every thing you say about diluc is also true for xiangling (which is the best pyro in the game right now in stats) shes also a character that was one of the first released and free for every one, and she also does not need to care at all for rotations since she is off field dps so if you use xing qiu you don't need to care at all about order. also she works with almost every single hydro character due to her off dps ability, she also is even more simplistic than diluc not even needing to do the elemental skill. the entire reason why diluc is almost never use now is not due to who tao, or yomiya, but instead because of units like xiang ling, just look at how little klee is used? shes bared in any abyss teams nowdays so this isn't anything exlusive to diluc

Guoba doesn't generate much energy to begin with and can easily miss enemies, and there aren't many great options in terms of batteries for her. And because she doesn't feel that good or fun to play if you can't get good uptime, I really do believe Diluc is more accessible, even if he admittedly has less synergy with other hydro/cryo characters. I mean yeah him and Klee aren't used in abyss because they have lower DPS ceilings and they have no novelty as characters that have been around since forever. But as was the point of the video, Diluc holds a good niche as a decently strong but extremely simple to pilot main DPS

I just recently started using Diluc less than a month ago and I can firmly say that he really surpassed my expectations. I used to hate claymore characters cause they're slow. Plus, I thought he needs full set witch set. Turns out with 2pc pyro 2pc Noblesse I feel very comfortable and satisfied. Ascending also increases crit rate giving more room to build him. I say this as a meta player, no matter which hypercarry is on top... Diluc will be always a GIGACHAD. His cinematic cutscenes in the game are seared into my brain. His intro with Kaeya at the domain, and his story parts along with Dawn Winery and Angel's Share tavern are some of the best parts of the game. Dude is one of Genshin's best representative characters. So much to love about him.

Meaning you can switch him back in and retain his flames status and skill compared to Hutao who loses her elemental skill the moment you swap her out

I like Diluc for the same reason I like Kaeya over other shiny cryo units: the man just gets the job done. No annoying conditions, just elemental damage where and when you need it. Honestly, at this point I feel like we NEED more units like this. I launch the game to relax and have fun after work, not to write a military strategy thesis.

I like the unga bunga playstyle, but I like a bit of intelligence put in it, which is why I LOVE playing Yanfei (Diluc is usually on the other team in the abyss though lol) Yanfei's aim is so good, just stand there and spam mouse, and do a charged attack sometimes. Use E, use Q, unga bunga. But you need to count to 3. It's just perfect.

I didn’t really mind her stamina issues even at C0 because, as you say, doing some normal attacks in between charged is really not hard at all. @@jeremiahsmith916 yanfei has one of the most cohesive kits in the game in my opinion. Her main source of DPS is her charged attacks. Each of her basic attacks give her seals which make her charged attacks hit harder and have a larger AOE. Her E, upon hitting enemies, giver her the max about of seals, thus supporting her charged attack. Her burst, upon activating, gives her maximum seals, and gives her a seal every second, AND buffs her charged attack damage, which again, supports her charged attack (aka her main source of dps) Her passive talents give her a pyro damage buff based on how many seals she uses, and gives her an extra attack worth 80% of her ATK everytime her charged attack crits. Her constellations reduce stamina consumption when using seals (using charged attack), increases crit rate on her charged attacks, gives her a shield (helps prevent interruption during her charged attacks), and gives her an extra seal (making her charged attacks stronger) I wholeheartedly believe she has one of the most solid and unified kits in the game.

Mihoyo has shown that they're willing to indirectly buff older characters through artifacts and weapons or adding newer characters that work well with older characters. Greatest example is Albedo. Best boi got a new BiS artifact set, BiS 4* weapon, and a support in Gorou. Still in the copium gang that Diluc will be relevant again when he gets a crit dmg claymore with a passive that's tailored made for him.

