks reach out and say it made them feel better to know they're not alone in the way they started their firm, or that it was validating. Really beautiful work piecing it all together and I'm so glad to have been a part of it.

Mike's advice is the gold standard of future, successful, firms. Combo'd with Nacy and others' advice about finding community and you can create a killer successful practice.

In many European countries, for instance, work hours are much lower due to mandated vacation time and shorter workweeks, with some countries like Germany and the Netherlands averaging around 1,300 to 1,400 work hours per year. Meanwhile, the U.S. tends to have a higher average, which is closer to the 1,950 mark, as there’s less vacation time and often longer workweeks.

Seeing local business owners needing bookkeeping help. Non-cpa with several years working in public accounting & plan to launch the firm when 2025 rolls in. Want to focus on Bookkeeping & advisory for now during the side hustle phase. Might push into tax but I don't want to spread myself thin. I want to have a niche & expertise as a solo firm which is why I'm hesitant on tax. Thanks for the videos! I'm consuming as much as I can as I plan everything out.

1950 hours still seem a lot, doesn’t it? How many weeks of vacation does that include?
