Hi Becca!! You are truly a huge inspiration to me. I recently became baptized on January 30th of this year after reading the entire book of Acts of how people are converted to Christianity and seeing that the Biblical way to salvation is through the Blood, Water and Spirit, as Jesus says to Nicodemus. God put this amazing family, called the Fishers, in my life who helped me study the Bible and grow with God through his Word. Initially, my faith began to grow from your inspiration. But my whole life I have done nothing but listen to others instead of getting into God's Word myself. But even you warned us about listening to others and to get into the Bible for ourselves and to fact check others with the Bible. I just wanted to thank you for all that you say and all that you do!!! Glory to God for your videos truly I'm glad to hear your opinion and fact check it. This reminds me of a time my old church brought in someone from a megachurch for some tech training, and the guy was telling us how his pastor once came out on stage, cracked open a beer and started drinking it while he was preaching, trying to say it's ok to drink. Yeah, it's ok to drink (not get drunk), but what kind of message was this guy showing to everyone watching his message?! Maybe someone was struggling being sober and then they see their pastor drinking and they think, "hey, if it's ok for him i guess it's ok for me." Ugh!

@@mrwhite5872 greetings Mr. White. Based on this link it seems you are promoting non-Trinitarian theology. While i can appreciate this position, and the many others in the world, but i feel i must paint the “elephant-in-the-room” for you and all bible believing non-Trinitarians. History shows that the bible as you know it, the 27 books of the NT, did not come into existence until the 5th century. 2 factors play an important part to this history. 1 being there is no time in history where the church fathers were in 100% agreement of the 27 books and, 2 there were 3 councils in late 4th century (councils of Hippo, Rome, Carthage) that decided which books would be in and which books would not be in the canon of the NT. What does this have to do with the Trinity??? These councils came AFTER the council of Nicaea in 325 which began the development of Trinity doctrine that would continue to develop over the next few centuries. In summary - the Trinity doctrine came from the same church that the 27 book canon came from. 🤷🏽♂ Peace!!!

But I also see where you are coming from. What do you think about his other sermons? Because I have learned a lot from some sermons. I’ve been to many small churches where pastors make inappropriate comments like the popular Christian one that we should not sit on our blessed assurances but do something. They make crude “jokes” that are borderline sexually risqué and say all kinds of things to fit in with the world/culture as a joke so as not be boring but “knowing what’s going on.” This is across the Church, unfortunately.

They also tend to repeat sentences a lot in their songs, which is a sure way to hypnotic state and is often used to get people in that state, so that you are not actively engaging your mind when listening to the music or to the sermon afterwards. Hey there, I wanted to say a few things about this video you posted. Of course, it is just my point of view. I am aware that there are pastors and spiritual leaders that openly promote sin, but I am not sure all those who you named in your video are knowingly doing that. Just because they said a word or sentence in a sermon or a song that is not biblical, does not mean we should throw away all the other messages. I believe they also have good sermons sometimes if not, most of the time, and If you listen to the sermon of a pastor just to find errors or mistakes, I am pretty sure you won´t find in this world a pastor that is irreproachable. But for you to say you will no longer listen to those just because of that one thing they said is not wise I think. It is also confusing to people because the pastor you advise people to listen to, is certainly criticized in someone else's video or maybe that pastor will deceive you later in doing or saying also things that are questionable., if this happens, will you throw away all that he had already fed you with?. By doing so we are dividing the body of Christ. New believers will go from church to church.. I think the best thing to do would be to talk directly to that pastor about the specific thing that he/she did or say that was not biblical. If he is humble enough he will acknowledge it, repent and correct it. If not then we just have to pray for him, But just completely turning him off is not wise I think, this is implying we are expecting them to always be perfect, a standard none of us can meet. John 8:7: When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” And for you to say those churches don´t bear fruits, sounds to me like you actually knowing with God which churches bear fruits. We should take a position of humility and not judge what only God is able/should to judge. KZbin is full of videos of Christians criticizing this or that church or pastor, how they dress, how they worship, how much money they make etc. And don´t get me wrong, I am aware there are some churches that knowingly preach the wrong Gospel, and that is kind for us to try and let new believers know about those churches. But the one you listed although some of their messages can be misleading, I don't think they worship the devil. Luke 9:49-50 “Master,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him because he is not one of us.” “Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.” John 8:7: When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again just my opinion, I am not pretending it is absolute. may the holy spirit enlighten us more on that.
@luaramorais8342 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with all you said. It's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this video. “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” We should take a position of humility and not judge what only God is able/should to judge. We are not called to judge people we are called to love people. We don't know anything God knows everything he knows the process of their hearts and souls and the action of the Holy Spirit n those churches so that's why only he is capable of judging. God said: "with the measure that you judge you will be judged" and "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?" - meaning we should look at ourselves and not others we should focus on our relationship with God ask Jesus to clean us and teach us and be transformed by him, focus on our process of transformation and pray for our brothers and sisters!
@trishjones2 жыл бұрын
💯Couldn't agree with you more. I think people believe that because they can create their own platforms these days via social media, it gives them the right to say what they want to say. I always say that ministry is not tearing each other down - and publicly when you don't even know the other person. Paul wrote letters to the various churches because he had relationship with them. These people have zero relationship and as you say, this dangerous finger pointing is dividing the church. It's a maturity thing and I think we had all better grow up before Jesus returns. He's coming for a bride, not a bunch of preacher bashers.
@austinfarlow20652 жыл бұрын
I don’t necessarily see it as judging. Would you say that Paul was judging the churches when he went and rebuked them for doing wrong? People miskew this word so often and instead of standing up for what is right they back down bc of their fear of man or bc it is not what they want to hear. Instead of judging look at it as a warning. We should constantly be discerning things as Christians, testing all things with the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22) There will be many false teachers in the last days that come to tickle the ears (2 Timothy 4:3). They will be wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15-20). We must hold firm to ALL parts of the Bible. Remember in John 8:11 Jesus said to the woman who was going to be stoned, “Go and sin no more.” We must repent and trust alone in Christ.

