Great video, lots of usable content and no fluff. Wife and I are moving to Gerogia next mont and always like a more no nonsense video thats not only about the touristy stuff. Keep it up

Thanks, that was interesting. I would love to go. What about the language? Was English spoken widely?

Thanks for watching Jackie, I hope you get to go soon!! It depends on who you spoke to - generally I found that younger Georgians spoke quite good English and some older Georgians were also able to communicate in English. Some weren’t however and in general the Russian speakers that I came across also struggled to communicate in English, so a bit of a mixed bag

Hello, I have a question. Is being a youtuber (if I meet minimum monthly income criteria) qualifies for digital nomad visa in georgia?? Pls reply
@Ibrahim-metahari196826 күн бұрын
Georgia is now in a "slide". Prices of rent are on the rise while the quality of rentals in Tbilisi and Batumi may have more in common with rentals in Cairo or Istanbul (spacious but poorly maintained plumbing and electricity). WiFi is great if you have it in your home/office but if you are outside moving about, WiFi isn't so great. Basically it's safe, cheap and friendly. *Most businesses, especially restaurants have very poor customer service skills. For People of Color, you will notice some discrete staring and being followed in stores after 10pm. For Muslims, there is a subtle Islamophobia in the society that a foreigner may not experience but Georgians do. It's a great place to stay (for a year)!

are they still offering digital nomad visas ? I heard somewhere they no longer are.

Someone else commented this as well, my info in this video was based on a June 2023 article but if there has been an update since I’d be really interested to find a source

@@MillennialsWithMoney it is confusing bcz I couldn't find any digital nomad visa on official website of Georgia foreign affairs. And I had discussion with nomad embassy ( third party website) and they told me that Georgia no longer offers this visa
@FranciscoOrtiz2 ай бұрын
@@touseefcodes there was never a "digital nomad visa", it was a special permit to enter Georgia when the country's borders where still closed in 2020. It was one of the first movers and media replicated it everywhere with misinformation ever since. Most western countries don't need any visa, since you can stay all year long as a tourist. You can spend as many years as you want here without ever getting a residency (as long as you travel once a year). Getting legal residency is very easy too if you want that. Of course that you would be liable to pay taxes if you spend over 183 days in a year, because you'd become a tax resident, but those can go from 0-20% depending on income source. Most digital nomads pay 1% over revenue with a current 183k USD a year limit. No capital gains tax. Locals don't pay any, so some foreigners take that risk too.

Hey man, are we able to rent cars in Georgia. Considering public transport isn't the best especially if you want to venture out of Tbilisi...
@MillennialsWithMoney7 ай бұрын
Hey, I looked into it when I went and though I didn't do it I'm sure it's possible, as someone I know from Spain mentioned that he drove there. Definitely for seeing the rest of the country a car can come in handy. Thanks for watching!

Hello friend. I'm interested in DM Visa. Do you think I can get PR in Georgia on DM Visa?

Digital nomad visa is shut down if I’m not mistaken so you have to pay 1% taxes I believe

Do you have a source for the programme being shut down? When I made the video I was referring to articles from April to June this year

I'm currently here, and this video doesn't reflect the reality. The experience has been very different-mostly encountering LGBT+ Russians, eccentric individuals, and people asking for money, even in upscale areas like Vake. The locals don’t seem particularly friendly (this is based on feedback from four friends living here, including Germans, Brazilians, and Russians). If you're poor and need to save pennies there's at least 30 destinations better than Georgia, I'd recommend Latin America over Georgia-it's ten times better
@MillennialsWithMoney2 ай бұрын
@@YuriRJRW sorry to hear you feel that way. I didn’t have a particularly negative experience with the locals, though they didn’t necessarily stand out as super friendly either so I can sort of understand your comment there. I’d certainly go back to Georgia nevertheless. Also hopefully travelling to Latin America in the near future and looking forward to it. Thanks for watching!
