Video is great, but you need to do something about your audio.

Love the videos! For a future topic, could you talk about when it's appropriate (and not so appropriate) to say 谢谢?I tend to overuse谢谢because in English, I feel "thank you" is a really polite way to express gratitude to nearly anyone (family, friends, strangers, teachers etc)

Now I finally understand why the 大爷 at my university kept asking 你吃了吗? Luckily he always came after class had ended so the question made more sense back then. 谢谢讨论这个问题 🙌

I needed this! It's puzzling in the same way I was confused when ppl in England kept saying 'You alright?' to me :D

so its basically like "How are you" in chinese because nobody expects you to actually talk about how your life is in both

After 吃了吗,it doesn’t matter what you say, the asking party will always say “if not, come over to eat at my place.” It is not as complicated as what they interpreted. People simply care if you are starving or not because people around world didn’t generally have enough food 100 year ago. It is okay that people nowadays don’t know about this part culture. By asking have you eaten, people want to know if my neighbor has some drama in life, if you haven’t eaten, or still starve, I may help you at least a bowl of noodle, a simple soup so you can live along today.