This is realistically the only thing that could bring him back into the meta. A strong crit damage claymore with an elemental infusion bonus similar to Mistsplitter would be incredible on him. That said, its hard to imagine an artifact set more perfect for him than Crimson Witch, and actually having his kit be buffed is a far fetched dream, so dumping primos for a five star weapon is really Diluc mains only hope. Strong supports are always welcome though. A replacement to XQ or even Benny could lessen the load off Diluc's BiS team comps

redhorn stonethresher has a crit damage with def to atk scaling, the passive isn't the best for him, but its a good start. id recommend you buy a welkin and focus on saving up just for that weapon if you do plan to buff him up in this patch.

Mihoyo is only willing to indirect buff old units due to the rerun to boost sales. Albedo was regarded underwhelming in the past, so they needed to buff him or the sales will be bad. As for diluc, he is off banner character who already has a BIS artifact, and is still somewhat decently strong, Mihoyo have no reason to buff him. Unless we get a diluc banner(which is unlikely due to so many reruns on que), we will probably won't see a Diluc buff

Diluc was my very first 5 star and I love him to this day. He’s just so fun to play. He has the flare to him, with a rough yet regal style with his claymore. Honestly, he's the reason why I got into Genshin, when I saw someone played his cutscene I decided to play the game right away. Got him on my beginner's wish and was my first five star. Fast forward I'm now Ar56 with Hutao, Xiao, Childe and other great characters but I still use him be it abyss or just exploring. I can't replace him since he's been with me in the beginning and I'm just so attached.

Aww I can totally relate since I feel the same with my Xiao. He was my first five star, and for a long time I could NOT use any other dps but him. I even avoid Andrius because I want to use Xiao. It's also worth pointing out that in addition to short cooldowns/low er cost, having a sequential elemental attack means you can react to enemies, whether it's to dodge or reposition. Another thing is his windows for doing elemental/burst dmg being relatively short duration wise means he can utilize the full benefit of things like scurose's EM/viridescent buffs, Xing's full ult (with post burst pyro infusion included). Plus his burst being a single animation attack with a giant hitbox is in itself very useful and becoming increasingly rare. He might not be able to throw up ganyu numbers but he has massive utility even now. Btw have you considered doing a longer form version of these videos? It's cool seeing people talking shop.

I assure you every single one of the Amber abyss clears have godlike artifacts theyve been farming for a year, 5 star weapons and excellent meta supports basically carrying her. Diluc's biggest weaknessess to me are him being tied to the Crimson Witch Domain while also not working too well with the Shimenawa set AND the lack of crit Claymores so far to make building easier, other than that he's a great unit.

i am absolutely obsessed with diluc, he’s always been the character i’ve wanted most since i started playing back in april. i was honestly very nervous hearing so many ppl say how weak he is now/how he’s been power crept and how he’s barely decent to get you through the current content. well, i just got him about two weeks ago, and even at lvl 80/90, a lvl 90 wgs and a pretty lackluster 2 pc glad 2 pc crimson witch (still working on it), he is doing amazing. he’s been carrying me since i got him, my previous favorite DPS were beidou, ei, childe, and klee, so i think being amazed by his numbers says a lot. he’s strong, powerful, fast, and he’s So simple to play. i’m still getting used to how eula and hutao work, but with diluc it’s so simple i definitely feel like anyone could use him, easily build him, and do a great job in the game.

In a game like this I'm actually amazed people would shit on other characters yet in Souls and Souls-likes people come up with a fuckton of wacky builds that get praised because they work

He's a godsend in Monstadt's talent domain. His quick CD on his skill and burst, the range of the burst and the pyro infusion makes it far easier to handle those annoying ice mooks compare to other pyros such as Hutao that has time limit on her skill as well as damage decrease due to stamina issues. Of course there are other pyros such xiangling, klee, yanfei and yoimiya but they don't just don't hit it as well as diluc do in that domain.