@@austinfarlow2065 In England, if you say the word "flipping" for some people it's swearing. There are certain word the American's say that we wouldn't use in England. As I was told one day, "don't preach your convictions." That doesn't include sin but just because I recite a song from a record doesn't mean I even listen to the song, I'm making a connection. To me, this is your perspective and it's not up to you to push your perspective onto someone else. And in answer to your question about Paul, he sent letters, he didn't broadcast it to everyone else apart from the people he was speaking to. All the people you slate may never see your video. They have no relationship with you so in effect, I believe - just my belief - this is nothing more than rant and divide. I say let the Holy Spirit do what only the Holy Spirit can do. We don't tear out the entire book of Psalms because of what David did. And yes the false prophets are also those who interpret from their own perspective and then push those perspectives on others. This is also being false. Did God tell you to call those people out... on Social Media at that? If you went to Jesus and told him you don't like xyz - which is okay, I do that all the time - is Jesus's answer "go on social media and slate them, tell others why you're not listening to them and suggest they do the same?" Something to think about.

I've been Christian for a year and a half now but I've only been going to a local church recently and have only gone 3 times... Although I've been hearing a lot of good teachings and loving the communal worship towards the Lord, I've been hearing some things that sound like the prosperity gospel. Stuff like (paraphrasing) "the only times I've found myself in financial trouble it's because I haven't prayed enough" "it's never in god's will for you to be poor" "if you donate to the church God will bless you in your personal life." "Get rid of a poverty mindset." It just feels really conflicting to me. It's believing that our lives here are supposed to be personally prosperous because we're Christian... It's the opposite. As Christians we are completely out of place in the world and more likely we will struggle and suffer (and not always because of direct persecution.) It sounds anti scripture. Their defenses were that it asks us to give to the needy and we can't do that unless we have money... Which is such a twisting in my opinion of scripture. But it goes against the scriptures like Jesus saying to take up your own cross, deny yourself, the world will hate you. When Jesus prayed for the cup to be passed from him. When Paul tells slaves to remain slaves and be content in that life loving their master. Contentment in poverty and riches. It bothers me a lot that this is being taught for many reasons. It's also the church of one of my best friends and one of the people who taught me so much about Christ and his parents are the pastor's.... I need to tell him because I love him so much.

There’s a lot here. I love the commentary on emphasizing the importance of the gospel actually being preached as opposed to focusing on production and doing whatever to bring as many people on as of the church is a business model. It’s very concerning and something Christians need to fight back against. I’ll say this though; I think lately there’s this uprising of the exact opposite that can be equally as distracting where we shake our heads at how certain people walk their faith and it’s a problem when we go as far as to say they’re not Christian for it or shouldn’t be supported. Like a point in this video was not listening to hillsong bc of the “hurt like hell” line and in a past video it was because artists like maverick city music would use the term “you” too often and it took away from worshipping God so that should be avoided too. I wonder where the line is and where the heart of the person writing the music or the sermon comes into play in Gods eyes. Like when David would cry out or when Jesus flipped over the tables when his fathers house was disrespected or when Peter rebuked brothers in Christ forcefully, I believe God saw the heart of those actions as opposed to just the actions themselves if that makes sense? I just wonder if in this time where the world (especially the U.S.) is so broken and we as Christians can so easily point out what’s wrong, that we may be missing the mark on pointing out what is good and how we can help. I’m checking myself as I write this bc I recognize my biases. I have an aversion to we as Christians saying something isn’t Christian enough bc often we say that to things that are nuanced forms of expression but still reflect the gospel (like with art, film, music etc). Like I listen to Ruslan’s streams a lot on KZbin and some people label him a false preacher bc of how inviting he is to share the gospel with anyone but i can’t see how someone can say he doesn’t preach the gospel. Idk it’s just a thought and I recognize in this video you were specifically speaking to the three points you brought up and they were all fair! Like I feel you on the Joel osteen point especially. And God is serious about sin which is why Jesus preached about it so much. Is there any way we as Christians can empower and invite those we think are missing the Mark to reach towards holiness? Whether they are famous preachers and artists or our neighbors and fellow church goers? Guess I just wanna hear yalls opinions on this I’m genuinely curious!

