Understanding your own features is absolutely KEY to having good makeup. I always thought eyeliner never looked good on me and I could never get it right without looking like a 10 year old did it for me. But once I really understood the shape of my eyes, I figured out how to make it look good, although I also realized that my use of eyeliner has to be quite limited and unfancy to look good. I have large eyes that are also just slightly down turned. So instead of trying to do a big flick upwards like most girls, I have to make mine smaller and draw the line pretty much straight outward. It sounds like it might look funny, but on my eyes, it actually works and gives me that cat eye type of look I could never get before. Also I can not line my eyes all the way around, it only emphasizes the slight down turn of the outer corners. It sounds like it sucks to be limited, but really it's great to know what actually works!

What I learnt after years of messing up my eyeliner is that you CANNOT, and I repeat, CANNOT, draw your line with eyes closed or worse, pulling up your eye skin because once it goes back to its normal state, it's gonna look bad. Don't do what you think you are supposed to do, guys, do what looks best on your particular eye shape, look at it, study it, experiment until you have found the technique that is perfect for you, because every eye is different and what suits your favourite influencer or make up artist could not suit you. Believe me, eyeliner can change a face, and once you master the technique, you are never going back

If you only put product in ur crease we can't see it when u open ur eye! -fix ur eye liner wing so that it isnt cut off by ur crease when u open ur eye aka keep ur eye open while u do it and make it thin/angle it so that it doesnt go over ur eye crease effective makeup is a life changer guys have fun:) Edit: woah i never expected this many replies yall r so sweet tysm:D

personally i think its kinda sad that you cant follow the actual shape of your lip. lips come in all shapes and sizes but nowadays most people overline to get the full effect. the techniques for nose, eyes, contouring help to accentuate the natural beauty and features already there whereas most lip techniques (especially if you have smaller/thinner lips) try to erase the features you have. however theres nothing wrong with the actual shape of your lip. i think there should be a technique to accentuate it more without losing the shape of your lips.

@wx51283 жыл бұрын
@@KillerQueen-gx4vb if you have really heavy eye bags, try applying a tiny bit of concealer on your eye bags and spread it outwards/downwards. Do not spread it higher! It’ll make your eye bags more prominent if you bring your concealer upwards. Try watching Pony’s video. She have highlighted that tip.

I hope that everyone that's watching this video knows that they are beautiful just the way they are and they don't need to "correct" anything on their face💗 Makeup can be a fun activity (that I personally love doing as well) but there's a fine line between making yourself feel good doing it and seeing it as the only way to look good, because you "corrected" all of your flaws🥺 These tips are also a bit limited to a certain face shape, so please don't be discouraged if your way of doing makeup made it to the "wrong" way of doing it list. Everyone is unique and you can decide for yourself what works best for you💗 This comment isn't meant to send any negativity, I'm just hoping that you don't feel pressured after watching this video🥺 Have a nice day everyone!

Before buying makeup, I recommend you to find your skin undertone if you haven’t already. I wish I’ve known this before I buy my makeup. So you can find makeup color that suit your skin undertone. For example I have cool skin undertone so I look good in pink and purple

tips i gathered as a single eyelid/monolid person since most of the tips out there are for double eyelid people. (im not a professionalllllll) - when drawing your eyeliner, draw it as natural as possible on the outer corner of ur eyes because even if you draw it full, you wont see nothing when you open your eyes lolll - dont use bling eyeshadow on your upper eyelids because it will make ur eyelid even bloatet therefore making your eyes look smaller - focus more on ur lower eyeshadow to stretch your eyes, making an illusion that you eyes are bigger and ur nose will look smaller (trust me) - EYELASHES are a must, if you have short short eyelashes, you can use volume mascara or get temporary false lashes (reminder: dont put too much mascara, your lashes wont be curly enough bcs the product is too heavy) -draw something called "Aegyo sal" under your eyes (search them yourself) but not too much for else it will look messy - wear coloured contacts lulll

Honestly when I put on makeup I don’t want to change the way I look too much, I want to feel like myself, and too much makeup or at least makeup that completely changes my features- makes me feel bad. I like makeup when it doesn’t feel bad to take it off and when I can recognize the face in the mirror. So to me light makeup is the best, mascara, some Eye pencil (?) and some eyeshadow and glitters or whatever, blush, lipsticks (and I don’t know how to say it in English but the crayon for your lips). But just do whatever you want as long as it doesn’t make you feel bad about yourself