The duality of Diluc: 1. If someone tries to diss him for his low dmg, that player suffers criticism for not raising character properly and spreading hate 2. Four other tips from a long-time (C0) Diluc player: 1) I see people in co-op often forgetting to proc the Crimson Witch effect before their burst for more damage. 2) Vaporize has an internal cooldown, so mind the timing of your ele skill hits and space them out, so each hit triggers a vaporize reaction (throw in some non-pyro infused normal attacks in between). 3) Don't underestimate your pyro-infused normal attack damage following your burst. I'm easily able to do 20-30k a hit on pyro-infused normal attacks with the right team setup, and consistently 15-20k without buffs. 4) Make especially sure you land that last elemental skill attack (where he does a midair spin and hits the ground with his claymore) as it hits like a truck. Have seen that last hit do 50-60k range damage, and the two before that do 30-40k range damage. Take your time to position yourself. Honestly Diluc has been the solid, dependable, heavy hitter carry (AR 57 player here) from way back in the day. His gameplay is incredibly flexible and fluid in a way that other characters are not, due to the three ele skill hits not needing to be consecutive hits. I have total control over when and where those three hits land to maximize damage. And I love his badass burst animation just as much now as when I first saw it - he launches a f***ing PHOENIX OFF HIS CLAYMORE. WHATTTT Last comment (wow I really like Diluc): When I see his falcon idle animation, I laugh because it's like he's constantly getting work emails from Dawn Winery.

I mained him from AR6-55, 6 months of painful artifact grinding and getting all his stats to lvl10 and now he's complete, it was so worth it. I love how he's easy to play and has great energy recharge so that I can spam his burst and mainly because he's my top favorite in the game due to his personality. It will never cease to amaze me how players seem to take genuine offense to what other players are using in games like these that are purely PvE. In PvP i can understand it since having someone jeopardize your teamcomp could mean you "waste your time" if winning is all you care about (which is kind of a sus way to play games, but i can understand it i guess) but in PvE... Whereas when it comes to meta characters, most of toxicity comes from meta players shaming *other* meta players for not doing high damage. Toxicity towards both groups exist but due to different reasons, and toxicity towards non-meta players can be harder to handle because most meta players will immediately kick you out of co-op or insult you six ways to Sunday for just trying to play with the character you like.

He is one of the most defining characters for me personally in the game. I first met him is his amazing cutscene in Kaeyas Domain and wanted him ever since, so I made a new account and rerolled until I started with him. It was ups and downs while I was learning more about the game. Currently im contributing to the new Keqingsmains Diluc guide, especially in the ballpark of C4 and probably some time in the future C6 because I lost every single 50/50 so far and he really likes me, which i dont mind And I do agree with most of your points. Especially for the plethera of casual players or mobile players a simplistic yet effective and fun to play kit at C0 is a great thing to have. You have a very decent to high performance floor. There is not a lot you can do to improve his ceiling, unlike the more complex pyro carries and especially Hu Tao, but I do think that is a very good thing. It means that everybody can get similar results regardless of personal skill level and I do think we need characters like this in the game. If you cant manage energy properly, Diluc is a thousand times better than XL even though she is technically more blessed than him. Cant be bothered to learn jump or dash cancels? Diluc got you covered. You impulsively switch off sometimes because of panic? He is your boy Just a minor criticism, pls dont say XL is a good pyro support for him without context. Sure thing pure pyro can work if you want to, but you really want bennet for that aswell to work Really liked the video :)

Another huge perk of playing diluc is that you can do the first hit of his elemental skill, swap out, apply another element, swap back, then do the second hit, then swap, reapply, then do the third hit. In fact, his whole kit seems designed around constantly swapping out to maximize how many reactions you trigger and being able to do so regardless of how much energy your other characters have. Edit: In other words, even with mediocre sub-dps characters, you can easily set him up with a situation to constantly trigger his burst. New to the game and all you have is Diluc and the starting cast? No problem, he works just fine with Barbara or Lisa. It's not optimal but it sure as hell gets the job done.