I believe it’s undeniable what God is permitting to happen in the entire western world is directly related to this very issue you so thoroughly dealt with in this video. The Gospel has been repackaged to sooth the ears of the culture. Since the rise of the self esteem movement of the 60’s resulted in the elevation of man and a diminished low view of God. Sin has become mere mistakes and acts of service has taken precedence over repentance. 2 Timothy 4:3

thank you so so much for this video!!! I'm so proud of you for honoring Jesus and speaking the Truth without fear of man!! this is so biblical, praise God!!! He is glorified in this!!!! this was 100% scriptural. I had just recently discovered Michael Todd and saw/loved the "U R loved series", but I remember seeing the "f.u." that's totally not ok. I see what he's trying to do, he's trying to attract the unbelievers, but is going about it all wrong and completely confusing them and new believers. for hillsong united, I'm so guilty of that too. I've been saved (I believe for my whole life. I'm 33 and can't remember a time when I didn't know Jesus is my Savior) but anyways, I didn't always walk with Him. I started to a few years ago when He woke me up and rescued me from my abusive ex-husband. but even as of recently, I was way too casual with the word "hell" somehow thinking it was harmless thing and wanting to be a cool aunt in front of my teenage neice who doesn't seem to think I'm cool anymore lol. my step mom pointed out that I shouldn't say that in front of her. she's 17, but still a child. I took care of her and loved her since she was little and I guess I felt bad that now she kinda just thinks I'm lame. haha. she was right to point it out. since then, I've used it a lot less and not in front of the kids anymore because I totally see what a terrible example that is. and I've been more and more convicted of it in the last couple months. I slip a bit but catch myself and change it to "how on earth?!?!" or "why on earth!?!" and it does make me uncomfortable now. because hell is evil and such the opposite of God. so I know now that it's not a casual expression. praise the Lord for convicting me!!!! I needed it so bad. I see the error of hillsong united using that. I believe in my heart that they genuinely love our Lord, but like me, the made a stupid and careless mistake (although their intentions were better than mine...eeek), but I didn't know they said this. we're all still sinners, thank the Lord that He saved us!!! we would never make it!! but yeah, with such a big audiemce, they should totally be more careful. Joel Osteen.....yes, oh my gosh, stay away. he's dangerous. this is amazing because I was literally asking the Lord the last few days to help me discern false teachers. wow, He is so so good!!! I've been binge watching your videos btw!!! thank you so much for everything you do!!! I love you, sister!!! I can't wait meet you when we're finally with Jesus in our real Home SOON!!! I was wondering if you know why people say rick warren is a false teacher? I couldn't find anything, but I'm weary. I heard the same about Joyce meyer which does sadden me. but I'd rather know the Truth and be faithful to Jesus. so some stuff came up about her. however, I'm undetermined as to whether or not she's in human error or if she's a wolf in sheep's clothing. any thoughts?

Teach the world of its broken condition so that they can receive the good news to the full and see their need for Jesus and the church that leads us towards Him. Let me ask you a question. If Mike Todd loves Jesus so much. Then he will know that the Bible is the power we only need to represent God on earth right? So then why is he doing all these illustrations and acts ( spitting on his hand , literally hobbing on it and putting it on someone’s eyes ). The Bible has enough power to raise people to life through the name of Jesus. So when you are on earth illustrating what the Bible says to draw in crowds. That is not biblical. Nowhere in the Bible does it say copy what Jesus did to get a point across. I urge you to do more research on Mike Todd and those preachers and watch Paul washer and your views will drastically be changed.

I'm very uncomfortable to see Christians making videos like this too. I feel if you're burdened by a pastor's teaching you should pray and fast about it and expect God to do something about it. The Bible does mention exposing lies but I feel it's not like this. It s about the church you're planted in and the lies spoken to you. If it's another church you should leave it to God. Every Christian has the holy spirit. He will reveal the truth. All we need to do is ask. But there's wisdom in not exposing in public. After all we are family. Most videos have the speakers speaking very haughtily or mocking. I'm glad at least this sister isnt. Yet I'm still unconvinced about taking these matters to a world platform.

