They’re not pulling Africans out the slums to come here for the most part and when they did they was in the streets heavy. So the data is skewed showing your countries best and brightest. Most were former business owners / come from at least middle class and educated prior to coming. The family structure wasn’t destroyed and they have a strong community once they arrive here. Can’t compare the two. Compare yourself to the other groups of immigrants with strong insulated communities that arrive with similar circumstances. Better yet compare college educated Africans / business owners to college educated African Americans and business owners. The argument is silly.

The political elites used CIVIL RIGHTS to promote immigration which benefits the immigrants and the wealthy elites. The Black establishment (social and political elites) is part of the problem. Black leaders lie about racism and villify black conservatives who celebrate FREEDOM and OPPORTUNITY while so-called Democrat-Liberal black leaders continue to push the race narratives. The immigrant focuses on building family and community, while American blacks focus on politics, race and government handouts. This mess started towards the end of the Civil Rights movement when Liberals lead the messaging in the black community away from the male-led (traditional) familiy, feed welfare and feminism to the black community. We have not recovered!
@houseofvenusMD
@houseofvenusMD 2 ай бұрын
This is very one dimensional. The Civil Rights movement was international. Africans fought for decolonization which had international implications starting in 1945. ADOS/FBA began fighting in the US to fix specific US policy. It was two-sides of the same struggle. Your last statement is equivalent ot saying "If Chinese immigrants people perform so well in the US why is China in the shape that is in??" The answer is because of the policies of the CCP, the conditions in most countries has little to do with the people of said countries and everything to do with the politicians. Imagine someone saying "if FBA are so great why is Flint, Michigan the way it is?" The answer is because of politicians and a broken political process. It doesn't reflect on black people in Flint.
@saucejones4230
@saucejones4230 2 ай бұрын
@@houseofvenusMD ADOS is not associated with FBA. There is an existing lawsuit on this issue currently. The civil rights movement in america provided a pathway for not just africans but all immigrants. That doesn't exist in Nigeria for ADOS. (If so enlighten me) We've also included all diasporans in our current policies that were fighting for (see the ados black agenda). Are you saying that china and nigeria are similar in respect to influence or gdp or military?? Its not remotely close. What is the literacy rate in Nigeria is it comparable. How as an Nigerian immigrant do you speak negatively on the group that built the country you have opportunity in?? Where is the respect for those that paved the way for your opportunity?? The difference between our politicians and those of other african or Carribean nations is that those countries are majority african or Carribean. Thats not the case in America. We are the only group of African Descendants that have existed in a country (for multiple centuries) where we are not the majority. There is no comparison in the two.

Question: Why the comparison? There are many African/Black Americans who do very well for themselves in Ghana and many other African countries. The Ghanaian KZbinr @WODEMAYA has made several videos about very successful Black Americans in Ghana and The Gambia etc. But I've never heard anyone mentioning or being proud that these African Americans outperformed the locals. I am Congolese American and I am currently living in Kinshasa. The Lebanese, Indians, Chinese and other immigrants usually do very well and control a big part of the economy actually. So I am quite certain that if say, 10 thousand African Americans were to relocate to the Democratic Republic of Congo, they will do very well for themselves despite the many challenges and difficulties the DRC has.

First of all why is there not an African American person there to defend themselves. Yes to many things you are saying but we need to stop having these convo when our FBA cousins are not in the room. There are some things we as African immigrants can learn from our FBA friends and vis versa. In my humble opinion, I would say most FBA's are focused on ownership and uniting black people and the continent. Most African immigrants are focused on making a good and stress free living where we can contribute and benefit from the society we call home.

Through this illusion, YTSupremacy has fooled many into being used as a buffer class between those who stole the wealth and those who's backs were and ARE used to build it. But it will only reach the standard of living of say Singapore, if Nigerians, Nigerian Americans and Black Americans combine their collective skills. Forget the petty frictions, the social distance, pseudo rivalries and silly comparisons. It's time for a superpower black nation. Who in his/her right mind wouldn't want that? Most African countries would really benefit from the African Americans set of skills and expertise. The fact that they were born and raised in a corporate culture will make most of them excellent entrepreneurs if given the chance. There needs to be good government policies, very good public and commercial infrastructure and let the private sector composed of all the groups I've mentioned work their magic. Many will fail, but many will succeed...just like in America. In short: There needs to be a system created by blacks for blacks. Unfortunately, it's not the case in the US.

Growing up in poverty is one thing, but the demographic you're describing was bred and conditioned to be this way. Imagine how you’d be if your cultural identity was stripped away, replaced with degeneracy, and then the powers that be set you free and said, “Alright-go figure it out.” Why would people who were forbidden to read, beaten for trying to educate themselves, and bred to be ignorant suddenly appreciate education? I had a different perspective at first, but after taking some time to reflect, I came to a new understanding. I realized that maybe you seem to outperform Black Americans, but it could be because Black Americans are tired of being performative. Our mission as a community has always been about more than just getting a job, a degree, or a house. Our goal has been to completely dismantle the system that judges us based on race and its correlation to our performance rather than recognizing our basic humanity. We've been performing for generations in this country and have little to show for it. Our mission is much larger than just personal success. It has actually created many opportunities, but the opportunity to exist as human beings and be seen as individuals is a much bigger priority than being judged based on our usefulness to others. I believe African Americans have moved beyond that point. We have witnessed enough to understand that our mission transcends mere performance. You claiming to outperform us by Black American standards is not the same. You didn't start from the same position as we did. You left home - we never did. Based on this alone, how can you say you've outperformed us by OUR standards - not society's standards, but Black American standards?

Certain ones do. Blacks from Europe and Africa outperform FBA and Black immigrants from the Carribean. Family stability (two parent household), english proficiency, and degree attainment (Pew Research 2018, US Census 2020).

@houseofvenusMD what Africans in europe? Ones selling things on the streets? You have millions of FBA millioniares. Show me the upper-class african immigrant neighborhood in America. Then show me them spread out in America. I'll wait

@@houseofvenusMD😂😂😂 it's still over a hundred million of y'all living complete poor. Not one of those African family you talking about live inside a African country. Y'all will forever be workers n not innovators 😂.

@@choco.es.unlimited You do know that there are many Black people in Europe, right? "Ones selling things on the streets?"; that's a thing (White) racists would say! Nobody is saying there ain't FBA millionaires but the statistics are factual. You might not like it but facts are facts!

This nonsense has been debunked. You are rhe best of your country and the average or your country is well behind our average. Your best in total numbers (all immigrants) are several magnitudes less than our best. The model minority myth has to stop.