I feel like your point really hinges on defining powercreep as "being made irrelevant", because in that sense, yeah I agree. There will always be people who love Diluc's gameplay, his cutscenes, his aesthetic, his personality, his backstory, whatever, so he will always have a place in the game. (And we're just gonna keep getting him and his constellations whether we want them or not.) And yeah, his simplicity is really nice. I don't like using him because I don't like claymore autoattacks (except Razor but that's irrelevant) but I used him in a few Abyss runs because it's so easy to slap gear on him and run him with underbuilt supports. That said, if we look at powercreep in the sense of "someone else can essentially do his job better than he can", what's interesting is that he's been "powercrept" since day 1 because C4 Xiangling has ALWAYS been a better pyro vaporize carry than C0 Diluc in most settings, and it just took a while for people to realize. With Hu Tao's arrival I think the powercreep became more obvious, but she is difficult to play optimally, whereas Xiangling's team is not that much harder than Diluc so Diluc's only strength here is that he is more comfy in the overworld since Pyronado kills stuff too fast to properly recharge energy lol. Obviously that's only really relevant for people who care about minmaxing and optimizing, and you're right that people who love Diluc can, and probably always will be, just build him and use him to clear content. Play who you want, that's the point of the game and I think your video does a nice job of articulating that. I don't even think I'm necessarily arguing or disagreeing with you on anything, I just think it's interesting that Diluc never was the premier DPS carry or Pyro carry in the game and that was just a perception created by lack of full knowledge of every character's potential.

diluc and to a degree keqing have the most complex techniques if you want to push their damage to max potential like dragon strike and E teleport position management, they're the most well designed characters in the game from that standpoint where you can play them simple or complex depending on your preference. So called complex hutao usually just bypasses her difficulty by putting a giant shield to prevent hp loss and then ungabunga spam charge. Ganyu cheats burst duration (the only character in the game with 100% burst uptime), and freezes enemies so that her low hp and arrow charge time is not an issue. Diluc and keqing don't have shortcuts like that, you either can do your dragon strikes or you can't. That is ultimately what makes something meta, abuse of mechanics in unintended ways that puts their difficulty lower and output higher than more balanced and well designed kits.

I agree. i have been playing Diluc for a while now. Tried mastering dragon strike, perfect rotations for maximum damage output, and grinded the Crimson Witch of Pain domain for decent artifacts. Got him the perfect teammates too--Benette, XQ, Kazuha. I dont have WGS but I got Unforged at 90 (so Im building Thoma/Diona so he can have a shielder). Maxed his talents. Maxed out his artifacts and weapons. Then I got HuTao with Homa. Slapped left-over artifacts on her. And she matched Diluc's damage in no time. 😂 Like, what the hell, man. There's not much skill involve in keeping her at 50% health too if you have a semi-built shielder like Noelle. I understand Diluc is standard banner, and HuTao is limited banner, but it really felt like was using some cheat code when playing HuTao.

If you're implying Hu Tao is easy, she really isn't if you want to play her optimally. To get damage on par with other top DPS team comps you need perfect animation cancelling. (I'm citing KQM's podcast on this, I forget which episode. But I don't pretend to be an expert theorycrafter here.)

what you said about hu tao is wrong. her most powerful combo is not a charge attack spam. it's a 12*n2cd into burst in just one e infusion for c1 hu tao. idk about c0 hu tao tho it's less difficult than c1. i think it was 8*n2cj into burst or something. anyway this makes her indeed complex. an unga bunga charge spam is a dps loss because not all vapes would connect. her charged attacks do not have icd so you constantly apply pyro which could make it be applied before hydro if you are doing a charge spam.

One of the biggest things I care about is consistency in teams, and any bit of inconsistency can easily lead to large messes, so the fact that Diluc is so easy to play minimizes these potential causes for error. AI manipulation not working? Diluc doesn't care. Lack of enemies? Diluc doesn't care. These two things can sometimes change a character's potential to the extremes and are factors that you cannot easily see until you encounter them. With Diluc, none of that matters, which means you can easily recommend him to anyone who has him, and not have to worry about what the other player's circumstances are.

I've always wanted him especially for consistency. my first 5* was Eula and i only built her after some months (i don't like her personality and character); she is not fully built and has the starsilver snowtombed, and her numbers are just... Ugh... Sometimes with her burst in the best conditions she can deal 100/120k, one time she did 176k. But then, right after it, perfect combo and all but different enemy, she can deal less than 20k, sometimes even less than 10k. So I'll always say this: big numbers are fun to see, but I'd rather have a reliable character that deals constant 25k than one that deals 100k and then 5k right after.

