I don't have a Tag Heuer, but I think they do make nice watches. So I would not mind the least owning one. There are a lot of other watches I would buy before I buy a Tag Heuer, but the Monaco Gulf edition is nice and some of their newer Aqua Racers are great looking watches.

I have a Tag I bought in about 1996. It’s the SEL with a blue dial. First watch I spent a significant amount of money on. I was 22 years old and at the time it was my grail watch. I still love the look of that bracelet. I change the battery every 3 to 4 years. Still runs perfect! I still wear it sometimes even though I have quite a few other watches including 3 Rolex. Today I got the special edition Hawaii Aquaracer #44 of 50 in the world! Can’t wait to wear it 🤙🏼

I love tag heuer. They fit great and feel quality to me. Listen, not everyone can afford a Rolex. And the fact they’re difficult to get and you pay way more than retail price is even less incentive .. it all depends on what motivates your watch purchases. I like watches I feel comfortable wearing day to day. A $13k Rolex as a daily wearer doesn’t make sense to me. But if I was worth a billion, $13k means almost nothing. So, I hope Tag gets a break, they make really nice watches for the every day use category. Also, I agree they are overpriced, but if you’re paying full price for a tag heuer… well you shouldn’t. There’s great deals all over the internet for a tag.

Overpriced, yes, but they are great quality even their quartz. I have a F1 quartz I bought 10 years ago before I knew much about watches and I absolutely abused it beyond what normal watches outside of GShocks should be expected to take. We’re talking everyday in extreme construction environments CONUS and OCONUS locations, along with upwards of 100 scuba dives while also never removing it for showers, hot tubs etc. I’ve moved on from Tag but have respect for their quality, at least in my experience. I would not expect my Oris, Hamiltons or Omega to survive such torture honestly.

As someone who owns a Royal Oak, Rolex’s and tag heuer’s I can’t complain, I love my two Carreras, yeah I paid about £16-£17,000 for them combined which I could’ve bought a Rolex GMT or gold date just but I love tag’s. You can get great skeleton Carreras for like 3 grand

I don't know whether you're bragging or have a genuine regard for multi thousand pound watches. I couldn't afford the sort of watches you're mentioning, being a pensioner, but when I was in the army in germany in the 70s, I bought an omega speedmaster. They weren't as expensive to buy then, even allowing for the difference in money value then and now. It was absolute rubbish and I sold it to somebody really cheap when they caught me in a temper with it. Wish I'd kept it now, because it'd be worth a bomb and I could flog it and get something decent. If you like posing with your cuffs rolled up, even in a snowstorm, ok, but don't expect any admiring glances from those in the know.

The biggest problem is, the fact that a baseline Aquaracer is almost double the price of a baseline Longines HydroConquest which is arguably a better watch with a more reputable history due to Tags escapades over the past 40 or so years. I don't dislike tag at all, I dislike the price of them.

I’ll let you know. I have a professional 200 chronograph, that never let me down, robust, a 38mm chronograph that is an absolute strap monster. The watch is now 24 years old, and again, never let me down. Legends such Senna worn only Tags and loved them!! If its good for Senna its good for me 😂

The quartz models from the 90s were excellent (the F1 seven handed chrono had a 27 jewelled ETA 251.262 with quick set hour hand). The later ones with six hands had a crappy polycarbonate ETA that you find in Swatch junk too). The current TAG range is over-priced... over 3000 euros for a Sellita SW200 is a joke, but wake-up cause IWC are charging 10000 euros for a Valjoux 7750 !!! So don't just hate on TH, go look at all the other Swiss con artists

I love the brand again as the designs are so good with amazing history so much so I own both an Aquaracer automatic and Formula 1 quartz and trying to get a Carrera glassbox. My Tag Heuer Link calibre 16 chronograph has been my daily for 15 years. Very accurate, takes a beating, worn it swimming in salt and fresh water including heavily chlorinated pools. Not a moisture seeps into it. Case screwed in crown. Front and display back sapphire and has only been serviced once. The link design bracelet is so iconic and brand distinguishable like no other. I recently partially retired it in favor of the Omega broad arrow GMT but would never part with the watch and will always remain fond of it. The new YT so called experts who swear that Apple Watches are the best invention since slice bread jump into the Grand Seiko bandwagon meanwhile discrediting iconic historical rich watches such as Tag Heuer that artificially spikes the GS prices making true Horology purist less likely to buy the GS because of the inflated prices. I want to own a GS in the future but not before completing my other timepieces bucket list.

About 15 years ago I bought a new Tag Carrera from a dealer. Within a week I could see screws floating around in the case back. Took it in to get fixed, and waited a month for it to get back. Came back with a different issue (can't remember details). Needless to say, I returned it at that point and bought an Omega. Never looked back. Not a fan of Tag though.

I like diving watches and racing/driving watches. If I want a diver I choose Omega (Seamaster), if I want a racing watch, I definitely pick Tag Heuer (Carrera/Monaco). As simple as that!

No one hates Tag Those who had Tags seem to get on with them. I’ve been wearing mines for 15 years still runs excellent 👌 Good recognising watch I mean nearly everyone has heard of Tag .

I bought a new with warranty carrera date for around $2000usd on chrono. It’s a Sellita inside rebranded as a Calibre 5. It’s nothing special, but it does the job and it costs a mere fraction of some far more expensive three hand watches. I wear it in rotation and it’ll probably last a long time. I’ll be able to service it indefinitely anywhere since it uses Sellita parts. That can’t be said for Rolex. I want a Rolex but it’s become known that they refuse to service anything older than 35 years which is sort of a joke

I have a tag heuer sel in gold with black dial,. t’s a divers watch so has great waterproofing and is has a sapphire crystal thats very strong,overall good price second hand would recommend if your looking to spend £300-400 on a watch and not go over budget.

I approve any watch that does what it says and is in my price bracket at the time tbh. I'm not gonna let outside influence (outside of quality reviews lol) influence my choices 🤷🏽‍♂️

I've had my Formula 1 for 20 years now, never missed a beat, still in amazing shape for a 20 year old daily wearer. That's under 50.00 a year for my watch. My next watch will be a TAG GMT, great brand, hate all you want.
