The message in this video is probably one of the simplest, yet most overlooked principles to becoming better. If you seek to become the best you must do as the best do, and then some. There is no substitution for hard work, and it is a shame that every other individual out of today's "lifters" believe that you can program out hard work or learn much of anything from people who simply talk.

Your right a bigger person does have more POTENTIAL to lift more weight but it is not always the case it really depends on how an individual trains. To sum it up a bigger muscle gets stronger quicker, it really depends on your goals and what sport you compete in!

Weightlifting is a weight class sport. Most chinese lifters are in the 56, 62, 69, and 77kg classes, and they must stay that weight in order to compete. Weightlifting is more about developing the nervous system to be as efficient as possible, as opposed to bodybuilding where the goal is to gain as much muscle as possible. Weightlifters aim to be as strong as possible whilst as light as possible, because if someone lifts the same weight as you, with a bodyweight even 10 grams less, you lose.

Olympic lifts are great but they are difficult to learn, so if you know how to do them feel free to implement them into your program. the the thing is you can bulk up,get stronger and more explosive concurrently! It really depends on your goals but a priority in almost every sport is to get stronger and more explosive, strrength train and sprint and do alot of plyometrics and eat alot of good food. if you need a program i can recommend one for you if you like.

Their joints and bones have become used to it and have become very strong and steady after years of practice. People say this type of training is dangerous, well it's actually the safest form of weight exercising. Movements don't injure people, people injure people. If you start light and easy, and gradually build up over time, you will be able to do more and more weight without injuring yourself. Ego is a bitch and gets a lot of people in danger.

CNS efficiency plays a much larger role in strength development than most broscience people would have you believe. danehb89 summed it up fairly well. C+J and snatch are very technical movements and it's often surprising how little muscle mass can support such large lifts. Doesn't mean muscle is useless, lots of retired bodybuilders that are already low bf% go on to lift very respectable oly and powerlifting numbers.
@clearasil11

I just C&J and Snatch 3 times a week. Work up to a nice weight and pound 5 singles. Then do assistance if you feel like it, front squats, snatch deads, dumbbell rows. Go jogging on the off days. I've lost a lot of fat simply by doing my workouts and jogging the first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. Hope it helps. You will gain loads of muscle on your legs and back and shoulders from the weightlifting =)

size doesnt always matter when it comes to strength training or olympic weight lifting any kind of weight lifting is a function of the nervous system and neural adaptation before it is a function of muscle, in other words you dont have to be very big to be very strong! If you train properly or according to your goals you can become very strong without adding unnecessary muscle mass!

They don't have any 5s, real bumper plates don't go that low. Chinese use mainly 10s and 15s because they go up and down a lot in their attempts and also share the platforms with multiple lifters. Barely ever see 25s in Chinese videos apart from on squats.

in China, the majority of people do NOT have access to these types of things. Sports are very limited due to the fact that there are too many people and everyone is very poor. If you have time to do a sport, you must be damn good at it or else you're wasting valuable time that could be used to study, or help with the family on the farm. Majority of people in China spend their time in school because it gives the highest chance for success = money.