That being said, Eula is definitely not as simple as Diluc. In return, she has the potential to just one shot a lot of mobs in one go, whereas Diluc sometimes needs to sometimes smack each of the mobs with two left clicks and an E with XQ's burst active. Times like that are when I think Diluc's consistency becomes his downfall.

Eula, if built equally as well to a Diluc, will beat him 100% of the time. My Eula consistently does 300k+ and she’s only lv80 with 6/6/7 talents, by far my least invested character as opposed to my 90k+ CA Hu Tao and 500k+ Raiden. TLDR: The issue is your build, not Eula herself. Slapping your Eula build on Diluc will make his damage just as inconsistent, but even lower than Eula.

Diluc's my 2nd 5* pull since November last year, and was the first character I maxed out to lv90. His straightforward DPS attacks and simpler combat mechanics earned him the 2nd spot on my Starter Party, behind CEO of GEO Zhongli who is my Main Main. The new shiny 5* may be cool, but the consistent gameplay of earlier 5* are the staple in any Genshin parties.

There’s this one toxic Diluc main in the Genshin subreddit before that trashtalked other DPS characters and compared them to Diluc right before Ganyu was released. Seeing his comments about Ganyu kinda soured me on Diluc for almost an entire year. Of course, I felt vindicated when Ganyu turned out to be effin cracked and became the DPS standard. Then I got spooked by Diluc around a month ago and since I’ve already Friendship 10’d a lot of my DPS’s, I was compelled to build him. To my big surprise, I found him so fun to use. He’s kinda like Raiden for me, damage potential and ease of use is kinda balanced. Plus the vape/melt weaves are so satisfying.

I still main Diluc. I got him when I started in 1.1 from my first 10-roll on the beginner's wish and I've mained him ever since. He might not be as strong as the later characters, but they're let down by gimmicky mechanics, fatal flaws, and clunkiness. Diluc is smooth, simple, and doesn't have any major flaws. Xiangling's damage output is dependent on good supports, which we don't have back then. At most, we want her for her pyro needle, but that cost 80 energy which is a lot early game as we didn't have the weapons or the artifacts for energy recharge early game. It's not much of an issue now, but back then, it's a dps loss.

Same with Bennett. I remember when he was seen as bad. As we all learn more about the game like ICD, optimal rotations, and etc., we come to the fact that he wasn’t the strongest ever, he was just so simple that all his strengths were laid out and he just seemed the best.

@@xxpyrosisxx When I built XQ and Benette, my Diluc is also already built, so there was no reason to build another melee pyro. I built Yanfei for a ranged pyro. And then got and built Hutao coz well, she's my baby. 😅 Then I will build Thoma for his shield coz Diluc got Unforged and for Hutao as well. So yeah, building Xiangling is redundant for my current team and not a priority. I also ran out of pyro gems already. I will hopefully build her after Thoma just so my pyro dps-es could get the pyro needle, but i don't think it's a necessity. I think if I didn't get Diluc in the beginning, I would have built her for sure.

diluc has been a main stay in my core genshin gamplay loop ever since i pulled him in february and honestly i never had any issues with him regarding anything even getting tired of his gameplay and honestly diluc as a dps really impersonates "it just works" no caveats whatsoever and that makes his basicness special you get a full package that is literally plug and play at c0 with f2p weapons no constellations needed to fix minor inconveniences to glaring issues of the gameplay or even make the unit actually fun to play (looking at you c1 hu tao, c2 eula and c6 kazuha)

i disagree with kazuha because hes perfectly fine at c0. He does great personal dmg even with eithera crit build or EM build, and hes still really fun to play. KAzuha DPS at c0 is actually possible and the dmg output is ok, not that great but its good enough with proper artifact and weapon. Ofc c6 can completely turn him into a good main DPS but its just a way to enjoy him more if u really like him, he doesnt feel in complete at c0 because he was never really designed as main DPS at c0 but a powerful support/sub DPS.