@@DanielJenkins92 It saddens me that people can become so petty over the simplest things. All he was doing was giving a visual representation of what Jesus did. Also, Michael Todd gave a public apology after because so many people complained about how gross it was. We need more pastors like Michael Todd that don't bull crap the Word of God. @@justin_leavens you say I judged Jesus? You don’t even know me to say that Mikes apology was to his fans. He didn’t even apologise to God in the video once? He even said thank you to everyone for always supporting me. Show me how that is him glorifying God above himself? Also there is no judgement. There is truth. The Bible is sharper than any double edged sword so we do not have to illustrate it in ways that Mike did to get a point across. Jesus had every right to do what he did because he is the son of God and has all authority to do whatever he desires to heal somebody. Mike Todd doesn’t have the desire to do whatever he pleases to illustrate something. He literally re enacts what Jesus ‘ did ‘ but in a way that was actually extremely unbiblical and completely wrong. There is no judgement. There is concern and calling out the truth for the Truth. If Mike believes the Bible is the most powerful thing in the world through Jesus Christ why does he always have to do illustrations to get a point across to people? That doesn’t show someone who truly trusts in the power of the gospel. “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2 Timothy 4:3 God bless you and just as you have an opinion I too am allowed one.

In his letter to the Corinthians Paul was addressing people who had been raised and living under the value system of the Roman Empire which was very hedonistic. The Romans believed that this earthly life is all we get so we might as well live it up and pursue every fleshly desire possible. The Corinthian church is known for being carnal and Paul was calling them out on it. This is why context is important. "It's in the bible" (while proceeding to quote verses out of context and divorced from their original meaning) is a phrase that's often used to distort and justify all manner of ungodliness.

I'm a firm believer that if we don't know someone personally, we shouldn't be calling them out on social media or any format. It's not my place. I would hope if i ever gave fasle teaching, a personal friend or mentor would reach out to me and try to give wisdom of correction for my behavior. No one is going to be changed or corrected by internet christians saying you have false teaching or are sinning. If i hear someone whose popular give a teaching i disagree on, i will keep it to myself or my small group teaching. I also prefer the idea some true believers can give false teachings but not be false teachers. We all go through ups and downs in our lives and faith. Some teachings may not be right but it is through the elder system and our christian mentors we should be corrected. We should be together as christians and deal with issues privately. The outside world is looking at us and sees how we all argue and call out eachother for music and various mega church slogans. it's unncesssary. God will lead them to correction. We need to be together not divided over this. If we want to save as many people as possible and teach the good news of christ, it's going to happen when we stop fighting between eachother.

I came across your video & found it very interesting, as my parents & I were just having a discussion this past Sunday about the many disturbing, unbiblical doctrines that have crept into churches as well as other professing Christian circles. People are often unaware when these & other types of unbiblical teaching insidiously enter their church because they are not grounded through lack of studying the Word themselves, & as a result, have no discernment. Many are trusting that because a pastor or Christian writer is popular, holds a position in a seminary, has theology that “sounds good” or right, or whose teachings are accepted by the majority of other Christians that this makes their teachings true & Biblical, but this is not the case. As Believers, we all need to be studying God’s Word daily for the teaching, conviction, correction, & training in righteousness it provides us, & so that we may be complete & thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17) & be adequately prepared/protected in daily spiritual warfare as mentioned in Ephesians 6. Thank you for encouraging us to look more closely at what is being taught as it compares with God’s standard set forth in His Word. 📖✝️💜

He too was trying to emphasize the horror of hell but knowing that God would be with him.

I agree with being aware of what we’re singing in worship songs. That being said, I do think we need to acknowledge the nature of the English language in that it is a man made thing. All words and phrases have their contexts….and that’s the only way they have meaning. We have given them their meaning. There are many words and phrases that hold double meaning. “God” and “god” are the same word. But have very different meanings and implications. “Hell” in reference to the biblical hell, and “hell” in the phrase “hurts like hell” are different. Different contexts. Different meanings. Just something to think about.

Yea, this could easily turn into a purity spiral, or religiousness, or preoccupation about policing words instead of about glorifying God and building His kingdom. That is certainly a danger, just as using our mouths is a danger. We don’t really know what part intention plays. Some curse words in one language are perfectly innocent in another, for example. Also people tend to group bethel in with hillsong et al when giving this pitch, but I really don’t see the similarity other than it being a big church, they’ve preached uncomfortable things that the world doesn’t like during my time there that even upset some enough to make a scene and walk out. I don’t consider them in the same group. It’s easy to generalize.
