In many cases, based on my own personal experiences, bullies target people to make them feel good about themselves. Bullying people gives them a sense of power and dominance. Its arrogance and egotism that drives some people to harass other people.

Exactly, a bully that I know was from a very rich family but her parents were absent most of the time(i guess divorced) and she had a superiority complex and used to bodyshame others to make herself feel better

the ganging up situation is really really really common these days, on internet people tend to be groups and dislike things as they want to, it’s really childish and low level behaviour, but they don’t feel the shame cuz they are groups, they feel they are unbeatable.

The old and cliche "insecurities" of bullies aren't always the answer. Sometimes it's as simple as "just because they want to", or it could be due to trying to climb the social status type thing. Not all bullies are insecure. Infact, some might even exaggerate how great they are.

Well there in my phone. I've never been bullied ever. I don't want anything to do with them. I'm not a punching bag. They know it's wrong and as soon as I get them out of my phone then I don't have to be bullied. I don't listen to thier bullshit but once and a while they can make me fly off the handle. I thought they were my friend but I was wrong. I'd rather lift others up then put ones down. Oh I get mad and I can say things that are awful but why would anyone try to do that. I just want them to go away. They never listen so now I have to make them. It's unfortunate.

Sometimes when a particular person doesnot talk to them, they think he's not their friend, not a part of their group. This develops pride in them. They feel like Kings. Much more superior than him. Then they envy him and talk behind his back. Nothing works, they feel frustrated. In the end of their lives, Karma teaches them the exact same lesson. They get bullied when they are old. (weak) Only to teach them how their victim felt when they made him suffer.