He is my first and only 5 Star character and I love him so much. I put all my resources into him and he is carrying my whole team almost singlehandedly. Altough Bennet, Barbara and Diona support him and keep him from dying lol

Diluc can work with pretty much everyone, overall good dmg for pyro and phys, very low cooldown. Very straightforward, no weird stacking etc. Also his burst covers a very wide area which is great. He’s been on my team since the beginning.. even now when i’m AR 55 with other 5*

Diluc is basically low skill floor for low damage ceiling. Newbie friendly at the cost of not incredibly high damage in comparison to others, but he did carry me early game until i started try-harding abyss for 36 stars.

pulled diluc on the standard wish banner when i just started playing this year, and i was honestly pleasantly surprised by how good he is. his playstyle is super satisfying cause it feels like ur whacking the enemies urself. he's my pyro carry now wwww

It would be cool to see a Why Noelle. I main her since 1.2 and she is what you can call a frontline support, she offers shield, healing and aoe damage but it need to be at the frontline so you center the team around the fact that she is a support and so you add 3 sub dps and one of them a Geo Battery.

I love Diluc and I'm still keeping him as my main character on my usual team. It was so hard to get him and I was so happy when "finally" got him. I do not understand why Mihoyo is not upgrading him. I do not wish to put him in a corner and just collect dust!!! Graphically he is so nice but almost all grown up character have the same phisicality they are all slim and they look so "fragile", I really would like some diversities on male and female characters. Itto looked nice and different but when I saw some preview he is just the same as all the others.

For me the whole discussion to say that "Character A is better than B" comes down to resin. If we had more resin or the domains costs less or even if Mihoyo improved the RNG, people would really play with any character without having to farm for weeks to make them "good". For example I would love to play sayu but I need to farm for her cuz my world is level 7. But farming for her just to use her on my exploration team would delay the farming for the characters I current use. Would be great to read your opinions on this.

Tbh it’s pretty worthwhile to farm for Sayu because the 4pc VV is a very universal set for most anemo charas. And it’s really easy to farm too since you only need to care for EM main stat, and arguably an alternate ER sands for backup. Most teams need an anemo anyway so it’s a wise investment. Though, as for the “Chara A is better than B” comparison, I believe that it goes beyond resin. A Kaeya can never catch up to an Ayaka. There are many respectable Kaeya mains around, but no amount of farming can make his dps equal to that of Ayaka’s. Even with the same amount of resin and the exact same artifacts, Ayaka will easily triumph. Even if more resin spent on Kaeya, …..Ayaka will still triumph. Of course this should not discourage Kaeya-lovers from playing him (I main him myself), but from a resin POV there’s no amount of resin that can have “weaker” charas catch up. I still 36* the abyss with him as my main so he clears content perfectly fine, but there’s no denying that if I had given his artifacts to Ganyu or ayaka he would’ve done it way faster and easier.

@@SugarSweet1897 Agreed. A 5* is a 5* for a reason. But I still have the felling when I spend all my resin that I want to farm more or that it was not worth it since no good artifacts. Im more of a lore player than a meta one so it does not affect me that much, but Im also f2p so resin is the main thing making not 36* the abyss. But another good thing is that although genshin is a gacha game is does not rely on the gacha to be fun. I really love exploring the map to get to the 100% mark, world quests, hangout events and much more. Im playing the game since day 2 and still have so much to do. Anyway, great point of yours and respect for you being a Kaeya main, he was the first one to leave the team after some days when I got Noelle. Also Noelle best girl.

As much , As I love Diluc(I reroll my acc 5 times to get him) the game has power creep him so much in the abyss. My Hutao has outshine him so much, that I hate it. Don’t get me wrong Hutao is fun to play, but I prefer the non stop action Diluc E where you feel like you’re hammering down giant fooking sword on the enemies.

Tbh diluc can still clear fine. He just needs more busted sub-dps like Rosaria. Back then he was like hu tao he worked as a sole carry but with the new abyss he wants extra damage from his teammates. Rosaria can easily do 40k melt and then diluc can also do damage on top of that. If Rosaria was just as popular as xiangling, diluc-melt would prob be as popular as childe-xiangling

As a diluc main, imma be honest diluc has been powercrept even before hutao by xiangling in vaporize comp but yea, one thing that he will prop never be powercrept by is the popularity of his character or that he's a great pyro dps option for f2p since u dun really have to invest in him or his supports to make him deal decent dmg.

I gotta say, when I got Diluc on my main account, that was a game changer for me. The sheer rapidity of his skill and burst cooldowns just make him an essential dps character on my team. I usually play him, traveler, Kazuha, and a hydro character, like Barbara or Mona. If I feel like a I need a healer, I go with Barbara, but if I'm just looking to deal as much damage as possible in a short fight, I take Mona. Although, Raiden Shogun is also a bit of a pet project that I'm working on.

8:15 I disagree with that notion. Counting up to Shenhe, we are missing 11/30 of the current possible combinations for 5*s, most of which only have 1 filling that category (only 4/30 have 2, none have 3). Add the fact that we are getting another element being dendro and another weapon type, potentially even more than one rumoured 2 or 3 even, suddenly we're looking at a minimum of 42 upwards of 56 possible combinations. Not to mention we may even end up with an eighth element or multi-element characters. The means we're not even half way through the minimum possible combinations. So even if we get more duplicated of weapon type and element, we likely won't be getting many, meaning the chances of having a Pyro Claymore 5* that is also a dps character is not high at all.

I never realized it properly how you meant the whole "simplicity" thing until I noticed how many freaking mechanics we have for different characters. Funny enough, I like the difficulty of Childe (my main therefore the example) with the whole high risk high reward system of his kit, but for other characters I can't help but sometimes get frustrated or exhausted when I remember I didn't execute something in the proper order for max dmg. e.g raiden hits like a truck, but I always gotta remind myself that everyone's burst has to go first - which annoyed me a ton. I didn't have a pyro DPS for a long time in the game. I accidentally pulled klee but never used her, got no 5-star on yoimiya's banner and then got lucky with hu tao who i initally pulled for her personality and fast-paced gameplay. But since I have no C1 I benched her after like 2 months despite her being highly invested into and doing big numbers. Now fast forward to a couple weeks agos I FINALLY lost 50/50 to Diluc after having C4 Jean at this point... Whenever I'm out just exploring or collecting stuff he's in my team and the simplicity is kinda relaxing, if you can call it that way. It's nice how consistent all of his kit is, it's super straightforward and has practically zero conditions. When I got into the game wolfs gravestone was even my first 5-star so I got excited to pull him, only for my experienced ar50+ friends to tell me he's not good anymore etc etc. I hope that even in the next years to come the older characters won't constantly be shoved away by the community and deemed as an older or worse version. The whole Ayato vs Childe thing is already annoying enough.

[AR58] just got Diluc, Lvl90 immediately. It's a pain getting off banners ofcourse, but the reason that kept me going on building said 5stars (Diluc, Keqing) is because Technically in the long run, you'll get a guaranteed C6. So i use them currently and have them built heavily.

I really love his gameplay, kinda robust, fast for a claymore character and really simple. There are 3 things that make him being overwhelmed by other 5 star hypercarry: his scaling is not really impressive; he does not have a matched weapon, just like Keqing; and his useless passive gives him zero strength at all

I decided to drop diluc some time ago for spiral abyss runs. As the dps checks keep getting larger, it was getting a little annoying using him when I could breeze through it with some other units. I can still get the 36 stars with him, but it requires a more effort. With that been said, i still enjoy playing diluc very much, and still use him when going around Teyvat

Diluc is basically Genshin Impact's version of Batman. moves like Batman, (his attacks sure are fluid) acts like him, fights like him to an extent, and even Diluc's lore states that he left his vision (and everything else in his life) behind for a time so that he could learn and improve. when he came back, he started protecting Mondstadt as the "Darknight Hero."
